For Thoses who are angry about the KRAKEN : i've upgrade only the cannon (main one) to 5 / turtleshield to 4 / armor to 5 and firing speed 5 ... and i did it ... just take your time (slowest speed) and shoot the corner's thingy and for the second part turn around near the grey bubble (that means the range of him griding life attack) and shoot just don't care the damages ! ... BOOM kraken down :)

Pretty neat game. I like how there is some strategy involved when engaging with other ships. However, after a while, the grind starts to take its toll. Definitely not recommended for one sitting or you'll get bored too soon. 4/5

It's a pretty good game. Not sure if this was planned, but perfect game for today (September 19th) since it's Talk Like a Pirate Day.

I started a Defend mission and died, then stayed on the death screen while watching the other pirate repair, and subsequently obtained the reward for defending him. Huh???

strange how our ship has a set cargo limit... but our magic loot box that is presumably on our ship as well has an unlimited capacity but eats all the items inside after midnight... like a Mimic version of a gremlin

There's a ton of grinding, maybe if we could have "ally ships" that respawned afterdeath like us an a range upgrade? How about when a navy and a pirate war fighting me their cannons hurt eachother?

A pretty amazing game, but don't try playing using only your laptop and track pad.... not the best of set ups.... hahaha

It's a great game and it makes a good pirate captain sandbox.
But I don't get it why the navy and the pirates are teaming up on me.Maybe because I'm so good at being a pirate (not really)

Oh yes, and make sure you take advantage of the "Like" bonuses. You don't have to actually like or follow anything to get the credit, and the bonus for all 4 is $1600 ($400/each).

I really liked this game. I chose to max out everything before taking on the boss and it did not feel like grinding to me at all. As a bonus, I was easily able to defeat the boss on the first try. I also took a hint from +bugoji, which I'm sure helped. I think the key to quick upgrading is directly related to which upgrade options you choose. I tend to upgrade income generation first and the inventory to keep up with it, and then armor/weapons as need arises. Another useful technique for wealth gain is sorting your inventory and keeping the most expensive items. Also, make maximum use of your inventory. If you have space for another item, keep it no matter what it's value. Any money is better than no money! In the beginning of the game I tend to sell all my goods, even if they don't receive full value, just to get cash on hand. Once money starts to roll in I'll hang on to things to wait for their value to rise. Hope someone finds this helpful!

Captain: "Were done for today men, blow up the ship"
Pirate 1: "But sir! We're still on the ship!"
Captain: "I shoot you guys out of cannons to drown or blow up a ship, why are you complaining?"

Seems fine until you get to the boss. Of course it's such a grind to upgrade enough to be able to kill the boss that it's not remotely fun.

More variation as the game goes on... my suggestion would be to make the eye missions more common, but make players lose a piece each time they sink.
