So, this game is 70% grinding, 30% fetch quest. Not really my thing, but it was alright. The art was really well done and I liked the fact that you have pets to fight with. One thing I really feel this game lacked is a pause button. Sometimes saving slips my mind and I'll have to leave the room and come back to a dead character, not cool. Other issues are too few equipment slots and pets take -way- too long to hatch. I feel the story could use a little work too. I mean, how'd you end up on the island and why did you decide to help this village? And why are you being stalked by a tiny green dude? Speaking of, I had to sacrifice Shorty for the greater good and hit the last generator. He was the best green monster I ever had. The fact that you crawl through the game with basically no story and a lack of some key features made what could have been a great game very average for me. The game shows promise and hopefully the sequel is a little better. 3/5

This game is really grindy. Like, "did you bother playtesting it with the debug settings off?" kind of grindy. When you have to grind for 15 minutes on one screen just to not get reduced to salsa on the next screen, it's too grindy.

@Likwidgames intro, how about a minigame, with shapes moving onto the screen and they get pushed by the ripples, the more ripples the stronger the push.

Well, knewred, I guess the main complaint with the pet is that while your character has the ability to get equipment and abilities to improve, the pet has no such, so I guess they seem to die quicker that way... but I have thought about it. Maybe one is supposed to branch out with pets that way. And the reason the poison seems like a failure is that the efficiency of the poison does not increase with either your level or the enemy; it's more like something to overcome, I guess. And, despite what convincing arguements you possess, the drop rate for quest items is really frustrating.

Guys, listen, ok? The pets are strong enough if you level them up. My pet does just as much damage as me, its just i can use abilitys. The poisonn system isnt a failure, either. if your attacking something poisones and stronger then you and its defeated and your on low hp... lets say 10, your going to die if you dont antidote. But i dont think its meant to be a huge poison, just one that works when your on low hp.

Person, with your "issues" let me tell you something. 1. Absenese of auto save is good. Sometimes i like to save before attacking something way past my level to see if i can beat it and if my pet dies and i stay alive i can refresh the page to "revive" my pet. 2. My pet is just as strong as me, level him up. 3. You dont have to carry a feather, just keep saving it and if you die, you can refresh. 4. My pets just as strong as me, i dont care how long it took. 5. i dont have an argument. 6. i belive that poison is meant for early game, did you consider that? 7. What the heck? How many do you think you need to kill to get a quest item? Quest items are common enough 4 me.

Meh, I can probably deal with inventory isssues. My biggest problem is with the pet's lack of ability to survive. Unless one level grinds quite a bit, they are pretty ineffective, and as has been said, they die pretty quickly. That needed to change.
And person2348 is right; the poison system was a fail and drop rate for items is annoying.

I wish I could click a spot and move the character, rather than use the keys. Seems like a simple change because he will walk over and attack enemies if you click on them.

you can see pet status just go to the pet shelter and click choose pet and you can see how much health they have and how much more XP they need until there next level up (+ up so people see this)

r.i.p unique pet, died valiantly in the cause of walking into more monsters when I attacked a first one, you sacrifice was in vain.

I hate it when I'm fighting a generally weak monster and then a hostile monster comes along and attacks my ally monster. I target the hostile monster but end up walking ALL THE WAY AROUND a bunch of obstacles. Half way to my destination I realize my monster is losing the fight so i recall it, only to have it walk in a circle around the enemy. By the time i get to the enemy my snake, Pyrope, rest in peace, has lost the battle. It's not that bad until i realize it was an hour since I saved :|

I've got to say, this game really disappointed me. It started out promisingly, but quickly devolved into essentially a nonstop grindfest. I haven't played the sequel yquite et, but hopefully it fixes some of this game's many flaws.

I'd like some easier quests with small rewards to go along with the hard ones. I find myself grinding to level too often to often.

I think Castaway 2 is better. The beginning is slow and the first quests too.The first quests help a lot because, you know, the xp you get.But the drop rate at beetles and well, all monsters is AGHHH!!! For 10 beetles killed I get just 1 or 2 shells.Gets reeeaaally annoying after a while.
