When I first started this game and I saw the Bonus Shop I groaned, thinking that it would be just another way to get money out of us. Then I clicked on it and my heart rejoiced, it was COMPLETELY FREE!!!

These are some messages from "light_bringer777", the developer of the game, from his Kongregate page : 1) Learn to Fly 3 has high chances of being our penguin opening his own flight school. The 4th would be going into space so far… but things may change until we get there! xD; 2) I consider 18 months by myself to be “not so bad” in the end! It’s just a pain for the players waiting on a sequel =/; 3) I probably won’t quit making Learn to Fly ;)

I also can't buy the omega thing it just redirects me back to kongregate even tho im already on the website. I'm so desperate to buy these omega items. this game was everything to me this is heartbreaking

protip: the bar upgrades (height, length, fuel) cost less money if you save up then just buy a higher level. savig up 10,000 dollars to buy the max upgrade cots less money than buying them one or two at a time

game works again, feels good. Only issue is that the omega catalog is inaccessible, since the game doesnt realize its being played on kongregate.

To add to AioriaRox's comment, it is very important that you have done the story mode first and gotten plenty of Bonus Points, because the hard badge will be impossible to get without MAXING OUT the top right 4 items in the bonus shop (feather, turbo, gas tank, anti-gravity), AS WELL AS the level 2 information meter. The level 2 information reader is what will tell you what your resistance is at. Lastly, For the $25,000 arcade, the angle for the cruise missile you need to maintain ~220 speed is resistance 52. Please + this comment so people can see it!

Here's how to get the hard badge (spend excess cash on ramp upgrades):
$1k --- Spring Box + Umbrella + Sugar Rocket + $500 fuel - keep resistance @ 0 and max safe speed (got 2.1k score)
$5k --- El Bouncy + Hang Glider + Pulse Jet + $2k fuel; just keep level and at max safe speed (got 5.7k)
$25k --- H.I.G.H tech glider + Cruise Missle + $10k fuel. Gain 600+ alt / max speed w/ cruise missle (~50 resistance), then adjust resistance and keep at ~max safe speed; (got 19k score)

This is definitely one of the best games on Kongregate, the music is catchy and you can annoy your friends by humming the tune. The game just manipulates you and you want to keep playing until youve maxed out EVERYTHING! THe addition of obstacles, three modes, payload and the bonus shop definitely was a good call. Overall, this game is amazing and I hope that Gorad is right!

I liked the alternate ending a lot, but there should be another ending for going 10,000 or so negative distance, where the penguin just realizes he can go the other way and avoid the ice wall completely :)

Tidied up version of minh123's post: Secret Medals: 1. Click on your money when in shop 2. Click on your money again afterwards 3. Click on the space below the Whirlybird 512 (or to the left of the chopper if you have the omega catalog) in the "glider" tab of the shop 4. use the brick you got in #3 to destroy an object 5. You don't need to be high up to get this, just run out fuel and LAND ON YOUR FEET 6. Fall and land on your feet, sometimes Zeus will tell you to rise (this is a reference to an old game) 7. Click on the penguins beak on the title menu 8. Click on the medal displaying the description . Hope it helps!

What is this? A pleasant game, that doesn't involve kreds, has multiple ways to solve it and has awesome music? You, Sir deserve 1,5k that are coming to you. And I bet its more than most of the "kredslave" games have earned.

I'm just playing the game, I defeated the snow mound, i hit the snow, and when I'm ready to go to the shop all of a sudden this penguin holding a blue orb says "I comman you to rise from the snow and fly again." Next thing I know, I'm like, 100 feet or yards or meters whatever metric is used in the air, and I crash into the mountain with a hell of a lot of damage inflicted on it. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT JUST HAPPENED BUT NOW I AM RICH!!!

I love this game! Especially when I go like 500 speed and the music changes! :D Oh and to all that don't know, you can actually get more money when you press that button that says extra cash and bonus points. :) Thank you for making this game! :D

My guide to 2000 points on the $1,000 arcade (better than video): Get Umbrella, Sugar Rocket, 4 ranks fuel, 2 ranks Ramp Length, 2 ranks Ramp Height. (Have already maxed out the relevant bonuses in the Bonus Shop.) Adjust your launch ramp so that it launches you at around a 5 degree resist angle, and then adjust to 0 resist almost immediately. You should retain elevation at about 5'. Use the thrusters whenever your speed drops to 15 to get you back to 20 but below the 30 redzone. You should be able to get 2k points using this method. + if this helps you.

Anyone notice that when you do the Skullcrusher Medal (hit the ground with enough damage to scar the earth) the end damage = 666. Gave me a laugh

All 8 hidden achievements:
1.Give an inch - Click on your money in the shop to earn a dollar
[1]He'll take a yard- Click on your money in the shop again
2.The Brick - In the Gliders catalog, in the shop on the last page, then click under the whirlybird 512 to get the brick.
3.Revenge of the Brick - On story mode destroy an obstacle using the Brick
4.Its Rob! - You have to buy the booster in the bonus shop, then next time you fly you will get resupplied with fuel and get the medal
5.Rise! - Buy the phoenix feather in the bonus shop and next time you fly when you land you will get shot back up in the air and get the medal.
6. The Easy Way - (Learn the secret by completing story mode) click on the birds beak at the main menu
7. Achievement! - click on the medal
8. I.C.B.P - fly over "the wall" in story mode this also takes to a cut-scene

I found a bug: If your using a one shot boost and you hit the water, the boost will stop using fuel and will stop propelling you. You can press spacebar again to reactivate it.
