Atleast this game has no difficulty setting, I don't know why, but something about knowing there's no easier mode pumps me up

Suggestion: The double click=special is a great idea. But it needs a disabler. I'm using Natalie, and the best way to use her main wep is to shoot a big fully charged bunch of waves, wait 0.5-1 second for it to be full again, and fire a fully charged one again.(significantly higher dps)But the game takes this as a double click. which activates my spec.Always.

In case anyone hasn't figured it out yet, the most powerful character in this game is Natalie. Both of her attacks are stronger than any other attack in the game. With Mat you can't manage even half that DPS.
Also, bosses need damage protection between patterns, right now, close-range nukers have it way too easy. A bullet clear after the boss goes down would be nice too.
p.s.
Can you please all stop relating to touhou every other post. Touhou is neither the first, nor the most notable game in the genre.

I normally like playing a game for a while before I rate it (sometimes even beat it).
From the very beginning I must say Kupo - you are awesome! You make truly epic RPG's in name and truth, and now have shown yourself to make an excellent 2d shooter. Keep it up and I cant wait to see what comes next (after I finally beat Epic Battle Fantasy 3 and this)

for slime forterss matt or no legs seem ideal since there attacks fan out and will hit pretty much everyone. probablly fastser with matt no legs is probablly more likley to tag them all though

If you think Lance is just... AWSOME! with his attacks + this comment also the surival mode confuses me but beats me Lance ftw sub attack :D

Here it is, all levels beat at rank S except for the 4th bonus level, in wich i can't do more than A... No cheats, no heart upgrades (Even if they don't really help for S ranks...)
Great game anyways, just sad that there's cheats although it's not that hard...

@alay the in survival, the number of bombs/lives starts maxed out, all the other upgrades are earned through the money you grab
in other words: the upgrades you buy just don't count on survival mode, you character becomes more powerful as you advance the waves

Did someone else notice that when you use Matt's sub weapon on The Origin Of Life/Oblivion it looks like something that can make children?

Was a pretty good game. Going to keep playing it though :p Got Survival and the Last bonus round + boss round to S rank then I'm all done.
Do you think you could add a difficulty modifier in any way? For example, Have Positive cheats which will raise your score. These could include Enemies fire Double bullets, Enemies have 33% more hp ect ect.

Finally. Only took me a dozen or two attempts on the final boss. The three-heart challenge medal is pretty challenging. Especially without any cheats. Turning off bullet glow and moving ground helps, as well as lowering the resolution on your screen (you don't need to see everything on boss fights, so lower it as low as you can). Also, I like Anna. She's got the best feeling, even if Matt can clear scores of enemies almost before they start shooting with his sub weapon.

Really great game! The only thing I don't like is being hit by bullets hidden 'behind' gems... An option which hides (or maybe even disables) gems would be really nice!

Beaten every level in S rank except 18 and 20 who are at A, and wich i'm going to try right away, and didn't finished yet the 4th bonus level. And i never upgraded my health, neither cheated.
For once that a game has a real difficulty, why dis he had to give away cheats ?

1) Use auto-fire or hold the mouse button for your main weapon. I suggest the X key for your secondary, rather than double-clicking. 2) Matt is generally the best character, mostly because his secondary attack is very strong, hits lots of enemies at once, extends out to the sides significantly, and uses so little energy that you can throw it 2-3 times each wave. Anna is also excellent: her secondary weapon is a spread attack that you can pretty much just turn on and forget about so that you can focus on dodging. And her bomb lasts long enough to let you avoid nearly an entire phase of a boss. No-legs and Natz have crap secondaries, and Lance is just middling.

Unlocking chars is simple - finish levels with A or S rating (to do this you have to kill about 90% of monsters and die no more than 5 times for A and 2 times for S).

Anna is good against bosses - during last levels I am too concentrated on dodging helluva of bullets to remember about using sub. Fire and forget mechanic is really useful here (with sub her damage output is better than other's without it). If only her bomb was better...
If you don't have trouble with using sub, than take Lance - the best sub and bomb in the game.
