Under rating threshold (show) Best way to win medium and hard campaign is to concentrate on building a 100 points castle. That means whenever the opponent invests in wall, magic defense, castle (unless he's getting close to 100) he's pretty much wasting his turn... also, in terms of mana, it's better to defend than to attack because you easily get 20 wall for 14 resources, attacks are more expensives. Click the + so more people see this comment.

Under rating threshold (show) Best way to win the campaign is having 5x sacrifice cards, mages, recruits and builders. You can play them at your first turn and then you both have only 1 builder and recruit. Only other thing you need is luck, cause it's hard to win if you die before your 2nd turn xd.

Under rating threshold (show) This is ridiculous, not only is hard mode cheap and completely luck based (lets see YOU recover from a curse first turn and t. horse second) but whenever i get close to winning the AI freezes and i cant win the match. There should be a way to force the AI to do something if it doesnt respond in the first 10s, like discard first card or something just so it moves, this is so irritating i cant get the badge because it refuses to let me win.

Under rating threshold (show) I think the layout of the resources bar is awful, having the number of builders etc.. in the same style as the amount of resources just makes it harder to pick out the right info quickly, the old layout was far more intuitive, if basic.

Under rating threshold (show) Yeah I finished hard only losing once (to a turn-2 trojan horse on the level where they start with 40 of each resource). Here's the trick: NO ATTACK CARDS IN YOUR DECK. I built a 75 card deck with the only card using the attack symbol being 5 thieves (awesome card). No recruits, no nothing. Just focus on building and magic. Most of my games were won by starving out the computer. I would sacrifice mages and builders as soon as possible to keep them at 1 of each (ignore attacking cards). Then resource-starve them. As soon as they get near 8 of bricks or magic, either use crush crystals, crush bricks, or thief. My specific deck: 5 thieves; 5 mage; 5 pixies; 5 add weapons; 5 add crystals; 5 add bricks; 5 remove crystals; 5 remove bricks; 5 builders; 5 taverns; 5 fences; 5 large walls; 4 wains; 5 reverses; 3 sacrifice mage; 3 sacrifice builder. GG computer.

Under rating threshold (show) Clunky and lack of a good overwiev. Lots of easy-to-fix problems though; - Color the resource symbols and color the whole card instead of just the frame. - Bigger numbers on cards and on the resource bar. - Move the resource bar bellow the castle graphics, above the cards. So you don't have to look up and down the screen all the time. - Get rid of the action function, causes a lot of unnecessary clicking. Instead you could do left-click to cast, right-click to discard and hold mouse over to get info. - Write the info statements shorter, only tell what the card does. Otherwise a great game, liked the first one better though.

Under rating threshold (show) Because i see plenty of complaints about the difficulty of the hard campaign, here is the deck i used. all basic cards, and i lost 1 time throughout the campaign. focus on burning cards to get your soldiers, mages, and builders out even if they keep getting killed until you have about 4 of each. save all bricks if you can to play a school maybe 2 but keep above 30 castle to prevent trojan horses for 1-hitting. the enemy generally doesnt build much and kills as many of their builders as they play so once you have more builders then they do you can play a few pixies/tavern/babylon and the game is done. thief x5 recruit x5 guards x5 -- mage x5 pixies x5 magic wall x3 magic defence x5 add crystals x5 add bricks x5 all crystals x5 -- builder x5 tavern x5 babylon x3 school x3 all bricks x5 large wall x2 reverse x5

Under rating threshold (show) An advantage of using a Magic Weapons + Trojan Horse deck over a Castle to 100 deck is that you win or lose earlier on, so you don't waste as much time getting your castle to 75 or whatever just to get screwed over by the AI later on. With both decks you should be restarting first turn if your starting hand sucks or in the first few turns if AI plays a killer card, but a Trojan Horse win is just faster than Castle to 100...you only need 15 Brick + 20 Weapons + 15 Crystals for the whole combo...often you won't even want to play Builders/Knights/Mage cards if you are close to getting the combo.

Under rating threshold (show) I have to say, I loved the first game. This game isn't necessarily better, but it's not really worse either. The improvements include the battle animations (the only thing I considered missing from the first game) and online multiplayer, something I missed completely. Also, the addition of the campaigns increases its longevity. However, some things that made the first game the simple pleasure it was have been changed. For example, your castle doesn't visually grow nearly enough. It still looks more or less the same even when you hit 100, but the downgrade to the village for really low amounts is brilliant and makes me feel powerful when it happens to the opponent. Also, the resources/health interface is a lot more confusing than it was in the first game too. I find myself looking at it for up to a minute trying to figure out how much I have of what, which I believe is too long. If you fix these minor niggles, this is easily one of the best, funnest games on Kongregate. ~Falkorr.

Under rating threshold (show) I think the reason morkulev doesn't want to give people a win if the opponent quits is because he might not be able to detect when someone disconnects from the net by accident or by choice. It would be unfair to award a win to someone who discconnects by accident if they were not in a losing position. All he can do is tell players what another player's reputation (see the white flags) is as far as quitting is concerned and let you decide if you want to play them based on their past (alleged) indiscretions.

Under rating threshold (show) You can never win in multiplayer because people bail. You can never win in single player because the computer freezes on its turn half the time when it knows it's lost. You can never win in hard mode because half the time the computer instakills you. What a ridiculous game, to be entirely based on luck.

Under rating threshold (show) While this looks better and has campaign, it's not as playable, therefore, not as fun. The newly added cards are brutaly unfair on harder levels where the comp has far superior resources. I tweaked my deck quite alot and while I can beat the hard levels it is dependant on a lucky draw from the deck. I had to quit and restart the level till I got the cards I wanted and even then the computer often got lucky and took me down with one card, Curse, Trojan, early Theft. It's easier to win on defence, hitting the 100 mark. But thats not as fun as crushing your foes castle, is it? Half way through hard I've given up and decided to rant instead. Long awaited let down that can be easily adjusted to be a 5/5 for me, for now it's a charitable 3/5.

Under rating threshold (show) I don't usually comment on games, but this is one is horrifically unbalanced on hard. Based entirely on luck. To win you need a long-term strategy that can be entirely thwarted in one turn by the enemy. Very hard to build up resources. Also, the creator doesn't seem to care to address the problems with multiplayer drop-outs. Hard to rate this above a 2 as it has stepped backwards from the first game in all but graphics.
