Don't you just like it when you just barely entered a room and out of no where mobs forced you to fight them (not bosses, or aggressive enemies though but an out of nowhere "you have to fight me because you accidentally ran into me because i say so" type of thing)oh well '-'

Wait. I'm a little confused now. Tristam and Reuben aged a LOT between games, but Pheobe doesn't seem to have aged at all?

Protip: Chests spawn randomly when entering a room. If you clear two rooms of monsters, you can hop between them indefinitely and spawn more and more chests (each without a single guardian).

If you ever make a Crystal Story 3 please use graphics better or like crystal story 2 but use this one's mechanics!!! Even the pet system here is way cooler...

I think the first one is better because you lose gold in the 2nd when you die
And I think the second one is funny because Tristam is old and is stupid.
lol XD

Pretty good game. I started out making Tristam a warrior, Kaeli a rogue, Phoebe a healer and Reuben a mage, but ended up respeccing Tristam to a mage instead for AoE.
At level 10 everyone except Phoebe will get their AoE's and from there on you can just AoE down the mobs you encounter. I ended up just running past a lot of mobs to get to the end, and as a result I fought the boss at just level 15. I stocked up on Ether, Potions and Revives and pulled it off by using Kaeli's sleep skills and the mages' slow skill on the boss, and at the same time buffing my party with Kaeli's haste, Phoebe's Harden and the mages' Magic Up. Then I just nuked the boss with the mages' skills, since magic doesn't seem to break sleep. Took me a while though :)
Also you can equip the Exp Ring on one character and have them upgrade the items (except for weapons) for the other characters, since that character will be higher level than the others. I didn't bother though.

Im not gambling for as much money ;P Imagine such a thing in real life, Im sure nobody would have gone for it just for that expensive. Besides, if such a girl was always fooling people this way in real life, she would have probably got murdered this or another day

this game reminds me of tales of symphonia since there are 4 characters and because of that it just makes me want to play the game more. it is a great game and i hope to complete it.

2 things: 1; why do attacks deal status even on a miss and 2; why are there monsters at the edge of a room so you can't avoid battles with monsters you can't deal with

With this game, I really do feel like I'm playing at a console. Awesome.
5/5 bro! And the Missing Cat quest where Reuben tries to speak French is hilarious.

Wind Shear is perhaps the most broken attack in the game, notably used by wolves. Try to silence them before they use it.

@Daikoru It`s true, because random dungeons gives you enemies that have the same level as your party. In this case often they`re more difficult that standard enemies, because you might have higher level than level of evil cave, which you`re exploring.

I really enjoyed this game. Played it after the 2nd, so obviously it felt inferior but I still had to give it a 5/5. A nice homage to old school JRPG's, and the dialogue is actually pretty funny if you read it. If you're looking to complete the game, I wouldn't worry too much about being underleveled, most of your growth comes from items and you end up finding most of them at a higher level than yourself if you press on. I'd put the exp ring on at least one person, so u can give the items to them to upgrade (aside from weapons of course).

I never beat the first game, (I played it like 6 months ago) so when I saw the second came out, I knew what must be done.

Not too bad! Reminds of the old Final Fantasy games when they were first on the NES and SNES. And lots of gold too! Great upgrade system for your arms and armor too! Don't like the armor of weapons you have/ Don't sell em', upgrade em'! Great game, "Ian14n". :-)

This game looks really nice and was enjoyable to play. To be perfectly honest, I find the sequel to be much more fun, but that doesn't make this one bad. You clearly put hours upon hours of effort into both of 'em, and I'm thankful to play such fun games.
