Great game, though I'm a bit disappointed in the last boss. would have been nice had it been something other than just another bullet spitter.

Many an hour spent enjoying Pireteer, thanks!
Positives:
-1-Quite a fun concept, very enjoyable format.
-2-Well considered controls, offering flexability.
-3-Quite a speedy game play without too much stress or complexity.
-4-Fun graphics.
-5-Well priced upgrades.
Negatives:
-1-Once beating the game, created a new game as I wanted to use the new boat. The restart simply reset the game, no new boat :-(.
-2-No full screen available.
-3-A little laboursome after a few hours.
-4-Pirate map is a bit hit and miss.
-5-I would enjoy a speedier menu, a minor gripe.

Temistocles, the greek used largely the Ramming strategy with powered up ships against the Persians (remember 300 the movie? Temistocles was fightning the same war at the same time, but at the sea), So ramming was not always used as a last resort, specially not in this famous battle that definitely saved the greeks from total anihilation

So, I apparently sailed to the end of the world, but all that happens is I hit this superforce invisible wall and all ships can sail no further. I also activated the Neptune's Eye and the whirlpool ended up somewhere off the known ocean and I could not reach it. Strange...

Ramming is *WAY* too effective. Historically, ramming was a last resort. In this game, it does nothing except weight against the player even more.

Questing is the pirates way to earn money? I always thought it was pillaging and looting, and maybe going to far off islands in the shape of skulls...

Great game. Would be even better if the navy and other pirates fought each other.I noticed a lot are having problems with the boss. Here's some simple steps to help you succeed with ease: 1. Lower your sailing speed to avoid walls. Do NOT try to avoid shots (requires high armor and tortoise shield). 2. Kill the corners to unlock the center piece. This feat is can be done (requires Galley, ramming or revenge help as well). Just lower speed to 0 at this point until the it dies, and go to the next (ram your way). 3. Kill center using fireballs- it takes most damage from these. Just circle around it, do NOT enter the inner circle, as it damages you rapidly. You can take hits freely as long as you keep hitting him. Thumbs up to keep alive.

Guess the fire really does kill that wanker fast. Thank you bugoji's top comment. Had to max the level but the game was really easy to max once you get armor high enough to survive the day and just treasure hunt a til you can max the treasure thing.

Game play's simple. Select a quest with zxcv and do it. Fun game. Although seems like the enemy ships are growing faster than I am.

Two things: Sometimes enemy ships change type when first hitting them, e.g. from standard vessel to one with a lot of cannons. And I'm getting close to a 50% chance of not having the golden treasure in the treasure selection after digging it up in treasure hunt. The latter problem is really annoying. I still get "quest completed" though.
