Great game. Just have a problem with the song finishing and changing to the next one. When a song finishes, it just repeats itself regardless of whether or not repeat is on.

I'd like to thank all of the fans who have supported me in the recent controversy regarding MusicQuest Pro not being front paged. Although I still firmly believe that what we were arguing was correct, I have also realized that what I did was unprofessional and foolish. I should have known that asking my fans to support me in this way would only result in an unproductive flame war. I can't say that I know what the future of MusicQuest is, or where it will go from here, but one thing I'm sure of; this is not the end of MusicQuest.

I was a little worried when you didn't have Ska as a genre, but once I looked up Reel Big Fish I was happy to see so many results.

Sometimes the player just plays the same song over again even though I don't have repeat on. It made me fail an epic quest. Other than that this is really good. 4/5

@Blitz: I also use chrome and sometimes one song repeats and sometimes everything works fine. Must be a bug. When I choose genre/ year it is ok, when I filter songs or go for "similar" it doeas not work.

I think there might be a play count glitch: I listened to a given band only one time, and my "most listened band" stat says "2 listens"

Hi there master machines. I made a comment about the quest not detecting the fact that it is being completed (dont know how to put that so it doesn't sound confusing...). You responded asking if I was sure it was the right song. Don't mean to make this into a forum, but if its a bug then everyone who loves this game as much as I do should know.
The answer is yes, it was the right song. I know this because I was trying not to use the quicksearch to find artists, and I resorted to this in order to find this artist (I'd never heard of them before...) and even after playing a bunch of different songs by them and not seeing progress, and finally losing my streak as the timer ran out, I decided to let you know. Its not a huge deal really, its just a bummer to lose a streak like that ;)

You used the quick search? I think I know what is going on then, you probably typed it in with a lowercase first letter instead of an uppercase first letter. Obviously that shouldn't matter, so I'll fix that asap.

@deli_conker: But isn't that YouTube's problem? The videos are there, in public, and MusicQuest just streams them. That would make as much sense as suing the company that made your browser for storing the data on your computer.

I just came across the weirdest bug... my xp stopped going into my xp. That is, the "+1xp" flies across the gamescreen, passing the xp bar, and my xp doesn't go up. This happened when I tried to delete the song playing, which was the only one on the list. Also, Main Menu is empty.

This game is fantastic. It would be really awesome though if you included a volume slider instead of just mute on/off. Then I could turn this down a bit and head off to Battlefield 3 for the best of both worlds.

Is it supposed to be possible to 'view a bio for ten seconds' multiple times during the same song in order to get more experience? It feels like I'm cheating.

Nothing I can currently due to fix the current issue. Sharendipity has not renewed their subscription for their server, hopefully it's not permanent... :(

The playlist that formed for the tag "instrumental" put a song called "First Breath After Coma" right after a song called "Coma". These two songs are from different artists that probably have nothing to do with each other (I don't even know if their music generally belongs in the same genre). My conclusion is that MusicQuest Pro is becoming a sentient entity.

I've seen the other reviews and comments, and it looks like a rather good game... However, until I can actually get past this white screen, I'm afraid I'll be rating a 1/5
I'm still looking into the long term performance problems. If you are still getting alot of lag after playing for an extended period of time, then for now just save your playlist then refresh the page.

Gray loading screen with rotating circle for a minute, then "a security error is preventing the application from communicating with the Sharendipity server". And when I press Ok - white screen and nothing happens.
