My god, this game is emotional and had me reflecting on my actions and choices afterwards.

there is a lot of bugs i found,but 1 of them is when 2 days till eart KABOOM i took molly to the park,i went left, adn then every thing is white!!!i coudn't do anything :(

i think thats the point of the game; that there is no restart because you never get a do over in real life. This game is trying to prove that we can't restart things in real life like in video games.

I took Molly to the park, now I'm stuck on this white screen with a fabric background. If I just stand there, nothing happens. I can walk off the screen in either direction, but the screen doesn't change at all.

This is...a pretty eerie game. There's no "happy" ending. The best you get is your wife killing herself, and you taking your daughter to the lab and finally finding the cure...only to be able to save yourself, and your daughter. That's not the ending I got on this computer, and I ended up dying in the lab on the final day after my family was murdered.
And no matter how many times you refresh, you're always greeted by your dead avatar.

the fact is that you truly have one chance, one chance to do something and one chance to play the game. To replay it, i know how to do it in Google Chrome. Go to Options -> Advanced -> Clear Navegation Dates of the Last Hour --- There you have it, replay

Interesting concept, writing is decent, but the game is too glitchy to be taken seriously. There are essentially 2 events which decide what ending you get: Madman killing your family or your wife killing herself. If neither of these events is triggered the game glitches.
This is really frustrating and just plain sloppy since many events in the game circumvent these events anyway. If you cheat on your wife she leaves you, but the madman will still kill her even though she already left the house before that. If your daughter dies she will still appear on your back initially when the sprite loads in the park on the last day. And as was the case with me I spent enough time with my wife so she didn't kill herself and worked enough that the madman didn't rage-kill my family so the game just left me hanging with no way to trigger the next day unless my family was dead or the madman killed them.

If you want to have second change just press mouse 2, go to settings, then press that button with green arrow in it, and put that ''how much information can this game store on your computer'' and put it to none.
Then just refresh the page and enjoy. :)

This game has a very interesting concept, like seriously, who's done this before? With what it says you feel hopeful that you can still win, and when you get to the last day, you had one chance, you lose all hope, and then you realize, you can't play the game again. You had one chance. And you blew it.

1) Do not follow the advice of lowering your storage to 0 KB. This will delete ALL your game saves from all Kongregate games, not just this one. Instead, find this folder and delete the sol file from %APPDATA%\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects\XXXXXXXX\chat.kongregate.com\gamez\0009\7890\live\One_Chance_kong.swf
2) The game is bugged and unwinnable right now, and has multiple points where you can't advance. Go to Newgrounds until the author fixes it. It seems to work there.

This is the first game that has hit me with the emotional consequences of my actions so effectively. I worked dutifully, trying to find a cure for the disease I inadvertently created. When I found my wife in the bathtub, I started forming tears of regret, but I soldiered on. When the caption at the start of the day read "You had one chance.", they came like a flood. It was all for nothing. I killed the entire world.

guys, at the ending with him alive next to his daughter, his daughter isnt dead, u would notice her color is back to normal, meaning that its actually a good ending

never go to the right of the park with your daughter... for me what it did was gave me a whole white screen. i could walk for miles each way. + if you got this glitch

I think I found a glitch. I did the following actions: Work-roof-work-work-park... but when I walk through the park (with Molly on John's back) and go to the other side, the background just turns into a blank canvas and when I walk off the screen nothing happens and the sprite doesn't despawn. I've tried it twice and it happened both times, which sucks because I would really like to see the ending of my initial decisions.

This game makes me think so hard...If i knew the world was ending i don't know what i would do. I would like to spend it with my family, BUT if i had caused it i would feel obligated to fix it. Then if my wife killed herself i don't know how i could be able to be so calm around my child...If that were the case i would spend the last few days with my daughter giving her the best life she could have, and when the inevitable happened and i was alive... i just don't know! It is such a touching game i can't describe it in words! i give you my highest regards and thanks for such a wonderful game and a knew look on life!
