How to Play
Mouse only. No keyboard is needed.
On Level Select, click the neighboring state you wish to conquer. You cannot choose states that are currently not adjacent to Qin or other conquered states.
Gameplay controls. Click and Drag your units on the highlighted hex tiles. Highlighted Tiles are indicated by a Green Outline. Only one unit may be placed on a tile at a time. Once units are deployed, the battle begins.
Click on the player unit you wish to move. The highlight hexes are where you can move and the highlighted red hexes are where the unit can attack relative to its current position. There is no repeat in unit action so think before you move. Once you are satisfied with the unit's position, end the Turn for the AI to move. The AI will only move towards units that are within their range of attack; they will not be provoked otherwise. The game ends if all your units are defeated and the level is cleared if the villages/bases are destroyed/conquered. Conquer all states in China to complete the game.

Oh, a couple more things,
Again, this game isn't bad. But you also might want to describe the different terrains. Maybe add a cost for each unit and a prize for each unit or town killed. Also an end game scenario. Is it possible to completely wipe out the enemy or is the last province no conquerable?

This game is okay. It could use a lot of improvements but it's on the right track.
Definitely some more instructions, preferably some in-game ones. A description of each unit and what they can do would also be nice.

I like this game! There should be a check to see if the player has placed their units before selecting "start." Would also like to see the AI player's moves. Occasional bug with enemy units moving off the map where they can't be attacked. For a 3-week project this is amazing!

@Quagland: Thanks for your feedback. If we do revisit this short game, we will take it into account. To answer your question about the last province: to begin conquest of a city-state, you must share a border with it. So to attack Yan, you must first attack Zhao. The endgame would be an entirely blue map. But otherwise, yes, we never did code any official acknowledgement of total conquest other than the entire map being blued out.
