Quite addicting, although i do agree with the overpriced shiny. A few suggestions would be to:
1) Allow multiple workers to work on one project, and increase the speed.
2) Have more ways to earn shiny, such as destroying an enemies town hall.
3) Have an alternative way of buying stuff that you pay for with shiny. Like you could buy an extra worker for so many resources.
Other than that, I like this game. If anyone agrees with what I said, give this a [+] so it can be seen by the developers.

If we got to keep all of our monsters that didn't die then people can just keep spamming daves or other strong monsters with high goo cost

Actually this isnt completely a facebook game, it used to be a part of old(dot)casualcollective(dot)com but the owners transferred to facebook for money and left its site to die

Ok, never mind. I'll go play on FB. Just started unlocking my 2nd monster, all i got is some pokey's and 2 snipers.. And i get attacked by a wild monster tribe with 22 BRAINS?!?!

there needs to be a point to games like this. The play is fun, I can tolerate the insanely long wait times ... but what is the point? Build something bigger because .... what?

hmprh. even slower and buggier then on FB. Just finished redecorating my entire yard, build 30 blocks of wall, one by one.. "oops something broke" message. Reload.. Hey, whadda ya know! It reverted back to 30 minutes ago.

Blimp is right. Ryan, these are the same developers that decided to put the game outside of Facebook. How is that stealing, when it's already yours?

@ Ryan, the game was made by casualcollective, who is listed as a developer in the credits. I was a member of casualcollective.com, before it revamped and removed most of it's games. Backyard Monsters was one of the newer ones that appeared on the site. CC (casualcollective) needed a way to make the game more social, since their old site was somewhat lacking, so they hooked up with Facebook, and there you have it. Yes, they put it on facebook before kongregate. But there is no stealing going on whatsoever.

...Even though I like the game... It's not full version! I'm not paying for ANY game that's not a full version, no matter how good it is. And I'm definitely not going to be switching back and forth from facebook to kong. My home gaming site is Kongregate.com. That's how it is.

Something that would be a good add if he has the time would be a way to exchange materials because I get way to much of one material. The exchange rate would have to be something like 5:1 though to keep it fair.

I like how the storage goes over temporarily for extra bonuses (e.g., you can receive all of 25000 twigs even if you don't have enough room, you just can't add anymore manually until you go back under or at your limit). Nice touch.

Omfg, to all you people complaining just...just shush. It has been on facebook for a few years now. And they STILL are making developments, banking everything at one time has just been recently put in. Stop whining like 5 year old and just play the game for what it is now.

Needs some way to control your troops during the battle - they do the stupidest things sometimes ex clear out all the other buildings before attacking the tower...

the cost and building time increase is WAAAAY too steep, I've only started playing for 5 minutes and the townhall is costing almost 300k resources total

Since I use a cookie blocker and NoScript, I messed with my settings for a while trying to get this game to work in order to properly rate it. I never was able to get it to work without fully disabling my FF Ad-Ons, therefore 1/5 stars. Personally, I dislike the FB style games with a ton of tracking and data gathering stuff added on to the game, there is no good reason for the game to have to run so many scripts. You can keep it.
