@00Devre... That's just common with all flash player games. If you accidentally right click you don't need to reload, just click outside the game window and back. Then keyboard commands work.

why do the movement/arrow keys have nothing to do with which way this boy is walking?!?! If I have to use the mouse anyway, why not click to move? This bizarre random direction thing just doesn't work.

Do not accidentally right click on the screen, this prevents you from moving until reloading the page... And since you can't move you can't save, so be careful

Why does the level up feels useless?
Battles vs beetle
Lv1 he does me 3 dmg per hit
Lv 2 he does me 2 dmg per hit
Lv 3 he does me 2 dmg per hit
Lv 4 he does me 2 dmg per hit
Lv 5 he does me 2 dmg per hit
Lv 6 he does me 2 dmg per hit
My defense went up in 5 but he´s still doing me the same dmg... no sense

I agree with the other comments about pet dying all the time. I'm constantly restarting cause this is happening cause there's no way to revive it and also cause there's no way to load without restarting.

5 stars minus 2 because: game is not saving. I have checked every program that could possibly prevent flash saves. Even after adding exceptions or turning off auto-delete, it still doesn't save.
Pressing the save button adds a state, leaving savestate page and returning shows only empty save slots.

To keep your first pet, you have to get an egg of another one, then let it die. You'll be petless, but your first pet will still be alive in the shelter.

"I'll use backstab on this black beetle to get enough xp to level up and not need to go back to the inn" Beetle shows stunned stars over it but attacks me first anyways and I die. "I did not learn backstab well; it got the jump on me!"

Unlike all of you guys, I find this one better than the second. I like the tile system a huge amount more, and really like the combat. I don't like the combat of the second, and the crafting confused me. I will admit to not playing the second long, and i will give it a better try, but this one is better.

Oh, and another stupid feature - if you get poisoned and flee back to your home base, and spend the night to heal yourself, when you enter a level you're still poisoned and losing health. It's like no one play-tested the game before release.

I came here after playing Castaway 2 thinking I'd pick up the badges and have some more fun. I really got into 2 and appreciated the effort put into that game. I'm not sure if I should be more disappointed in the original game or more impressed at the improvements made in version 2. Inventory too small, can't pause the game when you're in a level, can't equip items from your inventory until you've entered a level (this might be the most mindnumbingly stupid feature to me - why can't I view my character or my pet or my inventory while I'm in my home base???), can't see through trees, the occasional glitch of movement/position where my character won't attack the enemy who's eating me, or my pet is facing the wrong way and seems to be attacking the air over and over. So many frustrating aspects of this game to be upset over. I'm really glad 2 is so much more polished.

No auto-save and no pause option? Almost like a online match, except it's offline and you potentially lose a bunch of progress If suddenly there is a real world emergency and there are scorpions (or snakes) almost everywhere.

You should give us pet equipment! It would be really cool if i could give my pets armor so they wouldnt die so easily, there are monsters that only do two damage to me that do thirty to my pets
