I'm guessing that since this tutorial was made forever ago, now that gamestop has bought kongregate this will never be updated. I'm not even sure the guys who started kongregate are even still a part of it.

I downloaded the free trial of CS5 from the website then used a keygen I downloaded and now I have the full version :)

$250 isnt all that much if you consider the only reason people buy it is to make games and flash animations (mainly for adds) both of which more than recover the loss when done by someone who knows how. and you can do most of it in notepad and Microsoft paint it just takes a bit longer to code because you have to write out where you want it to spawn instead of putting it there on the page. or of course you could use the trial like relax said. and yes it is impossible to get game maker games on kong.

AS2? are people still using it? surely AS3 is much more relevant given that these tutorials are for people wanting t get into development. Teaching an old version of a language isn't a good idea IMO especially when AS2 relates to F8 and F10 is about to be released.

For GNU/Linux guys like me: there's a Flash 4 Linux (F4L) project, currently in alpha state, to develop in Flash. Or use WINE - blame Adobe's horrible Linux support (if someday I ever decide to make a game, I'll do it in Java... (BTW, Kongregate should support Java games like it does with Flash :D ).

Cmon everybody!!! Stop complaining about it being not free!!! There are more ways to download it!!! I didn't pay for it because i made a research and finally found it for free!!! Just put some effort in finding it if you really want it or just forget about it.... Just don't make us waste our life reading " Hell Im not gonna buy this piece of sh**!!!!"

fyi to people who complain about outdated tutorials: you can still get cs3 for a very, very cheap price on the internet if you see where im going ;)

People stop complaining about it being "outdated". It does not matter, in flash CS4 and CS5 you can choose AS2. You don't need a CS5 tutorial or anything like it...
