in order to research and build items, you have to remember the exact placement of each item, this being the case, cant you put the picture order in the build area once you discover the recipe, instead of just the amount of material?

Good game design is about letting the player do the fun bits and not making them do the boring bits. So why do I have to stand around holding down space to recharge my energy?

Man I REALLY want to love this game. Far as I can tell all that's stopping me is the atrocious framerate (really???) and the choppy controls... if movement was smoother and the game ran quicker this would be right up my alley...

would be better if the materials were more abundant, so that i don't have to backtrack to the base every minute to sell 3 rocks and recharge, boing boing boing boing boing boing... besides that no complaints. thanks.

guys, i like the game BUT, im starting to get tierd and pissed. why can i not build ANYTHING? i got the recipie (spelling?) for an example i wanna build the teleport and i got the mats, i press build window and select portal and the green area comes around me and i press build, nothing happends. is it bugged? i havnt seen ANY movies on youtube where the players is building 2. its bugged right? tried with firefox and chrome, same shiet

It doesn't really seem to be clear how to actually build or research things. I place the items in the research area and have enough money, but the button is greyed out. On the build screen, the green area is cleared out and I have the materials, but the build button does nothing. Am I just missing something simple?

good game, needs arrow keys for controls, for those who want to know what stone wall is for, think minecraft, decoration...

what is the point of "CLOSING UNUSED PATHS" there are no hostiles on the map ?_? upgrades quickly get overpriced as there are mostly 5 coin resources scattered far away, game is rather boring than fun ... maybe creators should think of an IDLE version

Boring, boring. The controls are ill-conceived, the map is void ... See Gleam or Utopian Mining for what a mining game is supposed to look like!

Classic case of screwed up fundamental game mechanics. I enjoy a good upgrade-focused grinding game. This is definitely not it. Everything is abysmally slow. Any loot you manage to collect you then sell for chump change and can always barely afford a next, slightly better, upgrade after hours of grinding. And by that, I do not mean "quality fun fun gaming time". No.All you'll be doing is spending 3/4 of your time going freakin' back and forth. This had potential but sadly is a very repetitive, sad, boring mess of a game. Don't waste your time with this crap. You've been warned.

Lag makes the pacing back and forth pretty painful. If there isn't a "Build teleport" option - there should be! And if there is, it should be available a lot sooner. Great game in concept though!

It has the elements of fun but its missing something. Needs more content I think and a few more actors for the digger.

To any who enjoy this game, I highly recommend the Xbox indie game, "Miner Dig Deep". MDD is much better than this. The biggest difference is that in MDD the act of digging is interesting and fraught with hazard. It's not boring like this.

to me the only flaw is that whenever you move horizontal it changes your vertical movement by moving you to the left several pixels

Cave Explorer - Extreme grinding redefined! Bad game designer, no twinkie! http://www.designersnotebook.com/Columns/103_Bad_Game_Designer_X/grinding103_bad_game_designer_x.htm

Not bad, but a couple little things here and there. It should save our options settings between sessions (I have to reset from wasd to arrow keys EVERY time I load the game, as well as turn the music off). Also it IS really annoying when the digger gets offset (it only seemed to do so on the vertical paths, not the horizontal)
