I had a bad feeling this was going to ask me for money and after reading some of the comments can see I was right. Now I won't even bother to play it, mostly because I refuse to indulge in things that claim to be free but really aren't.

I'd buy the game for ~ 4 € (I'm from Germany), but I don't own a credit card. I own a PayPal Account which prompts me to enter my credit card information. So no credit card, no game for me. Would be great if you could fix that, it seems to be a great game from what I've seen from the demo and I've no problem to give you the money for it, but I can't :( Would be great if you could make the game accessable for people like me.

@Dev. BTW. I sort of understand why berserkers are men (though female berserkers are not unseen in RPGs), there may be reason to make all healers men (order policy or some such) but why are all nomads (archers) women? Don't tell me your artists were too lazy to draw two sets of sprites for each class. :D

@Kenji 03. The problem was that the dev didn't clearly say that it's a demo in either description or in the title when it was uploaded. The average rating was 3.40. Now he mentioned it in both description and title and the rating got up a bit but not enough to make up for the first mistake. Great game, really. I would buy it if not my policy to never pay for closed-source software.

I don't even like tower defense games, but decided to give it a shot anyway. Definitely one of the best I've seen, including the best elements from tower defense games and RPGs and excluding the worst.

It's a good game, and it's worth the money. Seriously, ads and tips are just one way for paying, to buy a game is a other. I think there is nothing wrong with it =).

@ Dev - Ignore the /entitlement issue/ users. This flash Demo had as much length as some of the other Badge games on here. Much like "Creeper World" after playing the Demo and thinking about it for a day. I decided to buy the full game when I realized how much more fun I could be having for the same price as a restaurant meal. Good demo and good game 5/5

are you guys (the developers) fans of Garth Nix's Abhorsen trilogy? there are just some similar elements with necromancy and such. sweet game though, solid demo and i'll probably give it a buy.
It is currently install-only. We are considering doing a Kongregate version as well, though it would be a separate license sold for kreds through Kongregate if we did that.

Really liking the game. Liked it so much that I bought it. Liked the fact that it took me little to no time at all to get the email with the download link.
Don't like the fact that it's not connecting and I'm getting nothing now. You don't place orders after midnight if you're a man of patience. I want to play more now!

I don't usually even consider paying for games, but I think I'm going to throw in a couple bucks for this one... I would love to support the developers who somehow meshed story, purpose, action, AND tower defense all into one kick-ass game. 5/5, hope you guys come out with something even better soon.

Wonderful, well-written game with solid production values.The RPG elements are meshed very well with the TD genre to addicting results. Your business model is unusual but with so many co-creators I don't blame you. I really hope it works out, because this demo, and presumably the full game suggest you guys have a lot of potential. Keep up the great work! Looking forward to future work.

I don't like that you gain significant XP and gold for replaying levels and even if you lose the battle. This means that if you lose a battle you dont have find the solution, because the next time the same battle will be easier. Furthermore, I have the feeling if you play the hard levels too early, then the later normal levels will be too easy, and if you play the early hard levels later, then they will be too easy. maybe im not right, i did not buy the game yet, but i guess there may be problems with the difficulty level of the game later.
Still it is one of the best Tower defence game. 5/5 from me.
There were a lot of weird and interesting balance questions for the game. We originally had some big penalties for failing (you would only get 20% of the XP), but that just seemed too harsh. As it is, you only get 50% of the XP from the enemies you killed, so playing a hard level likely won't get you too much. Plus, you don't get the one-time bonuses for beating the level, which are pretty substantial. We didn't want the game to be too grindy, but we also wanted plenty of content for those who like to grind up to the higher levels. So yeah, it's a little fuzzy here and there, but we let you pick your difficulty throughout, so generally you can customize it to make sense for whatever level of challenge you want.
You must find some pretty great demos. I tend to find that demos for games are in the 15 - 30 minute range at best. This one is more like 1 - 2 hours depending on how completionist you are. It's not a full-game length (well, it's not a full-RPG length - there are plenty of great Kongregate games that are less than 1 - 2 hours of gameplay), but we thought it was enough to justify putting up here. :)

This seems to be a very good game. I mean... even as a demo, its certainly a 4/5 with far more potential if it... well... was the full game. Could easily be one of the top rated games on kong and I will very strongly consider purchasing it. I probably wont, but its still one of the few games that I could see buying from a demo I've seen on a free game site.

Honestly, I have come to hate most TD games (a sin I know....), but this game was awesome and so awesome that I even purchased the full version. Amazingly, I am still happy with it. Is this the game that brings me to the dark side of TD game players?

I would have gladly donated 100 kreds ($10) to this game, but because of the decision to only provide a demo in hopes to get me to purchase it somewhere else, instead of providing the full version, has persuaded me not to.

Wow, I must say, this is one of the greatest TD games I've played in a long time, I commend you for this great game, I was disappointed that the full game needs to be bought, but I'm really tempted to buy it.

Great game, however I experienced serious memory leak issue (Opera 11.61, Win 7). I played for about an hour and the memory gain reached 1gb (started from 300mb).

wow this is definitely the FIRST tower defense game i like! i played many others but they all lacked of this or that. since you gave this game an own story it makes it even better. now i wait till the free full version =D 5/5
Glad to hear it! It varies somewhat on whether you're reading the story or just speed running, but you can "beat" the game on normal probably in 3 - 5 hours. Getting through the full content is more like 15 - 20 hours, and we'll be releasing a fair amount of new content in the future.

i think it's a very good game, because of the storyline, the charachters and it's pure fun. The demo is a bit short, but it is well deserved a better rating. All those who rate it low because you have to buy the full game are plainly cheapskates! Thanks for an interesting game =)

This game is pretty good. The demo is long enough to pique interest, the story is amusing and the gameplay is engaging. Bought.
