This right here is as beautiful a game as you are going to find on this site. But only if you are willing to stick to it and got the brains for it as well. Watching a successful mechanism work is so satisfying. :)

Minor suggestion:
Clicking symbols adds them to the end of the program. This would save you having to drag everything.

i had it perfectly figured out. all the manipulators were in their spots, the glyphs were in position, the program was perfectly synched. then i realized that the molecules were not in the correct order.

Love this. A brilliant sort of puzzle/coding idea. Also, because I know that people tend to overlook this, I have to say that the soundtrack is BRILLIANT! Every bit matches the simple little industrial/alchemical theme perfectly. Brilliant job with that. This is definitely a 5/5 from me, as well as a fave. As a tip to those playing: I hope this goes without saying, but if you want to keep your machines running efficiently, the proportions between the lengths of the programming for each part should have ratios of powers of two. If you didn't understand that, if one of your manipulators is 18 cycles in length, the only other length there should be is 9. If you have one that has 8 cycles of programming, you can also have manipulators with 4 cycles and 16 cycles (you could also have 2 cycles, but that couldn't actually do anything since opening and closing is already 2)

This is Fun, Difficult, and Makes you think about it, has multiple solutions, an easy way to share those solutions, and has that little "you have to play it for a while to get it" trait. everything you need for a great game. i like games with multiple solutions so you can share your brilliance with everyone. another game that only has that multiple solutions one, is fantasctic contraption. some of the things they made there were brilliant. i cant wait till i get farther and can try some of those solutions ppl made. 5/5 and favourited.

If anyone wanted to know what this masterpiece of music is, the album name is called "Rever… Peut-etre…". You can find it on the Jamendo website, and the best part is that it's free and legal to download from the Artist himself.

all right, ill admit it, i have absolutely no idea what i'm doing. but im not going to rate it a zero because "I" don't get, when others obviously do.

One of the greatest puzzle games I've had the pleasure of playing.
The basic idea is simple yet it makes for a such complex and challenging game.....BIG PROPS TO YOU DEV
The only down side is the inability to save your progress through the levels.
Its really inconvenient to have to save your code from each level (and then input each one) if you want to come back later and start from where you finished..... and of coarse I learnt that the hard way :/

after playing for two minutes I was frustrated and ready to rate as a zero. After five minutes, I see why the top comments all call this game brilliant. Extremely clever and cool game. 5/5

The best game on Kongregate. The mechanics are brilliant, and while simple, still manage to create incredibly complex structures. The programming is lots of fun, excpecially pacing. Even more fun is watching the manipulators move around, and do their job. The suits suits the game perfectly, and is top notch when it comes to flash games. And most importantly, it is never too repetitive, and it is very satisfying to see the atoms moving around. 10+

Wow, three hours later and I'm only on level four. No, it's not that insanely difficult, but I have to perfect each level before moving on. Sure sign of a great game (or my own OCD...)

Also, this would make for an excellent DS/3DS game, just make about 50 ish in-game levels, add a level maker mode, be able to share said levels online, and keep the lowest cycle/symbol count stuff for the in-game levels. Full touch screen controls and BAM. Profit.

Great game, one of the best games i have played on kongregate, I had to use my brain more than on most games I have ever played before. After the first levels I was so frustrated I wanted to break my laptop because I didn`t understand what to do, but after a while I found out what I should do. But as I said before great game, but I think that in future games you should add a speed button, it was extremly boring to sitt and wait for the level to finish every time I solved one, so if you add that I think this game would be even better. hope you will make another one. 5/5

this game has a low rating, why you ask? its because its so goddamn advanced 50% of the people bothering to click on this game dont understand it

If, and only if you manage to reach the 13th level, you should check out the challenge edition. This is only a tutorial for that game.

For the people saying they don't get it: you're trying to make a number of copies of the element shown in the circle at the top (matching both the component materials and the orientation). Two catches: First, if you don't have the right components, you need to drop them into the glyphs that convert them into what you need. Look at the symbols on the glyphs to see what they accept and what they convert to. Note the two special case glyphs that don't convert: one connects two atoms (either of which can already be connected to another atom) and one creates a duplicate of an atom. Second, you can't move the atoms directly; you have to place mechanical arms that have a limited and specific range of movement, and program all their movements in beforehand. Click on an arm then "Programming" to assign the movements of that arm; you will need to carefully coordinate the arms and place rests in where necessary. Have your system create and orient the compound and drop it in the circle.

Going through the comments, I found an idea @masonforge originally put out: what if manipulators could grab other manipulators? That would be amazing because there would be so much more you could do. When he posted it the comment got buried under comments with peoples' solutions to levels, but I don't see as many people doing that nowadays so maybe the idea can get more recognition.

This is the best game I could ever play. It chalenges your brains and maked yourself wish you could rip your head off when your machine failes to make it after you worked hours on it. But, in the end, is extremely satisfying to watch your machine sucsesfully make a molecule 5 times. Game, you deserve 5 stars and some favorited love from me! ^.^

Its interesting to see a game that actually uses academical symbols, terms, and ideas. and not just using alchemy as a fun name for combining stuff.

This is realy wierd, I'm not used to smiling so much during a game! This is, as far as I'm concerned, one of the hidden gems of Kongregate and the internet as a whole.

Please consider adding a part 2. I would also love to see multiple puzzles that "Feed" into a larger puzzle that uses the higher elements so you have to time them correctly. Also a few badges would be great. Maybe total cycles under a certain number. Amazing soundtrack!

THIS is what I think of when I imagine a great puzzle game. You are given components and a goal, but no clear way to solve it. So often level design shows only one choice that the maker thought up, but this can have so many solutions. And finding a way that works is satisfying.
Only complaint is the amount of trial and error, but that is inherit in games like this. Simply an amazing game.

In my opinion, this game has a way lower rating than it deserves, it should at least be in the first page of puzzle games!

This soundtrack is *phenomenal* for a flash game. And this flash game embodies what I love about flash games. Only bad thing is that I can't rate higher than 5 stars. :D This thing should be featured more than it is on this site.
