Under rating threshold (show) Will we be given some way to link our Kong information for this game to its Facebook counterpart? Some of us have spent good money on buying cards for this - I'm not in for very much, relatively speaking, but I'm sure there are others who have spent a ton over time.

Under rating threshold (show) That's a bullshit response from making fun. Clash is getting the axe specifically BECAUSE it wasn't actively developed and updated. I've been playing it for 2 years and it's been the same crap with 2 different publishers

Under rating threshold (show) If you're closing the game anyway, why not just make all cards/packs/premium levels purchasable with in-game money, as well as unlocking the premium missions (with the missions perhaps costing energy as normal), and turn this into a standalone single-player game (removing the competitive features if that's part of your expenses)? At least then you could use it to promote whatever your next game is. Most Kong games aren't costing their developers money AFAIK, so that would be one way to eliminate costs while still maintaining brand recognition and loyalty. I've got a fair bit of experience developing console games, and maybe it's a very different marketing strategy on Kong, but something tells me it's not. Give people something for free, then see if they come back for your next (presumably microtransaction-based) title.

CLASH uses the same codebase for Kong and Facebook. Since the game is only being taken off of Kong, making everything free would not work. In regards to games on Kong not costing money, any online game developer incurs server costs.

Even when it was being actively developed (and updated), the game wasn't growing fast enough to support it's cost. We really love making games, so decisions like this one are difficult to make :(

Under rating threshold (show) I don't know if you have tournaments designed yet, but something you can consider is to make a tournament for horrible decks. You win by getting to zero life first. This is pghjesters idea, not mine, but I did want to clue you into this strange metagame that has arisen.

Gameplay and loading issues are often times caused by browser settings or related problems. Following these steps may help resolve the issue: 1) Make sure your browser is up to date or try a different browser (Google Chrome, Internet Explorer and Firefox are the most compatible). 2) If you are using firewall software, make sure your browser is listed as an accepted program. Failing to do this will cause the game to load very slowly or not load at all. 3) Make sure your Flash is up to date (http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/). 4) Clear your browser cache (http://www.wikihow.com/Clear-Your-Browser's-Cache). 5) Clear your Flash cache (http://www.simplehelp.net/2010/09/16/how-to-delete-your-flash-cache/). If you are using Chrome, then this can be done by making sure the "Delete cookies and other site and plug-in data" is selected when you clear your browser cache. 6) Restart your browser.

Under rating threshold (show) Bug - I don't know where to post it on the forum, but I had to quit a PVP game because the "waiting for opponent" screen never went away, even though I could talk to the person I was playing against, hear everything happening, and could actually see the very edge of the attack button (and use it too).

Once you've finished all of the missions and collected all of the rewards, it will go to 100% after a few minutes.

Under rating threshold (show) Regarding the ironclads - a historical error is a different thing than the intentional suspension of disbelief required by a superhero story. The former is unintentional (or at least hopefully is), and makes the writing look sloppy, while the latter is no problem at all, because of the nature of the story, and what we expect from such a story. If you use a name of a vessel taken from history, then that vessel should not, at least drastically, differ from what that vessel actually was like. Otherwise, what's the point of using the name?

Perhaps you misread. Judge Grudge's Old Ironclad is referred to as a ship, a boat and a battleship, but never a submarine. However, the brief for the last mission in the sequence (Grudgement Day Pt. 4) mentions Dr. Leer's submarine: "You ring General, but before you can tell him about Leer, a submarine surfaces next to Grudge's Ironclad."
