XP can only be gained by hitting enemies with the basic arrow and the fire arrow, and gold can only be gained by hitting enemies with the basic arrow. Why does this game incentivize the player not to use any of the interesting weapons or troops?

OK, could have been a great game, but the programming sucked. Too many of my arrows went THROUGH enemies in direct hit situations, or their man in a face to face battle were stronger than my man of the same type, and I died but they kept coming, or my arrow shot into a battle would go through the enemy and kill my own man. Too many stupid things like this for this to be a great game.

Putting the castle near the left edge of the screen in a game metaphor that fails when you release the mouse to the left of the left edge is a HUGE miss. Makes it nearly unplayable. Plus, I'm suing you for carpal tunnel.

After I got the medium badge, I realized you can go to options and change the difficulty to easy and use auto aim. (Literally just point and click to kill, so much easier)

If you people would read the help section you can change the aimmode so it's just click to shoot, also there is a high and low mode making it extremely easy to hit targets where ever they are. Finally, YOU CAN LEAVE THE TOWER. Use A and D to move and W to reenter your tower or a neutral tower. Simple as that.

Truly one of the most mundane games ive ever played. The best stradegy is just to buy units and let the game run in the background. But what if you want to interact with the game? You have to use a standard, unintutive pullback arrow system that often lets go of your arrow as you are aiming it because your base is so far to the left you have barely enough room to pull back and aim. Sucks I need to play this game over 5 minutes for the Best of 2007 badge

The game makes it VERY hard to aim. My target is almost 30seconds behind where my mouse points to shoot. Ridiculous. 1/5 stars

About hard badge. Probably it's broken due to badly-coded API.. You have to send (at least high-score, since it proves completed game) to get that hard badge

How do you turn off autocast? I can't find anything in the help pages, and all of my money keeps getting wasted sending troops I don't need or want to send.

How to beat all 30 waves easily:
1) Do the first ~8 waves without summoning troops. Farm money by using your standard arrow on the castle. 2) Once you have the basic arrows, buy the horses. They'll grab the enemy flag quickly and return so you can go through levels fast. 3) Get the rest of your arrows. 4) Get the trebuchet units. They're the only ones that do anything besides die in terms of combat.
Other than that, just move up to the closest tower to the enemy castle you can and keep the enemies off your horsemen so they can grab the flag. Once the horses are behind you with the enemy flag you've basically won that level.

Great game, while the autoaim may make things super easy to cheese by running up with spam shots, the difficulty curve in the later stages alleviates all guilt as it sends out wave after wave of elementals and giants.

You win when you capture the flag, just an fyi. So focus on knights, they're quickest. If you're lucky, you win before any tough waves appear. Makes those 30 levels go by slightly faster.

Finished the game! took me about 6 hours or so, anyway. couple of comments: 1. The flak arrow is nice versus those big trolls because it pierces the helmet 2. at the end it got too lengthy and boring so I decided to win by capturing the flag each time, I made a lot of horses/archers and trebuchets. then I rushed forward, killed enemies and made path for my horses. I think it is a good game but it can egt boring easily so not so good 3/5

It's a good game, but there are some flaws and bugs as with all games. A couple of notable things in this game are that each time the "basic" arrow hits something (even the enemy's castle) you get 10 gold, so if you shoot the castle the entire time with a normal arrow, you rack up about 3k each match. Another thing is that the boss is stupidly weak to the basic arrows, it does 500+ a hit, while my explosion one (which is leveled up WAY more than that one) does 200. The pierce arrow is stupidly over powered, the reload time is ~8 seconds and it can be maxed out in 4 or so levels, allowing it to wreck entire waves with a single shot if you time it right. I got 2700 damage from that arrow on a single guy, which is excedingly stupid. You also dont earn experience from your troops, so they do become a hindrance, and they cost 50 gold to build each one, so you can only gain ~500 gold a level if you use your special arrows and hire units. Good game but needs love from the dev to make it great

Anyone else have a problem with lag on this game? I have a 1080, 16 GBs of RAM, 16 threads, and a SSD and I am still jerking through it.

My last enemy of this wave is a mage who hides behind a castle and the only troops I have are archers (Sigh) and I have bad aim.
