I don't know why 1163 up votes are for a question that is easily explained in the directions. You, the Bowmaster live in the tower, if the tower crumbles, you die. There is nothing in the opponent castle because they don't have a Bowmaster counterpart.

Heres an easy way too make gold, as soon as you start the game, go too the options menu, and change the difficulty too 'insane' the reason behind this? the higher the difficulty = more gold!
Easy = 8.
Medium = 10.
Hard = 14.
insane = 16.
what you want too do, is attack the castle as much as you can! it may have high health, but that just equals more money ;) try and avoid killing enemy monks! because once the last batch of units come too kill you, and you wipe them out, the game ends, but if you keep a monk alive, they cant attack your castle OR steal your flag by themselves, they may come towards your castle but they should stop around half way. when the monk stops, just keep attacking the enemy castle, this may take some time, and requires allot of patience, but if you like the game and you wanna keep playing it too its full potential, you wont mind the wait. you should earn around 6000 gold every match if you folly this.

your castle does not matter unless u rely on it that much to keep your hero alive, u can have your hero leave the castle by pressing "A" or "D", and "W" to have him garrison your castle OR one of those towers u may see in the field (the towers can be VERY useful, they move you closer to the enemy letting u get a better shot at them)

You know even thou this game is old its a blast in the past since my grandfather just sat me in front of a computer playing flash games half my life lol
but the game is easy with the auto aim but on laptop thats the only way to play
give the maker alot of respect on concept and pretty good fps

This game really really really needed an autofire option. Clicking hundreds of times per level is not fun. Otherwise it is fairly good.

I never shoot my arrow when my guys are on the field because I hate to be that guy with the arrow who kills half the army.

There is a bonus for killing the castle. In case you haven't noticed, enemy archers will in later levels jump into the castle and start shooting at your troops(Like turrets). If there is no castle, they can't do that. Also, archers that enter the castle cannot be killed unless you destroy the castle.

Wow, does this ever get tedious and boring... The first level was cool, but after that it was just more of the same. It takes way too long to level up or purchase upgrades, too.

Buy: fire arrow, ice arrow, piercing arrow, storm arrow, catapults, archers and cavalry. Use fire & ice to kill elemental foes, storm to pick off enemy archers and rush enemy flag with cavalry.

Just saying you can leave the castle by pressing W and move around using A and D. (NOTE: you have a few disadvantages height and u can get killed) + to keep this alive!

HINT: when youre in-game, push options (right corner above).
Look at shooting style and choose auto aim. PUSH APPLY before u close.
The result: Everywhere u click, there comes an arrow.

How do you turn off autocast? I can't find anything in the help pages, and all of my money keeps getting wasted sending troops I don't need or want to send.

It's a good game, but there are some flaws and bugs as with all games. A couple of notable things in this game are that each time the "basic" arrow hits something (even the enemy's castle) you get 10 gold, so if you shoot the castle the entire time with a normal arrow, you rack up about 3k each match. Another thing is that the boss is stupidly weak to the basic arrows, it does 500+ a hit, while my explosion one (which is leveled up WAY more than that one) does 200. The pierce arrow is stupidly over powered, the reload time is ~8 seconds and it can be maxed out in 4 or so levels, allowing it to wreck entire waves with a single shot if you time it right. I got 2700 damage from that arrow on a single guy, which is excedingly stupid. You also dont earn experience from your troops, so they do become a hindrance, and they cost 50 gold to build each one, so you can only gain ~500 gold a level if you use your special arrows and hire units. Good game but needs love from the dev to make it great

If the hard achievement doesn't pop for you, reload the page and wait for the game to load, press play game and it should in a second.

the point of the castle is to garrison ranged units inside so they can shoot from relative safety. u r a ranged unit and r inside.if it collaspes u dont die, but r then exposed to all the enemy units and u dont have a lot of health thus u will die pretty soon. the same goes for them, except they dont have a leader like you so all that happens is they cant garrison anymore and the people inside will probably die. the only reason its not important is because they dont have a ranged boss in it like you do

Great game. I played it a lot a year ago and I found it again! Now I might be able to complete it!. 4/5 and favorite.
