Plays more like a game of luck for me. Quite annoying when the gear is ~one pixel away from the other one and it still won't work.

and the gears is just a fun and hard way to do the game the message is that windpower is key to energy and not coal i mean i guess it could be the water moving the gears or the geothermal from the volcanos but thats geting too indepth its suposed to be just a game

coal ruins the lives of the people that have to live by mountain top removal work sites by the coal dust from the explosians that get into the air travels all around and the coal and uranium and other metals that get into there streams jeez do your reserch

The gears are turned by coal power plants down on the ground, which run on cheap child labor. Most of the energy goes into turning the gear, which keep the island floating in the air through sheer torque power.

coal is way more expensive than windmills if you think about it coal destroys lifes and families and homes and habitats the enviornment mountains forests rivers everything that lives in the rivers the oceans everything that lives in the ocean and what does windmills destroy nothing somply put of coars wind power is obviously beter

Actually this is one way a windmill could be used, this time, the windmill is a wind generator that powers the wind turbines.

I literally used the phrase "reinvente the wheel" on another game. This one, not as much. [So, groan 1]. Now I'm on level 5, and without pun aforethought, my mind wandered to "yeah, I'm not really a fan." [Groan 2]. Well executed game, but I'm gonna quit while I'm ahead. 2/5

Is there any way we could buy the song in the background? I'd definitely pay a buck for it. It's incredibly relaxing.

Yeah, I have to agree with a lot of people: it's pretty tricky to tell if a gear is too small or just right. It's a great simple game, just needs some more... substance. 3/5

While this game was certainly interesting, the difficulty curve was all over the place, with some of the later levels being very easy compared to their early counterparts. Not to mention how often a gear would look like it fit perfectly only to plop back into your inventory. All things considered though, the game was not bad.

Should we be concerned that the town is floating and we just put gears within the earth that may dig through the dirt...?

More creative then most "connect gears" games I have played, but not as well polished. As others have mentioned, I was never quite sure if the gears I was placing would connect or not.

I don't know...it's nice, but...it just feels empty to me. Collision detection on some of the gears was a bit questionable, too. Having axles in the dark wink out of existance when the light went out rather than just being axles in the dark was just a touch unintuitive, too. Missed an opportunity for puzzles that involved hooking up the light, then setting up the shadowed axles before taking away the light's gears to use elsewhere. Oh well.

I think that part of the preface of the game should explain that a rushing underground river was discovered, and that is being used to turn a gear which is to be used to turn the windmill which is used to power the town... (instead of just directly powering the town itself...) Solar alternative much?

this sounds exactly the same as the foo fighters song "Wheels"......copyright?? lol

Would be better if you didn't have to move the dots / holes in order to complete a set - it requires too precise of a placement that it just becomes a nuisance moving those dang dots!

Good game, but it would be so nice if the gears actually meshed instead of just turned because they were kind of near each other.
