love this game but i think it would help in the hunt missions if we could see a monsters health bar just above their heads or somthing

Great game, but the AI could use a substantial amount of work. Too many times, one of my characters died because they wouldn't follow the "active" character.

Well, I just got the hard mode badge and I must say this has been by far one of the most entertaining games I've ever played, but it feels lacking in replay value. Quests are fairly repeatitive and the generator dies out after a while (it was amusing once though because it left me trapped on an island in my starting point) especially with only having the grass area as a battlefield. If there was more variety in quests, like a dungeon crawling mode or pick an item while in a battle, this game could have much more variety. Upgrading only weapons is also limiting. If you could find and equip more items (healing ones would be nice, or armors with especial effects), or heck add a forging skill level to keep with the school theme, it would help to add to this replayability. This is still a very solid game, but it has a lot of room for improvement to be even better. The hidden button is in the credits btw.

You know, when I graduate a student who's been with me through thick and thin, I get way too emotional about it. It would be nice for them to visit so I see how they're doing.

It'd be nice to have an intermediate difficulty level - one where the fame does count for something, but without the king's extravagant expectations, which too-quickly become impossible to meet. Failing that, I'd settle for not having to listen to the pink-haired school inspector popping up every month to nag me about reaching my nonexistent target ranking on Sandbox mode.

Normally, the pathing across the water frustrates me to no end. However, it worked in my favor for once. The apprentice got stuck on the other side of a small pond and I killed him with 4 Mage Scholars .-.

The best hard badge tip I have on top of other top comments: Stop leveling chars when they reach level 10. Keep them around as mana scholar/apprentice until you know you'll need the class (for +50% bonus). Because mana scholar/apprentice gives 30% better fame than specific classes, if the +50% bonus isn't enough for the month. Oh and month 12 requires 6792 fame.

I really loved the first VA. The second lost my interest really quickly. So please improve the first. Here are my suggestions:
1. Higher levels and further class advancements.
2. Difference in weapons: like fire/ice weak elements and demons with elemental weakness.
Thanks for making a good game!
we improved all from valthirian arc 1 & 2 in Valthirian Arc: Red Covenant. Please support us on Kickstarter to make it happen :D https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/agatestudio/valthirian-arc-red-covenant

I doubt the survival of a world that comes under attack from meteor storms every other week, and "Holding the meteor" is recommended for the students of an academy overseen by a glory-seeking King.

let's see either go underground and save someone, save the world from a meteor, act as bait so hero can save a town, or pick flowers... picking flowers it is

For anyone that doesn't already know, it IS possible to kill the Apprentice. I did it with level 30/weap maxed Dragoon, Sorceress, and Mirage Caster and a level 11 Apprentice (weapon also maxed- dont ask). If you manage to kill him, you get the "Abuse the Apprentice" rune. +1 if you care ;). You'll probably want to try this on endless though....

Highest Mag=Sorceress
Men: Highest Phy=Duelist
Highest Dex=Gunslinger

5 tips to go as long as possible 1. only trade in students at the last week at of a month so you get all levels your gonna get in time. 2. only trade in units that get the 50% bonus enless your going to pot. 3. save level 30's untill you need to be bailed out for honour or enless they get a bonus. 4. don't die, you need that 20% bonus to make it worth it, if you need to just wait untill your life has recuperated. 5. send 3 magi-lancers and a mirage-caster to tournys, as long as you are a decent level you will win every time!

@crepylildud But enemies same. I had whole party but Gunslinger killed so I tricked all enemies to 1vs1 with lakes between every time so they couldn't hurt me. Trolololo

This game...
Sure it looks nice and all, but is there really any developed strategy to it? I feel as though all I've input is student/mission selection and then simply moving around the map beating on poor innocent animals. If there is something beyond this, they certainly haven't grabbed my attention with this crap enough to get that far. If anyone can contend for the game, please do feel free to explain. 3:

If you keep recruits undeclared they are worth more fame than letting them pick their class. Also if their stats are close it is possible for them to switch their desired class as they rank up. So, in general, if you are going for the hard badge, you are better off not picking a major unless it matches that month's bonus class or you are trying to win the tournament.

Suggestions: I want to be more personally connected with the students. It would be nice if there was a couple randomly generated personality adjectives in their profiles. I also don't appreciate the stereotypical part. It would be much better if males could end up being sorcerers, and females could end up being duelists, etc.. It just makes more sense. Also, having the pupils in demand? What does that accomplish? They're pretty much noobs with no specialty, so... why should we graduate them when we can give them a class? Other than that, great game.

The secret to the game is getting one or two characters up to grade thirty, then having them solo rank 3 quests while dragging around as many rookies as you can. I personally like a magilancer or a Duellist for this, but a sorceress works best if you're using a mouse, and not a trackpad.
(Sorceress is best in case you bump into the apprentice)
ALWAYS be aware of the bonus. Search for recruits of that gender, and pick the ones that match the stats and level them as much as you can. If the recruit doesn't go into the class, just graduate without upgrading: they're worth a ton as apprentices.
Over the required fame? Start growing a tourney team, bench them at 30: there's no reason to keep running with characters that don't get better. When tourneys come, grab your 2-3 level 30s, and get your free 300 fame. ALWAYS go for the mirage casters, followed by sorceresses. They will RUIN you.
