Oh, btw, when Akron charges that giant black ball of death, DEFEND IMMEDIATELY, Kyun if it's up. If at low HP, make Lance use a pizza unless Kyun is up, in which case use that, always.

My strategy for Epic Mode: Matt(Main DPSer: Berserk Helm, Soul Eater, Genji Armor. This combination allows Matt to do massive damage. Who needs control when you deal 3X as much damage and take 1/2? Natalie(main Healer and Buffer): Equip Dark Tooth, Whitemage's Dress, and Pope Hat. Whitemage's Dress casts regen, Pope's Hat has good stats, Darktooth increases healing output. Lance(Main mobber and Teradrill): Equip Soldier Helmet and armor, plus shadow Blaster. Soldier Helmet casts Medpack, Armor casts Airstrike, Shadow Blaster increases Magic Attack for better mobbing abilities. The strategy is to use Kyun and Bullet Hell/Plasmacross as much as you can. Matt dishes some serious damage when Zerked (30K+ at level 30), Lance's Drill also does 30K+ on a buffed Akron. Natalie should mostly be using Purify and Healmore, sometimes Dispel when needed. When someone dies, after reviving let Lance use Guardian to get the buffs back up. Hope this helped!

Alternate Strategy for Akron (Epic mode): Get 100 or 90% dark resist on all players and try having some instant death resist (rune blade lv5 for Matt is a must). Always have Matt with autolife and the party with almost max health and regen (that way you're invincible). Use skills which targets all foes and never attack a single target if not the boss itself. When he rises from earth, he attacks almost only with dark spells. Keep autolife and heal while attacking, he should die without a problem unless you are really unlucky (like having 2 monolith healing the boss when he is resistant to darkness. Consider syphoning the monolith with unleash and the rune blade until Akron changes element, or kill them if you feel you can). Last thing: debuff the boss if he has magic attack buffed.
note: I used 3 pizzas and around 10 coffee to kill him on epic mode. He wasn't that hard.

@Mucupurelent that's where Lance comes in. On Epic mode, the extra monsters may mean the difference between winning or losing. Lance can use skills like Bullet Hell or Airstrike to clear out extra monsters. Berserked Matt with Soul Eater is good for this too, he will do 30K damage per hit on Akron at level 30, up to 40K on Holy Akron and his summons. Plus, since Matt has naturally high health and defense, and Berserk halves the damage he takes, the defense debuffs of Soul Eater won't be a problem.

Fleeing the last battle cans ave you a lot of time. I found it better to never ever attack his summons (the 2 claws, and the 2 worms), because if he shifts to dark and summons those space monolith you are in for a very long fight, the monolith healing everyone with their area-beam.
100%+ death/doom/dark resist, or at least death makes this fight much more manageable, no matter his element.

I've seen that a lot of people have asked this, but I'm still not getting it. How do you get the remaining 2, locked-away orbs in the ruins? I think I've tried every combo of just the first 2 on the pillars. Or is there a hidden route to each of them that doesn't involve going through the gates? Any help would be really appreciated :)

Continued: Strategy: Just remember to have Natalie revive and purify, also use lots of pizzas and Coffee, Lance use Guardian when someone is revived, keep allies buffed for the whole round basically. When Akron charges the black sphere, use defend, unless Natalie has Kyun, in which case only Lance should defend. If Regen does not reactivate before it wears off, use Healmore to heal the party until it gets back up. This straegy should get you past Akron quite easily.

Tip for Legend achievement: Equip Matt with: Soul Eater, Berserk Helm, Genji Armor. I am suggesting all-out offense+berserk helm with Matt because the Berserk defense buffs more than make up for the defense loss of Soul Eater. Also, Matt has huge HP. Equip Natalie with: Whitemage's dress, Dark Tooth, Pope's Cap. Magic Attack increases heal power, Whitemage's dress has chance of casting Regen. Pope's Cap makes up for -Magic def on Tooth. Equip Lance with: Soldier's Helmet, Soldier's Armor, Dark Blaster. Lance is mainly important for Bullet Hell, as Natalie is a potion and usually won't have time to cast strong damage spells. Helm and Armor cast Airstrike and Medic packs.

I hate to complain, but would this please get finished? I have been going through the game on epic and am finding the last boss impossible because he heals too much. I came to check here but the final boss page is incomplete.... I guess it the boss will have to wait.
