Reasons I gave this 1/5: no minimap, terrible pathfinding that always gets stuck, no ability to multi-select characters, very little control over who does what in battle even though you MUST control that to play the main game of levels/EXP, manual levelling (why? pointless), terrible instructions, and last: irritating voice acting.

Congratulations, one of the best games on Kong, 5/5. I managed to do the perfect first year, but started year 2 with 4 lvl 1's and no money whatsoever... :)

@Pystrike. I disagree. Mirage Caster seemed more important to me. She's the one unit you keep to the very end because of her healing. A maxed Mirage Caster and one Magilancer let you beat most stuff(including Royal challenge) even if the other two in your party are lvl 1 guys(who will of course be getting xp)

Started a Pyon Invasion mission where I was completely trapped by water, and unable to continue. Obviously I could withdraw my students from the battlefield, but the resulting 0 LP for the week resulted in me being unable to promote and subsequently graduate a duelist, thereby forcing me to fail a fame evaluation. This might not be a common issue, but when I'm 3/4 of the way through the hard badge and I fail due to circumstances beyond me control, it's... aggravating.

I think it seems a little odd that at the beginning of week 4 I have to graduate everyone I want fame for before doing a quest, which seems to signal end of week/turn over. Other than that and the occasion non-fighting unit at really bad times, it's cool.

Tip: Aim for a sorceress first to make it easier for survival and perfect 1st year (Female with magic as her highest attribute). Also, what wouldn't complete an adventuring party without a high damage, fire blazing sorceress to back it up? 5/5 for this!

I was about to complain about the pathfinding. Then the Apprentice got stuck behind a river in range of my level one and five Mana Scholars.

So here's a fun bug - I went on a hunt mission, and it spawned me in part of the terrain that was impossible to leave. So. I'm stuck here, unable to finish it, and will have to recall my students and lose the mission. I am on an island, with rivers all around that make the terrain impassable.

If you're LUCKY, you can defeat the apprentice with a weak ranged party. If SOMEHOW the apprentice got stuck, keep hitting him while using PI as often as possible. He gives a hell lot of LPs.

Nice graphics, music and voice acting and pretty fun to play, but gets boring after a while. A storyline would have been nice, it would probably motivate me to keep playing a bit more. A sequel or an improved version with some new stuff would be nice. I give it a 4/5 because both modes are pretty much endless and no storyline. But other than that, keep up the good work!

well, since nobody bothered to answer your question, i guess i will. it's affected by grade, class, and featured class. (i list class and featured class differently because, although i may be wrong on this, since it's late and i'm really tired, what the featured class is seems to affect how much the other classes give you)

yeah, action speed is gorgeous
1.5x speed is for the impatient people. i noticed it quite alot actually.
health and mana regen work perfectly, i have no idea what you're talking about o.o *has actually watched it to see the difference, 3x is, if anything, an understatement about how much it speeds it up*

I think most of the PI are bugged. only x2 Action Speed has a good effect (who needs x1.5 Movement speed anyway, and health and mana regen doesn't work)

Did anybody else think of Stephen King's Dark Tower series as soon as they saw Gunslingers? I did, hence my Academy of Gilead full of level 30 Gunslingers and one Duelist (out of necessity; they don't always attack right without a melee unit).

Regice - Click a unit, click Organize Student, then the Grade Up button is in the top left corner, assuming they have enough LP and aren't level 30.

is it just me, or are the game makers Touhou fans? I have a sorceress called Remilia, another one called Alice, a (lol) healer called Cirno, and starlancer name is Marisa...I swear I didn't change their names, its all default names!!!

So...I have a small problem, my units never "grade" up. I've played sandbox and had the same team for about a year and they never get stronger...their starting stats were good though so I can still do tough missions. They all have the determined green face in the top of their pictures, but I don't know what to do. Can anyone help?

need a button to return to the main menu... or make it easier to see if there is one ! ! ! the game need updates, some glitchs are remaining and there is no clear option menu.

Bug/undocumented feature I've noticed with the game.
So leveling lower characters on the four star levels like the ogre and the wolves, is a good way to get new pupils trained quickly. Its also a good way to get them killed quickly.
Tip: try spamming the shift key, and moving around really quickly. If you have a high level primary character, and a couple healers, chances are that they all attack the leader instead of your puny pupils. Except your leader ain't going anywhere, and they've got four troopers firing at them simultaneously. I don't know if this was INTENDED to be a game feature, but it is nonetheless, one of the few ways to easily lvl anything in the game.
Also, fire OVER the water at enemies (works better if they can't fire back at you).

Loved the game. I think you should make another one with more in it. More quests. Make the difficulty between stars more. Shouldn't beable to beat a four star mission with four lvl 7-9 charecters. Also add a story line. LOL.

Hey, you're right, there it is. But for those of us who don't memorize every little letter on the bottom of a menu, we'd have to get back to the main menu to see it. Which we can't do because there's no way to quit out without refreshing, unless that's another hidden code. Any way you cut it, it's a usability fail. It still needs an obvious Options menu and a way to get to the main menu, just like every game in the world does. But hey, Daklon, thanks for at least answering, even if it was snide.

I was wondering why this game got badges even thought I already played it, I usually only play games that has badges. As I heard a certain music, I remembered I played it because it was a game created by the guy who made Cube Colossus.

For those who complain about having a student stuck along a river: If you press the shift key, all the students will gather around the party leader (or whatever you want to call him).

Wow, this was actually one of the worse games I've played...
It didn't motivate me at ALL to finish it, because I'd have to sell off my guys anyways after leveling them up.
Not to mention I always get the same class change ALL THE TIME.

Should be able control all students, or as a principal we just watch and do not control anything. Also the student often stuck on edges. However, still a nice game.
