Why are giant mutant eyeball spiders who feed on pollution called 'zombies'? Even the characters aren't sure 'where they came from or what they are' or whether or not they 'fused with raiders' (assimilated them like 'the thing') or infected the raiders.... Wouldn't it make more sense to just call the things 'mutants' or something?

You know, I find it vaguely amusing that the FIRST thing one ABSOLUTELY NEEDS to do when starting a challenge, is switch your coal plant OFF.

make it so that not JUST naturalness reduces smog cause I make more smog then EVER and I cant clean it out without disabling buildings.

BETTER THAN raze 3! my god thank you developers for this game. Though i am not able to donate any money, please accept my over flowing thanks.

@Moxpress: Geothermal hot-spots look like craters that have red centers, and you can only build gas & oil wells on purple swirly things.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
What are geothermal hot spots? What do they look like? I can never build Geothermical power plant. Oh also where do you put the Oil & Gas Mill?

Man I'm bored. I'm stuck here watching my two garbage trucks go from the fortress to the landfill. No zombies are coming. Seriously, I have no idea what to do.

I died on the last round and it keeps on turning black like it does inbetween losing and restarting, but it shopws my base again than turns black and repeats. anyhelp

now this is how you tell people to be responsible for their waste. Don't forget to take out the trash, otherwise their will be a zombie apocalypse.

i am the only one who is like, WHAT!!! nuclear power plant produce less than oil and gas how can this possible when it is the best technology we have to produce the most energy
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
What can I possibly do if all my power plants get destroyed since they all cost energy to build? There's no possible way to start energy production back up. This is a pretty big oversight on the parts of the developers.

So, finally, someone took that topic "recycling", put a bit of morale into it and (and that's the most difficult thing to do) made all that into a game that's really fun and challenging... 6/5 Stars, I look differently at the garbage men now. They save the world everyday. ;-)

Creative day three. Everything is over 999 including the smog. Seconds feel like hours, hours feel like days. There's nothing outside but the smell of fried 20 foot tall alien eyeballs, and I have no clue what is left in the stores. If only we had learned to count past 999. My world is now purple smog and tesla coil explosions, yet I feel perfectly safe surrounded by hundreds of nuclear plants. Send sriracha, All we have to eat is eyeball and corn. k bye.

Hmm. I was thriving nicely in a green environment with ethanol, low smog levels, and lots of organic farming then all of my energy went to zero and can't be replenished. No idea what to do. On the plus side, with everything dead, there's now no smog at all.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The makers of this game were pretty ham fisted with the environmental message. You are supposed to research all the clean technologies and switch to ethanol or electric power and leave those nasty coal and nuclear wastes behind. Then the game becomes too easy. Yeah, well you know what developers? Screw. You. I just finished playing with coal power pumping out smog and an army of garbage trucks turning the air purple. My engineers carry nuclear waste nonstop due to all the plants I have. Now the game tries to punish me yes, but with a little strategy it was too easy to get around that. I. Win.

I thought of a new use for smog: Smog plant. turns 10 smog into 10 energy. usable in sandbox. just to have the smog be into good use.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Just so that everyone knows: SMOG IS NOT CO2. No amount of plants can clean up smog. In fact, smoggy air can collect over plants. Smog is a combination of SMoke and fOG, hence, the term SMOG.

Well I got a positive score on Challenge 5 after plenty of tries in total. The key are upgraded nuclear plants and flamethrowers. The strategy I used in short: Start - 1 Nuclear plant, 1 Nuclear waste, 1 Factory, 1 Oil Plant. Then demolish the Coal Plant to start reducing smog (don't do it straight after mission starts, you will need dat extra energy that will accumulate at the first seconds). Make sure demolished trash is delivered into a Recycling Center, so you can have more resources. At Day 1 you should also build a Lab to upgrade the Nuclear Plant and a second Nuclear Plant as well as some defences (2-3 Flamethrowers near your base). Keep building flamethrowers in the middle of the assault and make sure you def your waste pit and powerplants, energy is crucial as well as keeping your Oil Plant alive starting from Day 2, so that it stores Oil / Gas and powers the flamethrowers. By this time smog should be pretty low, so build your defenses and something to increase the score.

You need a positive score to complete the challenge? Just completing is not enough, how come? All I did is defending my darn base in any way I could on that Challenge 5 and I even got the "Congratulations" from the blue zombie but yet no badge?
