nice game, love the design and how it's made, but one suggestion: when a character fully upgrades all 3 of their skill trees, they gain an ultimate skill, it'll be lethal, but won't kill a boss to easily, so make sure it's a regular enemy before using the ultimate skill...

@dead groom, look up "enchanted cave" on kongregate. That game is EXACTLY like the ancient cave from Lufia 2. Great game here too!

I just love how my char with 70+ speed, more then all 3 other chars combined acts DEAD LAST even after all 3 monsters... not always, but even occasionally there must be something wrong with the opening attack order.

Protip: If you want an item of your choice from the slime, before feeding it any sort of high quality (those are the only ones that will give you orange-level items / seed potions) food, save your game. If the item you received isn't to your liking (due to class incompatibility, already obtained etc) just refresh the page and give it another go. Arranging it in different orders of how you feed the slime can result in drastically different options, or maybe each time the item is different!

I am in love with this game. Kind of unlucky though that you put yours out in the same week/month as the new last stand game =[. I want you guys to win so bad so that you can keep on making great games like this.

nice game, simple gameplay with addictiveness. spent a few days playing it already :) but if you ever think of making a sequel, you will have to spend a lot more time on developing ai :) i congragulate you and wish you luck on your following endeavours (i've been waiting so long to use this word in a sentence :p)

This Game -> awesome .But + action,pet,also make the weapon visible in battle for more coolness ( more epic drawing of course )+ attack turn + find some dude to help you with stuff -> this game is epic (Ps. my grammar suck , so sorry)

This is pretty good work. Not bad on the difficulty, and a decently humorous storyline too. I have a few minor gripes, but nothing that would keep me from playing the game:
1. Buffs/debuffs do not work on most (all?) bosses, and aren't really necessary unless you've been putting off upgrading your equipment for a long time, in which case you likely wouldn't have the MP to keep yourself buffed/your enemies debuffed.
1b. Buffs only last a few turns, so I have to continually recast buffs, which is especially troublesome when you need to focus attention on the boss.
2. There are several examples of blue (purple?) equipment that are just plain better than red equipment of the same level and rarity. There doesn't seem to be much use in all that variety if there are some equips that are clearly better than others.
Otherwise, this is a good game! I'd say 4/5.

Rated at 4 stars. Would have been 5 stars if the game store had given numerical information about just how much equipment raised or lowered stats and if the zombie missions either gave better rewards or weren't so difficult. + if you agree with any of this.

Too easy. Most names copied and pasted from other games. Most consumables pointless. Scatter shot + blizzard kills most trash instantly. Random dungeon generator only works when the game is actually hard and loot doesn't drop like candy out of a pinata. Whats the point of random dungeon if the game is so easy you only want to play through it one time. Next time, decrease the drop rate of epic gear and tune everything so that its actually a challenge if you dont find a piece. Make different difficulty settings. Make a hardcore mode where death is permanent. What good is feeding this slime if gear drops all over the place anyways and I'm 1 shotting trash packs. What good is playing this puzzle game when already overpowered from random drops. Take 1 minute of time and think up your own character names before stealing them from Squaresoft or even leave them nameless/named by the player. Excellent music.

Ok: FINALLY beat expert mode zombie defense, the reward item is a max-quality ninja ring (evade/speed). Considering that evade does essentially nothing past about level 5 no matter how high you boost it and speed is mostly randomized each fight this item is NOT worth it, not even close...wtf...

WOw this game is great, one of the best RPS's I have ever played, for sure the best flash RPG ever. only thing that needs work (Kongregate) is a few badges. 5/5

This is definitely a fantastic game, I've never really seen anyone put together a flash game RPG with such a great atmosphere, likable characters (Despite lack of their speaking) through just how they move or act. It's enjoyable and I have found myself really wanting to play it when I'm not, which is hard for a flash game to do. You certainty have a grasp of what looks good art wise, I mean, I opened up the main menu and actually said "Oh wow." Now, off of the mushy stuff and to the actual suggestion :D The one thing that really put me off was it all seems rather childish (The storyline I mean) well, and the monsters to an extent. This may just be your style and I understand that but I think it would be fantastic to try to go for an in depth storyline with more sinister twists and turns. I really think you are worthy of putting out something like that ^^ Keep on Keepin' on, you're doing great!

The only thing I think that this game needs is the ability to change the order on the skill list and to save the page you are on when you are selling stuff to the store (had like 6 pages of weapons, 5 minutes to sell them all is not fun.

What i do in zombie d expert is try to get matches as fast as I can on the bottom half of the grid hoping to get lucky with the chains. I think my win rate is like 10-15%, not as often as like but definitly possible and i dont think I'm that good either

I never can remember if I left at save one or three the other night, when there had no level up for some time.

Actually after doing a bit more checking, all of those attacks I mentioned (except cyclone, which is definitely attack) seem to not be based on either of your attack or magic stats in terms of damage. I don't know what the damage is based on - maybe level?

Why can my players only wield 1 type of weapon?? I have 1 healer that uses only pikes, but he can't wear the healing hammer.

I went ahead and tested crit - I took my level 60 characters, geared them for crit (crit over 200) and went back to the first floor. Regular attacks still never crit. The attacks that I mentioned earlier - unstable explosion, rocket launcher, silence attack, tranq shot, burst, poison attack, cyclone, poison nova, and darkness attack - again, these were the only attacks that crit (they did so pretty much 100% of the time). They have a few commonalities - they're all physical based. All of them except cyclone inflict a status effect. Maybe you have crit flagged as a status effect and only attacks with the qualities 'physical' and 'status possible' will crit? That doesn't explain cyclone though, unless you originally had it causing status and removed it while leaving the flag, so I don't know. I don't actually think this is a problem, I don't want to see omnislash or quake critting when they already deal thousands of damage.
The game is using the newgrounds api for medals. I have setup the statistics api for kongregate, so its up to the admins if they want to give this game achievements, i think. I'm not sure how this works. This is only my second game.

One question....I was exiting expert mode on zombie defense very often the second I would fail. After a little while every place I went other than the main screen would exit out after a few seconds, preventing me from saving. I don't know if this bug is possible to fix, but I lost a lot of progress due to this. Thanks for the awesome game though!

Here's another suggestion that maybe can be added in a future sequel or version. I'd like for the dungeons to have more of a maze, dungeon feel. And less of a grid. It feels more like a grid , as most rooms have 4 exits. I'd like to see more of a tunnel type exploration. Such as having small co-corridors and sometimes having large rooms. Perhaps adding secret passages. Think Wizardry series or even something like the old ROGUE style dungeons . So much potential to this game and future updates. Keep up the great work!
