Actually, we're not fixing windmills, but building giant fans to create wind for other uses. Just behind the camera is a major seaport, which depends on the wind for sailing.

Who needs wind power when you have a magical wheel underground that seems not to be affected by friction or needs a power source to run...

(days after all the windmills are fixed) kid-momy why is the windmills stoping.
mom-huh what oh no not again.
worker in the ground-ahh i see the problem theres gold, lava, water and a hole lot more crap dow there.
mom-how do you know
(zooms out and the worker is missing his legs)
worker-i just know.

Is this game a subtle message from big oil that wind power is unreliable and we should rely on 'underground' energy ?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Hmm. Maybe it's less that the villagers need wind power, and more that they need wind blowing -- in which case a backwards power-to-wind converter would make sense. Maybe. Somehow.

Easy but not too easy, nice music that surprisingly doesn't get boring, nice graphics, overall a pretty fun and relaxing game, accent on the GAME. It's probably not supposed to have a deep meaning. For all I care, the gears run purely on Adobe Flash.

This is great for science class in bible belt, god makes the gears move that's how windmills work.
Teach the controversial.

Im wondering why people are looking for more logic explanations for a game based on the premise that WIND IS GONE?????
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I'd prefer if you put the size of the gear (for those in the toolbox) instead of the quantity in the center of the gear. quantity can be represented by a small white number at the bottom right of the gear.

Did NO ONE ever consider that the big flaw in logic perhaps is INTENTIONAL? Geez.
It's done all the time. It doesn't work like that, but it's a game. Just enjoy the fun and quirk of it.
who the heck CARES?

This would make a lot more sense if the gears were powering a generator.... or if the windmill itself was powering the last gear(Though that doesn't fit out of wind.) It just doesn't make sense. As a puzzle game goes, it's fine, but the story concept blows.

It would [almost] make sense if the point was to create wind using the windmills, but that's still not going to work...

No, don't you see that the gears are powered by the perpetually spinning bananas from Donkey Kong Country? They have harnesed the greatest power on the planet!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
... How the heck do they power the under-engines? Cause if you ask me, the wind turbines should be powering the engine things ... good game tho

Jesus people get over it! Everything was perfect so why would they spend resources to build something different to the gears... and its a floating island village... so if you can accept that why cant you accept that the gears spin for no reason?
