this game mechanic is really cool. i think you should develop it a bit further. perhaps use bitmaps instead of sprites to speed up the framerate. some levels have "insta-fail" areas. The guy should be able to recover from descending to a lower level. Also, a visual indication of how far the arms can stretch would be good.
