I love it, a great art based game, and I think that it's really creative, this may have been meaningful to the creator, but it's not up to us to judge such things. Enjoy the game, or don't enjoy it, either way the creativeness of it is good. Using colour for the flashbacks is pretty awesome, and that last decision at the end. ;~; So sad. :( Yeah this probably could have been better as a movie, or slightly more interactive, but I don't care, I enjoyed it, and that's all that matters to me . :3

I do like this, it was good stuff. Unfortunately, where the "story" is interesting it also disappoints me. What I liked about One Chance was that the player actions felt meaningful. If One Chance was only holding right and pressing space to work for 6 days straight, it would not have been good. I think that the best "art games" make the player part of the story, rather than dictating their actions to them, even if the result doesn't change much (like the game Immortall). This game would have been better to simply watch and not interact with at all, which shows how much this isn't a "game" exactly. I hope this doesn't spoil too much, but I love how the ending allows the player to "choose" how the man reacted to the events. The ending was tragic either way, but when I saw the choices I instantly thought "Oh no... I don't wanna do that... or that... but I kinda have to."

short, sweet, and very simple laid-out plot. reminds me of the dishwasher, with pixels and less blood. WAY less blood.

if you go left and pass a tree you lose your sack and there is a woman following you then when you pass the next tree she is gone and the sack is back

What I dislike about art games is no matter HOW stupid they are they always say "Good story" or something like that. Some art games are meaningful, but is predictable crap with a bad story.

With respect to people making comments, why is this a great story? I played it hoping something would actually happen, instead it was predictable, dull and hard to focus on.

5/5 - wish there were more games like this ok Kong - rather have a great story with ok gameplay - ashame this game is gonna get low ratings - play Simpson Bike, maybe then you would appreciate this game more....

Oh cool, so I can murder my wife and a stranger who spots me trying to bury her body.
The if I commit suicide, I will still end up in heaven where I can meet my wife again. Nice :)

upon seeing the name of the game i thought it was gunna be something about human anatomy in some way upon seeing a large black bag draped over his shoulder i realized otherwise

Not really a whole lot going on here....very odd. But I mistakenly found 2 (3?) implied endings: 1) As soon as you walk in the cabin and walk right back out the game ends (surrender) 2) You can come out with the gun (blaze o' glory) 3) You can commit suicide.

I'm not sure I see the message or emotional profundity in this game. A guy kills some people with a shovel and then commits suicide? Maybe I misunderstood.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
An attempt at a profound message. But there was no message, just a story. An alright story, but no more than that, and no less.

I think the preference for making this a game and not a movie is that this way you get: a) the "first person" perspective, since you're the one doing the action, and not just watching it happen; b) the chance to listen to the whole song while you play (that's also one of the reasons why I think the character moves slowly, there is both the chance of getting more involved with the art (because you have more time to absorb it), and the "numbness" feeling that you get when you're deeply depressed... It's like your perception of time has completely changed, making hours seems like days of loneliness and sorrow).

usually i like this types of .games. but this is just too weird, i cant even understand the story
and this .games. really needs to have at least one more end. (or more gameplay..)

for a game its not much but, for art its very intuitive. also that's a lot darker then what the title lets on but good job.

Touching. Simple, yet complex. This is hard to describe. I would have much rather seen this is a flash movie than a game, but it was still a very well done piece of art.

There seem to be lots of people who are looking for simple, entertaining games and instantly give one star to any "game" that tries to be something else. That's why kongregate should have own section for interactive art. + if you agree.

Would've been better as a movie, as the "gameplay" almost entirely consisted of holding down the left arrow key. Still, very emotional and clearly very meaningful to the creator.

I liked it... the rest of you can suck it, but I thought it was a nice piece of work. This guy showed more emotion and story telling skill then most of the games I've played here! I thought it was well done, but then again I almost rated it one star and left after it loaded... hardly a game, but truly an awesome example of what he can do if you ask me!

So wait? Do you have to accept the blue wizard's quest or can you get to the shack with the shotgun without going through the goblin village with all the zombies in it?
