Game crashed (I think?) fighting the soul collector - I was up against the bottom wall and got pushed up against it then just went to black.

More to my previous comment:
On Lvl 35, I finished 2 rooms after a boss and my computer froze.
I had to restart my computer, and it set me back all the way to level 1
I'm using a mac...does this game not support mac's?

the problem with bosses is that they die easily if you mash the attack button while next to them, they have poweful attacks but if you play offensively then its easier

found something interesting,I killed a zombie and he came back as a Zombie Boss,how high is the chance of that happening,and that happend to me in the first floor,but I still managed to beat him.

I love how simple the game is, yet it keeps you interested because of the dungeon itself, you never know where you'll end up or what items you'll find. Awesome game!

game glitched and eats random weapons. bosses can also kick you into walls locking the game. knocked down from 5 to 3 stars.. game gets grindy/repetitive after an hour or so of play and has a number of unresolved really annoying game bugs.

muffinwaffle, the color of the item determines what kind of stats/abilities the item might have. If the item is a helm, boots or plate armor, it also determines what armor set it belongs to (gray, blue, purple, red, light blue) which determines what set bonus you will get for having all three of the same color. There are some named items which have much better stats for that level, like the one you found and a sword called "Dark Sword of 10,000 Cuts" among others.
The Red items are only available when you see the spirit after defeating the boss and the Light Blue ones are only available from defeating the soul bosses in the spirit world. Gray, Blue and purple are in all the chests.

Iothil, a lot of games can be played with a min/max mindset, doesn't make it a requirement to do so when playing the game. If you choose to play a game using a min/max mindset, and the game isn't fun then the fault is yours, not necessarily a fault with the game. The minimal controls are actually not that bad and make gameplay better if a bit hectic at times. The "hype" is generally the simple fact that people left comments right after or while they played the game for a bit and how much they liked the game was fresh in their mind as opposed to a day or two later.

sorry, but I don't understand why everyone is hyping this one so much. Not much control of the hero, mainly stupid min/max character "leveling" and all of it a game that I can go over in 5 minutes and say "meh". Not bad, certainly entertaining, but not the hype everyone makes it appear to be, certainly not one of the best games I played and certainly not among the top games on kongregate for me.

Two minutes in, I could tell this would be a very fun and very enjoyable game. It's now been three hours, my best run was up to level thirteen and I enjoyed every single second of it. I didn't even care that it was getting repetitive, it was just a really really great game to waste time on. (And boy did I do just that.) All in all, 4/5 from me simply because it was repetitive but other than that, Top marks. Controls were perfect (What little there were of them) The powers were pretty awesome and the bosses gave me so much happiness when I killed them each and every time. Enough of the rambling, let this comment be sent.

@Hydrology, if you want to make yourself as OP as possible, try to get all the armor equipment from 1 set. Doesn't matter which, even though each set bonus is different. That's right. You get a great bonus from completing a set, so go do that.
