It would be REALLY nice if the over world map was more accurate and showed trails/forks. Honestly, I keep getting lost. It's getting tedious and unfun. Especially since, somewhere, I missed a boss and am having to search all over for him. Thumbs up if you've had this problem/want a better map.

Several suggestion if Castaway 3 is going to be developed: Pet's with inventory slots 'cause they're not that helpful if they just do 30 damage overall whilst you're trying to kill a monster, stash/chest in main towns that has a large capacity or infinite storage if you're generous, crafting aid (Quick craft) click a "craft" button in the recipe list if you've got the materials to instantly craft the object, and random merchants along your adventure so you won't have to travel through a huge chunk of a map just to buy a specific item you require. If you'd like these to be in Castaway 3 just press that + button, it's shiny.

There's this strange cacophony in the background when you disable music. It's quite low volume but still audible. You can actually hear it also when the music is on, if you listen carefully.

I've been playing the game for a whole 5 minutes, and I was instantly annoyed at the numerous clicks for menus instead of hotkeys. The game itself is awesome overall, and for free I can't complain. If you want less frustration and more enjoyment in a game, it's key to have awesome controls and customization.

Just a quick crafting guide for you: Out of all Materials, only the Ores and their derivates, Alkahest and Empty Bottles have lots of uses. Other than them, you can only make a few useful things, most at the begginning of the game: Shank, Wooden Sword, Nail Bat, Beetle Shield, Regal Sword (that you use one Leather). Basically all materials are useless other than those. But don't sell the useless ones right away! Combine 3 of one material with 3 of the same, and you'll get an item. Combine 3 of these with an Alkahest and you'll earn much more money than the raw materials! (These combination steps also work for ores, making first the full ore/ingot, then transforming it into a Globe).

I can't find enough ruby shards to make a ruby, much less a globe. I'm getting dizzy walking back and forth hoping in vane for those little red piles that never appear.

First off, this is a great game; I just wanted to preface with that. And now to the nitty gritty, I've noticed two glitches, one substantial and one merely annoying.
-The substantial glitch has to do with the music, it looks like when the music fades out for a victory or crafting fanfare, it doesn't fade out all the way. Then you wind up with a quiet instance of music in the background. Eventually you can get many layers of this, which slows down the game and seems to eventually crash it after crafting by disabling buttons. (this may be the cause of the crafting glitch people are talking about).
-The second glitch has to do with egg discarding. Sometimes you choose to discard one egg and it discards another one entirely.

please make a storage bin at your home town... i sold my imp branch cause i had no use for it, but then i looked at a crafting guide... and it showed i needed it for a mission. put a storage bin in town that could hold 50 objects, and place it next to that statue that revives your pet. + so if the creator sees this comment, he'll know what i mean.

Here's a few little bugbears I have with this fairly impressive game. First and foremost, I don't feel like it's obvious when you're going to hit an enemy. The hit animation will regularly pass right through an enemy, as will the weapon, but it won't register as a hit. Same with some attacks like thrust, where by all rights it should hit, but still doesn't. I don't mean I see miss, I mean it literally won't register that a collision happened, despite it looking like it should.
Second, I like the crafting system, but the UI should be simplified. If you're going to have a recipes window, let me craft from it, rather than going through the entire crafting animation all over again.
Third, if you do a Castaway 3, please make sure you tone down the music, and make it a little less fanfare-ish. While the music was okay, it sounded like Title Music more than overworld music, and got old fairly quick.
Other than these few things, I felt pretty good about the game as a whole. 4/5.

What I liked: Simple gameplay, good premise, reasonably balanced stats (except agility which seemed a little useless) and a nice style to it. What I'd have liked: plot, detailed world map, harder end boss, and a means of running faster through normal terrain. 4/5.

TIP:at the start craft 3 shells with 3 shells to make a plate.craft that with each piece of leather armor to get plate armor.to get the scholar craft a regal sword with a sorcerers saphire.+ to keep this with kongregate

Great. I went through hell trying to find all the golem and paladin tailsman. Now I have to go through it AGAIN to find all the saint and minotaur tailsman

No matter what you do, DON'T sell iron ore, keep combining it until you get 5 iron globes (3x iron ore + 3x iron ore, makes one iron ingot, then 3 iron ingots + 1x alkahest = one iron globe) Combine the 5 iron globes with a wooden sword, and you get the razor sword with 28 attack, and 3 defence, better than the panzy ass morning star coz you dont need a special forge or special materials, and makes the same attack.. + to keep this in the top 5!

Much improvement, but needs many fixes. List of improvements:
-More efficient crafting: Easier to craft and easier to see recipes without clicking each one.
-Egg glitches: When I try to toss a baby turtle one, I end up tossing another one which is nowhere near my baby turtle one. Additionally, hatchery seems to not recognize my egg some times.
-One-time items: I have gotten some, but I have heard some people threw away some since they didn't think they need it.
-Weight: Interesting concept, but I feel that unless you make a STR build, this actually hinders game progress. Maybe make weight linked to level or something?
-Badges: Would love to see these if you can get them in. =)

after you kill the second boss, the snake boss lvl10, you can just change out between the village and the boss room to farm iron/saphire ores usually the room will spawn at least one, many times more than 2

The quick way to level up it's to choose poisonnous skill at the begining.
When you have miasma (the third poisonnous skill) and a good quantity of magie, your agressive pet can clean the screen with miasma ;)
The problem... not a lot of place for all items.

combine 3 shells with 3 shells to get a plate, and combine that with leather armor to get plate armor. this saves a lot of money near the beginning of the game, especially since shells are quite easy to get. (vote + so other people can see this)
