And the best thing about the game is that even experienced users can find a lot of challenges, i.e. by deciding not to recruit any characters, sticking just with those who are part of the storyline, and/or not to buy any gear, or never to grind for more XP, playing every battle just once. All CAN be done and each has a very different feel and approach...

This was the second flash game I spent money on, after Gemcraft Labyrinth. And I think that the demo did a good job - after I finished playing it, it really was "shut up and take my money" :) - and that's ages ago and since then, the devs made so much work on it, making the experience better...
While we don't want to diminish the value of games based solely on the underlying technology (some great examples of top-notch Flash games are Bloons TD 5, Offspring Fling, The Binding of Isaac, Kingdom Rush, Samorost, etc., many of which are on sale on Steam), we're flattered that you're enjoying the game that much. :-D

Do I need to start a game from 0 to get the ch 3 and 4 now with the version 1.0.30? yesterday i was getting black screen now i can load but still limited to ch 2.
You shouldn't have to start over. Export your save file and send it to leveluplabs@gmail.com and we'll investigate what's going on and see if we can fix it in 1.0.31!

... totaly took the cheep easy way out with the bad end feel so guilty as I faught my way up to the final boss but ... I figured I will at one point wana see the bad end might as well do it then newgame+ for the good end... still feel so bad @_@

so...is the demo always going to be a demo, or if enough people buy, the full game will be opened for everyone or some such? that's what looks like is happening so far to me: more people buy, and Kong gets more of the game. confirmation?
Kongregate asked us if we could provide them with some exclusive content for their registered users, which gives people an incentive to sign up for kongregate accounts. We may or may not add more free content in the future, but it won't depend on people's purchasing habits.

Developer are you guys ever going to put more story in the game? I mean like the bottom left and Top Right of the map are empty. Can you add more stuff to it? :D
We have added seven new side-quests in New Game+ mode in the full version, which extend the story quite a bit :) Beyond that, we have one more thing up our sleeves that we haven't revealed just yet, but plan to include in a future update.

the reset points bug was my browser not the game, all is fine again now, sorry for bothering you, decided to reinstall my borwser and now everything is all good :)
Based on other user reports, this might not be a universal bug, but could simply be related to your specific internet connection. If it keeps happening, try one of these:
1) Clear your cache, then reload
2) Use a different browser
3) Try again later

Very good game and as I said I was, I bought it. (From the main DQ site.)
From what everyone says it is a good purchase I believe it is aswell. You're doing what a good delvoper should do aswell, Updating the game, being fairly quick with responses, trying to work out bugs. If it wasn't for the gold edtion coming out I would of liably never of heard of this game and not bought it.

This is one of the most touching games I have ever played. Few have the ability to draw you in like this one. I was sad for one ending, and almost as sad that I could only give it a 5. Wonderful game. I'm glad I got it and even more glad that I played it.
(UPDATE: Should be fixed now in 1.0.35) Two quick questions: 1) Does the version # in the lower right on the title screen say 1.0.29? If not, then clear your cache and refresh the page until it does. 2) If it is version 1.0.29, when you get to the save slot screen, does it say "Demo version" or "Extended Demo version" on the bottom of the screen in yellow text?

for some reason trying to reset pts for me makes the game lock up and forces me to refresh the page so i'm stuck with the skill choices i have made now
I'm sorry to hear this - I can't seem to reproduce this error myself. Can you export your save file and send it to me at leveluplabs@gmail.com with a copy of this bug report? Also - are you experiencing this bug in the demo version, or the full version?
The "Import" button currently only shows up in the full version. However, save games should automatically carry over from the regular demo to the extended demo and full version. Export/import should only be necessary as a backup safety method, or for sharing save files with your friends :)

The Gold version includes a higher difficulty level for those users, such as myself, who already played through the game once. Add in extra quests, story and dialogue, Hermits looking for special skulls, a wider variety of weapons and whatever else they've put in past Act II, and it is well worth playing through a second time.

As one who has the full version, I must say the new stuff is great! Shame about the problems those who have the free version are experiencing though...
Are you logged into your kongregate account? If not, try logging in and refreshing the browser page. If that doesn't work, leave me a shout or a bug report and we'll try to fix it ASAP.

I played this game about 6 months ago and the graphics are way better than last time. Though I still wish this was a full game.
The extra content should show up if you're logged into your kongregate account. If it's not showing up, then that's a bug and we'll fix it as soon as possible!

Ok, fortunately the game saved so I didn't lose any exp, or at most a battle or two. Anyway, I agree that you should not have called this a Demo. You should have called this the full game, and said that there was an Expansion Pack available for 50 Kreds.

While full version of this game do worth it, as there are enough surprising after the demo. Although different ending without hint makes me feel a little bit strange (how would I know the division before I go?) Anyway, great game, 5/5.

Graphics could stand to be a lot better if you expect people to buy this content. Other then that its interesting, story has potential. I do hope this doesn't become a trend on Kongregate, demo's because flash game designers suddenly feel as if they can make a living putting out games.

jesus man. I love this game, great job. safely say it beats Dream World, Warlords, Decision 2, Hack Slash Crawl.... Everything. hands down best game on kongregate

according to the games facebook page, gold version is already out! but i lost my save file of all 37 characters with max stats (yay for leveling up at max level glitch) unfortunately... so, i gotta start all over to see the new content... even though i dont know what all of it is, i can guarantee it is worth the replay... this is the best TD game on kong by far! GC is great, but not even close to this...

I have to say (after buying the full game) I can easily see this as being the highest rated game on Kong due to the extreme amount of gameplay. I mean, you have 99 battle, which alone is more than most games on Kong, but the fact that you each level has 3 difficulties easily makes this the longest game on Kong gameplay wise. That being said, there is a bit of grinding to be had after you beat the first boss, as the difficulty kind of shoots up from there but that is so easy to look past when you see the full scope of the game. This is easily better than those 20$ games from Popcap or BigFish that are in all essence the same game one after another and only have about 10 hours of gameplay. Well done Level Up, well done.
