Infinite money bug:
build a market, set selling any resourses, check selling price, then manually print in selling amount "0", press sell. you get the money, but do not lose resourse.

i don't think its balanced you get 30 archers and 40 soldiers go to a gold mine get eaten by tigers in 5-7 moves fix auto balance also try to make it so you can make more than one building at a time i cant ever remember to make one every turn so i ask that you make it so we can make more than one building and perhaps adding more units/stronger units to the start so you can get the mines thank you.
It is because soldiers and archers are the weakest creatures of the game; there is a warning icon on the enemies info if it seems they are to strong for your army

a small problem is u can't have more than 6 unit types at a time in one city and theres no way to get rid of the troops u don't want so u can't get other troops

im not sure how this game has a 3.15??? i voted 5/5, played it all the way through had a blast. It is based of homm but yet very different. I'm also impressed that you can make this whole game in flash.

okay... first time playing, and i cannot put troops into my army... i'm clicking and dragging like crazy, and its not working, any help?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
No, I have to give you a 5 simply because of the HOMM connection. However, it is middling. SO now im left wanting to go bitorrent HOMM3...
This is worse than having an 80s song stuck in your head.

Great bug: If you click constantly on the "End of Turn" button, it skip enemy turns, giving you resources. Use it as much as you can, mates before it's gonna be fixed!

Well, found a bug. If you try to surrender while creature is located at the area where the menu pops up the game pretty much freezes, kinda. You can continue your turn but only either waiting or defending, after that nothing.

Good game, though if it was compared to HOMM, then not so much. A few things I want to see: spell book or hero as a controllable unit (there is pretty much no point in having a hero right now, besides leading the creatures), I'm not too sure if it's already in there but splitting units, and that's all I can think of right now.

I am not able to reproduce the issue. That was probably a isolated issue due to several games in parallel ... who knows.
After playing several times i think the following improvements will be welcome:
inside each town having a button to navigate to the next town and a button to recruit all troops
Really scrolling is also necessary.

How much the enemy builds up their forces seems to be affected by who you pick to play. As the knight, the computer players don't build up too much, but playing as the vampire they do (I've only played the two so far). Still, once you know the relative strengths of the unit types, this game is really easy. Needs difficulty levels or something (apart from the oft mentioned map scrolling). Also, the unit quantity tag in the battle screen gets hidden too easily (either off screen or behind other units), so their needs to be a way to see this, as well as see my own units' details (seeing enemy units details should be related to the spying skill, I think). It would be great if their could be some sort of campaign mode, possibly with different goals (ever see King's Bounty, an old game along similar lines?)...

As an "everything related Might&Magic" fan I can't dislike this game, and I really appreciate someone took inspiration from HOMM and created a flash game out of it! But I think it's far from being finished... I see a lot of improvement could be done, from GUI to battle system... there is a HUGE amount of work to do, and I think the developer already know that, so... keep up the good work! ;)

i dont know man on my first battle some wasps gave me a game over so i think the game is not user-friendly and is too difficult.

Really good start. Add option to scroll around the map so you can see where you want to go would help alot. Discription on unit to indicate if it's ranged or melee.

Refreshing the browser seems to fix the problem of choosing the second skill, though the icons are still a inch or so below where they should be still.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Major bug when you level up is that the choice for skill is bugged, you can't selected the second skill because the icon are down further and the first icon is blocking the second skill box. Fix this and this would be a decent clone of heroes of might and magic.

The other two AI just save their units while you deal with the first one so the endgame is just them with gigantic stacks...

Try defending whilst moving one of your troops on the battlefield.
Or don't, if you don't like your game to bug the hell up.

great game...i get bugs where buttons dont appear in the right spot but they don't inhibit play really. even a cursory storyline would make this more fun. I would love to see an expansion with opponents on the same map with greater variability of difficulty and an infinite dungeon to level in. Also diplomacy would be fun.

pathway very pathetic. always move into enemy path. cause unnecessary fighting. should automatically capture building after defeating defenders. should have a simple way of returning hero back to castle with 1 click/autowalk.

Wow. I feel sorry for anybody desperate enough to make this. Ah, well, I'm going back to Skyrim. That lusty nord woman in the bar at the last town had something goin' with me. Kinda weird, cause I'm an Argonian and all, but whatever. Kinky! 4/5.

good adaptation of HOMM although it's hard to come back from the V to this version. One bug, after a while, computer remains stuck on one player turn and you con't get rid of that except by reloading the page. The bug will appear almost every turn afterwards. Area of improvement:
see characteritics of creatures,
increase last level creatures offense and defense (I found that creatures are not well balanced)
being able to scroll the map would be very appreciated
If someone else has the same bug, could you send me the HeroesOfWar.sol in the directory:C:\Users\ your name \AppData\Roaming\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects\ETFFDW8Q\chat.kongregate.com\gamez\0012\5813\live\Heroes.swf or something like this...
It could help me to reproduce this bug and solve it...
Thanks

On one hand, I find myself delighted that somebody liked HOMM enough to make a flash game clone of it. On the other hand, I find myself disappointed that its so...meh. If I wasn't a huge fan of II, I wouldn't have given this game a second glance, and as it is the cluttered and unclear and muddle graphics are a huge turn off. The battles depend too much on text, and need more animations for the luck/moral. I also keep accidentally losing turns because I click a square the monster can't reach, and they try to anyway-often wandering around a monster entirely, instead of attacking. I also can't figure out how to view monster stats outside the castle either. :/

Even though the concept is basically stolen, there is no flash version and it doesn't really violate any copyrights. We need a way to scroll on the map, and maybe some Fog of War so we don't know exactly what the foes are doing once we gain that scrolling ability. I'll give it a 4/5.
