Hey everyone! If anyone here wants to convert AS2 code to AS3 I set up a quick guide on how to do it. This uses old code that you wont want in newer projects but the site I set up will explain how to use it! http://codingflashfast.webs.com/

I'm guessing that since this tutorial was made forever ago, now that gamestop has bought kongregate this will never be updated. I'm not even sure the guys who started kongregate are even still a part of it.

so i have to become an adobe member to test flash out.......also why on earth is their no new tutorial by now? this looks so old and doesn't help me with my main problem (so far) of "need fla file set as default file to test"

It's better start to learn pure Actionscript 3, and using game engines like flashpunk or flixel... although to make game you need coding skills and big desire to make it

I don't understand how to download it, when I open CS5, it says that Windows cannot recognise ".adadownload" files... And I can't find the Adobe Download Assistant anywhere!

CS5 is real, but I don't see why the tutorial needs to be updated when this will work with any other version of flash.

Hey guys, ive seen the play counts for this compared to tutorial 8 and alot of people drop it, stick with it, some places may seem tough but with enough desperation and google anything can be done, these are great tutorials and they really teach you alot about AS2 and flash, check out the game i made from this and see for yourself that it can be done, http://www.kongregate.com/games/Gloogloos/submarine, stick with it

@jason95is Number one this is a tutorial for making SHOOTER flash games. Number two you're just copying an idea and making it better by putting a multiplayer version. Just like the chinese engineering industry. No offense to chinese people but it's true.
