When I click Mouse1, the game goes out of focus. This makes shooting impossible. The mouse doesn't keep in the flash window either.

A quick tip that really really helps: In the menu screen, go to options and select customize controls. From there, you can change how you view and look around from mouse controls (default) to (for instance) arrow keys for WASD players or vice versa. This overcomes the, I can't turn without my mouse falling off screen, complaint and can make game play a whole lot easier. ;)
Good point, and that's really the only way to do it, sorry guys. I can't get the mouse to lock the the viewport without doing a complete rework of the port, and that's not going to happen.

For those who can't figure out how to start playing, press the "enter" key to select an option in the main menu.
I just spammed all the my keyboard until it working.

This is the very first FPS I ever played on Mplayer (bought out by Gamespy). Was effing EPIC! Thats when I still used the keyboard to look around. LOL!

Love this port. Console still intact, gore induced graphics, gotta love it. Only prob is my comp is junk, but that's rather on my side. Mouse bindings don't work, and mouse does not want to stay in the middle of the screen. That's my only problem with this port. other than that, this is a cool port of a now (just guessing from comments) 18 year old game. God bless ya' Quake.

Quake's pretty cool. I should grab one of these and play through it, instead of nudging my mouse the slightest little bit and looking ANYWHERE but where I'm supposed to aim.

there is a secret difficulty that is called "nightmare". To reach it, enter to any portal (easy, medium or hard) and after go to the first portal that is in your right, you will see water. Try to charge to the right until you hit a platform (its quite difficult) and when you are in the platform just go to the portal, its insanely hard and hope this helps to those strategic good shooters.

needs full screen but still a free quake and 5/5 stars. i can't wait for quake 2 two come playable and on kongregate without having to download it!
