@ Bigmac 79 - a poster here called me an idiot for not being able to find a mute button but he hasn't come back to tell me where it is. If you find it please let me know ;)

While I certainly enjoy seeing a new twist to flying mechanisms, the adjustments are far too strong. I just tap A or D and my firing spins around far too much... Needs a lot of refinement there.

For Loki I found that using AMU-5 ODIN (obtained after level 20) and Excalibur (obtained using Lightknife on level 19) as a weapon worked best. Don't try and dodge in the middle, just circle around the outside as fast as possible while firing. Spam invincible and once protected go in close to Loki as possible. It should die after about 2 invincible bursts.

Methinks Millie needs a WAAAAAmbulance :P Came for the Badge of the Day, stayed to finish it. Interestingly, although the offset aiming and no choice targeting bugged the hell out of me right from the start, it's perfectly playable with just the mouse if you use the right weapon for the level. Nice upgrades and a good balance 5/5

tip; holding down one of the arrow or wasd keys constantly targets enemys, you do a lot more damage this way + so others can see

I am really not liking the aiming system. I thought it was something i could get used to, but i just really don't understand how it works... Also, I don't understand how the money at the end of the level gets calculated. Sometimes I am really great at a level and I get less money than when I barely win with a couple shield points left. All this just leaves me to run around aimlessly pressing fire until the little lady tells me that my weapon is overheating.

Having auto targeting with an offset feature is nice and all. But no keyboard based control system will ever surpass WASD with mouse aiming.

Once I got everything, I decided to try and beat the final boss with the very first weapon. Did it first time. Next up, beating the final boss with the very first weapon and the very first ship!

Excellent music, good story, however ...... the controls are horrid. Locking on to mobs is very difficult and its a no stop bullet hell with no way to get out of anything. Thing to remember is ..... your going to get hit ..... alot o.O

So unpolished...targeting system is terrible, so clunky. Should be more like Death vs Monsters system. Also, the dialog.....wow. Just wow.

I hate this game's control scheme. I would enjoy it a lot more if the enemies didn't spawn right on top of you, or if there was an option to go standard arrows and mouse for moving and firing. I like the story, minus the spelling/grammar errors, though.

excellent shooter, it's a shame that at the end you get all these amazing weapons and AMUs, but you don't really have anywhere left to use them on, since you don't have a survival mode and already finished all the levels. other than that, great game

Decided to replay this recently and I still love it. The shotty aim system works because it makes the player move to hit their target and dodge bullets at the same time, system sucks badly when the fast moving CUBES are present, I played only using "Gatling" class weapons, but thats the point of multi/Missile weapons. Still, not a bad game 11 years later, not difficult, simple, short and sweet.

PLEASE provide better instructions for this game!
Too many problems to try to recommend this game:
Poor translation/grammar, no explanation of what powerups do, too much text on too small a screen, enemies teleport in randomly making them unavoidable AND prior warning is misleading, constant need to mash W, etc.

offset is actualy useful when the enemys are small because if you aim ahead of them, the delay in flight causes the bullets to hit alot more times

The difficulty between individual stages is pretty intense, but not at all impossible to deal with. The aiming system is creative, and definitely has its uses (e.g. aiming ahead of where an enemy unit is going so your shot hits from far away) without being an impediment to hitting targets. My only complaint is that the writing isn't too great; it seems like it was given the least attention of all the game's components.

there needs to be a way to skip all the talking not just some. that and the loading screen before each way and at the end is way to long.

I think the controls are great. You automatically face the enemy so the mouse control is perfect. i like the offset idea. Makes people have to use their skills and not just point and click, or in this case it auto aims basically.

Awesome music; reminds me of lovely N64 games like Bomberman Second Attack and whatnot. Storyline is very well thought out, and gameplay is smooth and simple. Great job; I hope it gets badges next week.

Beating Loki: use odin + excalibur.
Try to fill full chain gauge while in invicible mode.
Completely filling chain gauge gives you +50% to overdrive gauge.
If all goes well, you will be in invicible mode half of the time.
