The thing I don't understand, is why people would quit a game before it being done, you get 1 point if you lose. So it's a win/win situation either way.

I wish I could see what the *opponent's* cards do. He plays "magic protect", for instance, I see the little shield on top, and I have no idea what it is and no way of finding out during the match except by trial-and-very-unfortunate-error. It wasn't in the tutorial, clicking "card info" and then the card doesn't do anything, and mouseover/clicking on the icon doesn't tell me what it does. Sure, all the card descriptions are in "manage deck", but (for the first few matches) I can't remember everything by heart yet, and I can't visit that screen during the game. I know I'll learn everything in time, it's just that the game would be much friendlier to the novice if I could see what my opponent's card just did.

awesome game - granted there're some things castlewars 1 has over this, but the general awesome graphics are commendable and new cards add to the strategy (though it's a real bitch to be at the receiving end of the 2-for-1 thingy) 5/5. only major bugbear is the inability to log on as a member on multiplayer!

Very nice update. The graphics are fun. The new variety of cards is good to have. Unfortunately the status bar is a lot harder to read.

hey so this game doesn't work on kongregate but it does work on other websites...what does that mean? Anyways, I like the game but it would be nice if i could get it to load here.

After blocking mochiads.com and disable local storage I managed to replicate most of the problems reported and I believe most of em should now be fixed, however by blocking mochiads.com you won’t get any music in-game as its streamed from mochiads.com and by disabling local storage your progress won’t be saved nor will your decks or settings. A small note for those of you who block mochiads.com, If you ever go to ninjakiwi.com to play multi player you won’t be able to play as it loads multi-player from mochiads and it uses mochiGames accounts for login.

I wouldn't have thought this would be a good game to do a sequel to, but I was wrong! Good work!
However, here's my main problem:
-I spent all that time finishing the campaign to get cards for multiplayer, then when I decide to play against another human being I find out I have to go to NinjaKiwi's page.
-When I get to NinjaKiwi to play. . . All the cards I worked for are gone!
I understand exclusivity is lucrative, but that particular kind of treatment is unfair to us users.

I have played ORIGINAL castles & compared to this they are much more balanced. Thief is better because u gain back weapons. In original u can play against your friend behind 1 computer, also the castle animation is more surveyable when it goes above 50. U have overall clear view on recources.
In C2 is good animation, specialy when u bild up from a tiny shack to fort. I also like the animations of attacking cards (Dragon). Trojan horse & Curse are TOOO powerful here. Those sacrifice cards are just plain evil & frustrating (i hate them). It could be a nice game but is JUST NOT fun watching when i get pounded or killed in 1st turn, while u can just watch for couple turns to get some materials for a new worker. All this adds to 3/5.

If you're having problem loading the game or starting campains make sure your not blocking mochiads.com with some kind of adblocker as the game streams its background music from this domain.

Very good sequel, even though the joy of making a big castle is gone..But the campaign is good, and gets really challenging at hard

The idea is decent, and I really enjoyed it on easy and medium modes. Too bad 'hard' means give you no resources so you can't do anything while your opponent ravages you, seems to have better luck getting cards, and more than occasionally kills you off in the first or second turn. I enjoy a good challenge, but that's a slaughter. And if you have to exclusively depend on luck to even hold your own, it's not really fun, is it?

How about you group the icons at the top into different sections, so you know how much of one you have compared to how much you will make? Maybe give them different colours as well.

To append my last comment, becasue some people have problem on hard.
It is not too hard on hard, focus more on resource gathering and low resource cards, the "big" cards don't help you , keep it small and agile.

I've almost made the perfect custom deck... Still working on it though... It's a lot harder than I though it would be, but I realize now, to win, you really don't need to focus on the weapons and recruits, mostly mages and builders will do it for you.

Just wanted to say that I absolutely love the music (especially Track 3!!!). Any chance that you're offering the soundtrack outside of the game?
The gameplay is excellent as well. Keep up the good work!

This must be a bad joke.. the original idea for this game is by 3DO. Its name was Arcomage and was included in the Might and Magic series from MM7 to MM9 and already published as a standalone game because of its success.
This version is a really bad joke compared to the beauty of Arcomage..
Thumbs down.

Its not so fun when you aren't able to play a card and then you lose. Discard, discard, discard...(rinse and repeat)... you lose, thanks for playing!

This game on hard is pathetic. Yea, let's sit around for hours and hope LUCK prevails. Sorry, I enjoy a game where skill comes into play, not random luck. Is teh geh.

I'm sorry, but this game didn't improve at all from the 1st. The graphics might have been slightly worse, but at least game play wasn't broken by unbalanced AI; hard mode or not.

Hard badge aint that hard at all, just concentrate on building and defending and let him do the job with wasting his resources on killing, eventually he will lose everything and while you regain stuff you will easily rebuild and its a simple win. Recruit as much as you can, specially mages and builders.

Great game. Strange getting use to the new look. I hated it at first, because it's harder to read, but you get use to it. The graphics are really nice too, a definite improvement. Great job on this release, I really enjoyed the game (:

It's not bad, but I think the reward cards should be better like the first and second ones are ok but there should be a passive reward for beating the boss such as letting you chose a type of resource maker (builder, soldier, mage) to start with 1 extra, or 2 extra damage for each attack or somethin. I think that would help people beat the hard levels because right now, I'm really not that bad of a player but hard mode is too hard- the enemies have huge advantages. Oh and guys I found out that it works well if you only use one type of thing meaning you hve all brick stuff or all attack stuff. You'll need to pick a couple others to get 75 cards, but there are some good ones 2 get. Also, I'm kinda confused- How come some comments saying they liked the first one better are getting rted up and others are getting rated down?

Fun game, never played the first but I'm quite impressed with this installment. Its surprisingly addictive and requires a bit of strategy to win. Unfortunately, that brings me to my biggest problem with the game: the harder difficulty levels. When you provide the computer with high resource piles and a lot of powerful cards, it sometimes feels like luck is a driving factor rather than skill. You're a crippled antelope trying to fight off a lion in these scenarios, and it's painful to get mauled over and over again.
