OK, manage to get the badge with a magic build character. What you need to do is equip the level 1 freeze, fire, and poison attacks, as well as the level 3 lightning and poison. Use the level 3 attack to clear the screen, have pet as agressive so he attacks the boss, and get behind the boss. While he's facing away, do the freeze attack. If it freezes, do the other two attacks. Repeat. Be ready to heal / recharge mana.

@JUBILEE321: Wow, the link to http://guidology.com/2011/05/03/castaway-2-crafting-guide is pretty much a miniature Wikia. Thanks for the link.

The game is good, much better than castaway 1, but i feel, as with the last game, it needs more major towns, or at least towns with saving spots and pet kennels. I hate using over 400 coins to warp back and forth places for a few eggs

Forgotten Forge is an excellent and fairly easy place to train.
Although it's late in the game, if you use the attack techniques in the skill bar you can kill most bosses up to this point with 3 hits and just run through.
You get around 2500 exp in under 2 minutes

Would be nice if Crafting Quests could be registered as complete based on whether or not that recipe is in your recipe book. It's annoying to craft a weapon or armour you only need one of, only to find you need to do it again just for a quest.

Maybe u should add pets not certainly evolving but when they get to the level that an upper form of them is like baby blue beedle becomes a blue beedle at lvl 4 something like that would be appriciated!

Step 1: Walk into an area full of mobs.
Step 2: Put pet on aggressive
Step 3: Make sandwich and watch TV
Step 4: ???
Step 5: XP profit

So, to sum up anyone's wantings:
1) Storage space! For crafting resources and quest items!
2) More crafting recipes, and use of some materials, like treated leather
3) Balanced ore system! Add the ores to be avavabile in shops, or add something that removes grinding to collect ores requried to complete quests
4) Gold is very unimportant. Add something to balance this.
5) Make that sold items can be re- bought for a higher price
6) Add a better map, i can't see what is the way from square A to square B, cause map don't show this.
+ if you want these IN-game! These can make good game into great game.

For those curious about how to play this with SuperNova SWF Enabler plug-in, use this address provided below by copying the entirety of it and pasting it onto the address bar at the top of your browser to ensure that it bypasses the ‘GameShell’ issue that have plagued many earlier games of Kongregate: supernova://play/?swfurl=https://chat.kongregate.com/gamez/0011/3321/live/castaway2.swf?kongregate_game_version=1307118381 Make sure that your latest installation of SuperNova works correctly, as it will not function if it cannot load games that can work fine without this bypassing of the SWF files here (Used Google Chrome dev tools to get the link).

Completionist warrior pro tips: When possible, you should buy literally everything in the gear shop but 2 rusty daggers and no Regal Sword. You can instead craft it with Leather and Militia. You'll need all that stuff for crafting, except the Plate armor is just for early defense. Alternatively you can craft the Plate armor from Shells (Plates) and Leather armor, or skip it. You should mine ores when you see it (green dot on mini-map), but you get plenty through quests and boss drops so you don't have to grind for them. If you're like me and dumped all your stats into STR, you'll find that everything is incredibly lethal. Flying enemies can 1-shot you from off-screen with lightning! To attempt to kill them, you can try to stun them, or get in close (or send your pet) so they'll resort to melee attacks. The enemies that sweep down or spit poison can be avoided by simply standing diagonal while you attack. This is easier with long range weapons, which have deceptive SQUARE hitboxes.

There needs to be something so you can craft instead of 1 potion at a time you can make for example 3 or 4 at a time.

Could you add the option to reassign points? I'm a warrior but I'd like to be a mage, and and other people would probably want to be able to assign points too. + if you agree so they'll see. Thank you!

Guys, if you've crafted an item before you came across the quest, don't sweat about it. It will still be completed, just come talk to the Sigil 2 minutes or so later. It worked for me, so it should work for everyone else. Just a tip :). + so everyone knows and doesn't try to craft/waste materials on it again!

i was originally going to be a mage, but because of the need to hold items, i had to keep improving strength so im not really a mage anymore, i desperately need storage space!!!

I love how if you manage to back enough monsters into a corner you can just own house on like... 50 monsters at once.

I really like this game. 5/5 There are 2 problems I have though. 1. From what I have seen (I've only started the game, a few hours in) you can't change your characters name. I thought at first this game would be dumb, so I put in a joke name, and now I regret it. 2. Maybe making the "agility" stat increase the recharge rate of stamina by a LITTLE BIT per point.

I really hate the ice levels. It slides you into an enemy, you hit it and get knocked back and then slide into it again, repeat until dead.

Keep this comment alive if you want an overpowered weapon early in the game! Get yourself 5 iron globes and craft it with a wooden sword to get the razor sword! 28 strength! It is as powerful as the morning star!

If Castaway 3 is in the mix, I will say one thing.
The current balance and mix of options - like the crafting system - is great and all, but because of the sheer amount you have to cart around with you, pretty much the only viable stat build is 'almost everything in attack', making magic pretty close to useless.
If you want to encourage more variety - and allow for a magic focused character - I'd suggest adding an item storage facility, either at each 'Quest point' or at the home village. I'd also suggest bringing back the option to sell Monster Eggs from the first game.

Sounds like some people have problem with crafting. There is ALL about crafting and recipes: http://guidology.com/2011/05/03/castaway-2-crafting-guide/
P.S. THUMBS UP OR THIS WILL BE LOST!

Like powershot said evolution of your pets would be awesome! I think loomi's should turn into kick ass massive wolves, snakes(all kinds) just get bigger and depending on where they train most is where they adapt, beetles(all kinds) just get bigger and gain an ability like poison, eye guys should grow arms and gain poison ability. (+) if you agree.

had a good concept/idea and nice graphics, but gameplay/progress needs work @@ too much grinding and collecting shit, got really monotonous after a while

These flying eyes that stun you at hit are really damn annoying. Once they stun you, they'll hit you at least 2 more times before you can even move again. If there are other monsters near and they also attack you (i.e a Snake) you're f*cked.

Continuation 2: Piercer+Emerald Globe->Dartanian. Rusty Dagger+Alkahest->Trusty Dagger, +Ruby Shard->Assassin Dagger. Rusty Dagger+Gorgon's Blood->Cursed Kris on Theia's Forge. For mages, Stick+Sapphire Shard->Apprentice Wand, +Gaea Seed->Imp Branch, and on Themis' Forge, Imp+Necromancer Heart->Deadwood Staff, the best. Also, on Phoebe's, Wizard Rod+Seal of Magi->Staff of the Magi. Combining any ore with Alkahest gives you Projectiles (Throwing Stars or Darts). Shields: Wooden+Iron Ingot->Round, on Nymphs' combine with Old Knight's Memento to get Warrior's, +Iron Globe->Blast, on the Forgotten Forge combine it with Beetle God Essence to get Beetle God Shield. Armor, do this for each piece separetedly: Leather Armor+Plate->Plate Armor. Leather Armor+Golem Talisman->Golem Armor, +Minotaur Talisman->Minotaur Armor, these are the best for melee. Old Guard Armor+Paladin Talisman->Paladin Armor, +Saint Talisman->Saint Armor, the best for mages.
