What's wrong with ONLY accounting the beetle's death once his corpse disappears? I FINISHED the Healer Beetles level in time, but still lost.

This has good potential, but it does feel incomplete - I think a story of some sort would enhance things a lot. Also, enemy bombs should damage the enemies as well as the player. 3/5 for now, but I'll keep watching this one :)

FINISH
the first to try the final stage
the boss dose not change it's shell
all the time using the protective shell unit time's up
can not hurt the boss even 1hp
but the second time
quite hard to finish
maybe the game have some problem

Nice job - but why not add an option for mouse control? Then it's playable on the Wii and opens it up to more casual gamers.

The mechanics of the game are stuff I usually like, but I'm not getting into it. I think it's because some things are kinda overwhelming. You just stay in a static arena without seeing much new during the fight. The enemies (at least for the first three rounds, that's all I saw) just splat when they die with no cool death animation. This game needs a bit more pizazz.

The game is ok, and the sound effects are good. PROBLEM: I left the game for a while, and when I came back the money and level advance were the same, but all upgrades were LOST.

The attack controls are a little confusing for me. I would rather have them all on one row (1 - 6), or maybe have the icons on the screen layed out as they are on the keyboard. So 3 over 3, same as Q W E are over A S D. So that I don't have to think about what is where. It's probably not an issue if you use the same skills all the time, but I don't. Other than that it is fun and I like it.

I started up the game from its "saved" state, and while I have access to the higher levels and the same amount of money I had before I left, I have none of my new powers.

Needs a lot of bug fixes. A bug's corpse didn't disappear so I was caught in an infinite loop. No way to exit or pause either.

intresting game with a wide variety of power ups. good animation. however, when stuff like mines blow up, the explosion doesnt choose who gets hurt, everything dies. the leetle mine bugs, should hurt other bugs not just you. also, when something dies b/c it kills itself, like the mine bugs, give me my money for it. just becuase i used skill and evasion to dodge them doesnt mean i didnt earn my cash. man, i hate stupid stuff like that. 3/5

I had the same thing happen as OriginalSup3rman. Got to the Miner Beetle level, and nothing is happening. the corpse has been sitting there for a minute and a half

Very very clever! If it has a disadvantage, it's how repetitive the game is, not because the levels are repetitive (they're not) but because you have to replay lots of the levels over and over and over and OVER again in order to get the money you need to buy the equipment you need to survive the higher levels. Still, great game, great graphics, cool design. 4/5.

some serious flaw i just found;
If you, while playing, drag one of your skills to another slot, you cannot use that skill anymore during that battle!
Great.
For the rest, yeah, cool idea, but i'm not tempted to play it over and over. 3/5

gerardbarta, I tested the energy pods a few times. Sometimes they don't give you the 5+ energy, sometimes they do. I think you have to equip them in the 1st slot for them to have an effect.

Great game. Can use some tweaks, like descriptions, arena visibility (offscreen bugs, weapons blocking view), such like that already mentioned in the comments.

Very well designed game. It's the little things like making the bettle's legs move in the same way an actual beetle's legs move count. Fun, high quality and great gameplay. Good work!

Everything was fine 'til the game mocked me for not bringing a reverse-fire attack to the boss. Allow me to misquote Yahtzee here:
EXCUSE ME for not possessing the space brain necessary to know that I'd need this functionality this one time and never again!

Huh, I never tried to get behind the spinner. Its buddies always abused me to death before I could get that far. On Survival III I just ended up using freeze and acid on it, killed it pretty fast.
