Finally finished the hard campaign with no freeze this time, and got my Rags to Riches badge! Fun game and a nice improvement over the first Castlewars.

About to win hard badge. My castle at 99. Just one more card to play, but the game froze with the arrow blinking over the evil castle. All I can do is leave the game.

After a very long multiplayer battle what seemed to never end we decided at a tie. I still got the badge :D (though i have already completed a campaign).

I'd like to point out that I got the hard badge (complete the hard campaign) but didn't get the medium badge (complete the campaign on any difficulty). Please fix this or change the medium badge's description.

Also, take one Guards with you. If you draw it, DON'T throw that one away. That's your lifeline in case you get attacked after using a school then a lightning, quake, catapult, wain, etc. You're most likely to only need it on the largest castles in either territory or the final boss though.

another way to handle the hard badge: go almost all magic. Add x will supply what's missing in other categories to deploy those cards. Also take a couple thieves, if you draw those early and Add/All weapon to use it, you'll hamper the pc bad + gain a little brick for your efforts. Just have recruit cards, wagons, and the most expensive cards otherwise. (2-3 bombs, cannons, catapults, schools, tavern, large wall, etc, archers for magic shield) Replace whatever you used the least with dragon when you get it, and don't be afraid to throw away a bunch at once, more worthwhile to get 3 new cards than waste a turn on a normal wall. Also since you're speeding through cards so fast you'll mess up the AIs that favour sabotage. With so many people producing resources and so much damage potential you'll stop the AI from winning by babylon/pixie combos as well. Basically if you can't play an attack, then you need to Add something or Discard.

@Mar3: On the bottom-right of the game screen there is a button labeled "Card info". Click that to give a full description of what each card does.

The hard badge is easiest with a "builder" deck. You have next to no hope of taking down their wall or castle so focus on building resources and getting your castle build ASAP. Hope this helps!

I don't usually complain but that's just not right. The badge description says nothing about multiplayer mode whatsoever and the dev's response is unacceptable. The game gives no explanation of play, the mechanics are awful and there's little indication of what each card does. One star.

In the middle of a long fight, the game has frozen on the AI's turn, with its castle being highlighted, but no card being played from its hand. It's been like this for over 30 minutes. Is there an issue when the AI's deck/stock gets depleted?

If you just can't get that hard badge, try going super defensive or super offensive (i got it with Troyan and Wagon... just those 2...)

I am unable to save any decks in online mode and all of the decks I made back in 2011 are deleted from my online account. Much sadness to be had.

Honestly, except for the achievement pain in the rump, the game is simple and solid. It is basic, but fun at the same time. Multiplayer is good too, allowing you to chat and keep decks.

Super28268 that was intentional, as if you do the incredibly simple math of 8-5, you get 3. You are in fact gaining 8 crystals, however you're also losing 5 in the process.

Not a difficult hard badge, just go super defensive and remove all your offensive cards from your deck and keep recruiting builders and mages and throw all your resources into your castle mainly.

it is totally unacceptable that a game that does not work is selected as botd!!! I am getting really fed up with kongregate's recent botd choices.

For those having the issue with the easy badge, just take a picture of the completed campaign mode and report the badge as missing. It will then be awarded to you by Kongregate since the description does state that campaign can be used to get it.

I understand the easy badge being broken for some people may be a bit frustrating, but also try to comment on the game itself! All the best comments are criticism about the badge.. I think the game is very nice! It's addicting to me and very well made, and the combat system is really cool. One broken badge won't bring down my experience.

@Robinsin, you can't save a deck unless you connect to multiplayer as a member. Guests can't save.

Is there a way you can count an opponent leaving as a loss for them, win for me? I've had some leave to avoid losing.

The ultimate final blow to defeating your opponent is using wain to not only build your castle to the max, but have his castle blown out completely. That is the feeling of true victory

Not only is this game boring and ugly, the description for the badge of the day is wrong, you need to win a multiplayer battle. 1 star and I'm out of here!

The ONLY way to win is build your castle while spamming thief. It's so OP that they can't do anything! Multiplayer is therefore broken. Who draws thief first? Balance this poor only gets 3 stars.
