You should seriously consider making some sort of iphone app if that's within your means... I would definitely pay money to have something like this where I could just type in some artists and hit 'find similar artists' and find new music while I'm on the go... Perhaps such a thing exists but if so then I am unaware of it.

Love the program & really does deserve to be on the frontpage, though only issue I'm having which I can't pinpoint is that the songs will repeat continually, no matter if repeat is on or off. I wasn't sure if it's just isolated to me or particular thing I'm doing to cause it. I am using Chrome with the update to flash on it, in case that's any help.
No, I'll look into it, thanks. EDIT: Should be fixed now, but only for people who are just starting the game (the stats got saved already for you, nothing I can do at this point).

Only big flaw, is that it needs a much etter search feature. I often type the name of one song, and get it from a different band. Or, a different version of the song, if I type the name of the band as well.

@Master Machines: Dude, this is epic. If you mount this on a high speed VPS and add some nice artwork you could release this as an app/site. The high speed VPS would be incredible since people with low internet speed don't have to wait as usual for videos to load. This would get you lots more people. Great work, I wanna see this getting better each and every time! 5/5

Small mistake: "Vivaldi" and "Antonio Vivaldi" caount as different artists for some reason. Though I don't know if it can be fixed since this is probably YouTube's fault.

This is so freaking wonderful. Looks a bit basic and there are some clashing and annoying neon green colors, but overall this is very useful and awesome. Please make it possible for me to just have this on my desktop k thanks.

one more idea is put in an achievement listing like,
Achieve levels 1,10,25,50,100 and so on
listen to your first song without skipping
listen to 100,250,500,1000 songs(without skipping)
master all skills
Complete Quests
Complete Quests in chains
Put in a randomly generated Daily Challnge Achievement
like having to find a specific song or something dont give some obvious hint
put some other achievement you want in there aswell

This is much better than youtube because I don't have to continue to go to youtube to replay a song if i want to listen to it on repeat or it will just change anyway 5/5 definitely! Great game :)

Someone probably already said this but this game is awesomes and I was wondering if you could add a rating system for the songs that you listen to or something that shows you if you have listened to the song before. Thanks. Keep up the great work!! Appreciate it.

If I could make one suggestion, I would have to ask for the ability to enable/disable video. I've usually got a very slow internet connection, and I would be able to use this without the lag from the video.

This is the sort of app that makes people who argue "not legal" look dumb. In the first 20 mins of playing this I bought three mp3 tracks from artists at Amazon - artists I'd not heard before. This app is a genius idea.

Better than the original MusicQuest: smoother plataform and some interesting new options. The experience bar is a must!

This totally helps me save time searching for Dubstep... who needs porn these days when you have Dubstep on Kongregate, all jokes aside you actually have amazed me with this music player. i thought it was a simple player not much depth in it, then you blew my mind in several different ways. thanks Master Machine and keep up the good work.
P.s I'm going to yell some people until this becomes a front page game ;)

I think Kongregate made right strategic decision to not post this on the frontpage.
This app/game would attract too much attention, especially unwanted attention from online companies.
They would probably want to remove this app & all its youtube links, ruining the game.
Its a good decision to keep this game in a low profile so that it will only be enjoyed by those who truly want to listen to music.
MusicQuest is essentially no different than a web browser that takes you to different youtube videos, suing me or Kongregate would be like suing Mozilla because Firefox takes you to different youtube pages.

The way current quests work (30 seconds of one song, then 30 seconds of another) is distracting. I'd rather listen to a whole song and get my next quest when the song is over. Basically my problem is that many songs last more than 5 minutes (quest completion time) so if I don't want to lose my streak I have to interrupt the song I'm listening to (or skip ahead). Maybe you can adjust quest completion time according to the length of the song playing when the quest is given?
