Interesting... for the sake of fun I'd like to be able to simply 'return to base' without having to manually go all the freakin' way back.

Ok, a few of notes for you all:
1. This is a long game with no apparent ending. It's basically a time waster. I've mined and covered my entire map and have found no Demon Door. I've contacted the dev to see if this was on purpose.
2. As far as I can tell, the maps are randomly generated.
3. The final 02 compressor upgrade costs 10,000 coins, it just doesn't show up on the button.
4. One-use portals are extremely useful when tunneling, no more driving back to base. Just remember to keep enough resources so you have enough to make one, eg: 10 rock and 10 metal.
5. You can turn the annoying music off. When you load the game, click options and turn the music down by dragging the slider. The music will continue to play until you click Start or Continue. Then sweet sweet silence. You will have to do this each time you load the game up however, as it doesn't remember your settings.

So much digging for so little profit and then I have to go AAAAAAALLLLLL the way back to base? And just as I saw some diamonds I went "too deep" and have to find $500 worth of ore just to go get the good stuff? Good premise, but seriously overbalanced towards the painfully tedious.

Just compressing the apparent gripes into one post:
- The maps, game and discovered, utilize extremely long String variables in the .sol file that are most likely at least a million characters each. I don't know if that has to do with the lagging, but it seems suspicious.
- The fuel rate is abysmal considering how far apart materials usually are.
- The above amplifies the tenacity it takes to get the 100 Rocks (80 with the early Diamond) needed to dig any deeper.
- There seems to be some sort of problem with turning that can cause the driller's graphic to move a pixel to the left or rarely right outside of where it is physically. Doesn't seem like much at first, but is quite noticeable after it adds up. Warping re-aligns the driller.
I really wanted to like this game, but unfortunately I cannot.

A good time waster, but MAN do you have to love grinding to really enjoy the game. The resources are incredibly far apart and worth barely anything, meaning it takes several trips for even the first purchases. The fuel rate is terrible, making the trips to and from even more annoying, especially once you've started branching out. I highly advise using the one-trip portals if you have them.

Going back the entire way, or using up a whopping 3 metal (not the easiest for beginners to get) to go back to base makes the game not very exciting 2/5

Build by clicking with your mouse in the green square. The research button is greyed out as you've already found the blueprint for the item. Upgrade build area to build further out.

Can you put the nx8 link picture somewhere else, or remove it (there's already a link in the garage and statistics menus), please? Wanting to advertise another game site is fine, but having that kid stare at me constantly while playing; is very annoying.

note to all: to use a teleporter you have to hold down the action key, just like you do to recharge. To build, you have to have the green area around your miner, if it is red, then you need to upgrade your build area. For the O2 Tank: buy it as soon as you can, but also get the engine upgrades, it makes for faster traveling, and once you are past the first wall, you can mine metal like there's no tomorrow and that will get you all you need 'til the end.
To Developer: other than the difficulty in finding the "demon door", the game is actually pretty awesome. Long, but awesome. I won't lie, I did get pulled in because of the map size.

A nice idea and a nice start, but I felt I should have been getting paid for the time I was spending without any tangible rewards. For how rough it was to dig down, I didn't feel that the things I was digging for were worth what I putting into it. I also Don't know of any benefit to building walls if you don't need shelter or gain any benefit by it. It would be cool if the benefits came from constructing things with your resources, but I didn't understand the wall structures other than distinguishing the area you like from everything else. A great start, I'd say.

Two complaints. 1) The unit of measurement. The miner is only one square foot. 2) As I play, the miner slowly moves to the right, so it is half into the other column after about an hour of play. Still a graet game, just things like that annoy me.

alright, so I've played through, bought all the upgrades, got all the treasures, uncovered the whole map, and still can't seem to find or figure out where to locate the "demon door". Developer: a hint would be greatly appreciated, or is the "demon door" just code for saying "Congratulations, look at all the treasure you just found. Game Over."? In the beginning it says the "demon door" is at the end of the cave. Been all over the end, where is it?

I hope some one actually reads this, worth a try at least. Mostly because I could really like this game, but the way it is right now it is a terrible grind for little reward. I like that the map is enormous, I want to explore all of it. (If you didnt know there are 4!! quadrants in the map). However some tweaking is necessary, as a minimum upgrades should be easier to get, and perhaps more types of ore. Another great feature would be increasing the visibility radius of the miner. Anything that would make you feel like it is worth it.

I must agree with uberpenguin... I know that any game I've ever written, the first step I take before publishing is playing the game myself. This game, AWESOME concept indeed... however when you spend 80+% of your time travelling (akin to everquest almost!) and can hardly find materials or treasure to start out, it's a major time killer. Then the lack of documentation doesn't help either! I still don't know why I can't build the teleporter (I've tried at 50m, still can't build it despite having the resources required)... who cares about the guy staring at me, or the logo... who cares if someone used the logo from the Bulls? Like they don't have enough money, or is it because this game is profiting SOOO much from the logo use? pfft... rated 5/5 and faved in the first 5 mins... after 30 minutes of hair pulling frustration, rated 2/5 and unfav'ed... sorry

6. To build, click the build menu, then click the item you wish to build. It will tell you the resources you need to build it. If you have everything, and you are in the build area that you've bought, you should have a green box around your miner. Click on the mined ground around your miner and it will build your item.
7. If you cannot find a path through a rock wall, blow it up using a dynamite or C4 charge if you have found those blueprints.
8. To use a teleport, park your miner over the teleport and hold down the action button, E.
All in all, not too bad of a game, could use some clearer instructions from the dev. Does take hours to finish mining entire map. Kind of exciting to find an explore area that is almost completely walled off, maze like with treasures to find.

dear GOD man put in more minerals, or increase the amount of the higher-valued things the deeper you go
it's incredibly unsatisfying to buy another compressor upgrade just to find yet more fields of extremely scattered ore and I'm averaging a couple hundred per trip max
holy crap
Just so this ain't all hate, this is a pretty solid basic mining game. Good job and keep at it :)

pixel alignment and collision detection are way off.where my drill and where it shows me drilling are 2 entirely different thing looks promising but too many bugs. 2/5 if fixed could be 4/5

500 $ for the first o2 compressor is way to expensive :X
it takes out the fun in the first minutes.
I had to farm tons of rocks to get the 500 $
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
not sure if its just me, but my drill thingy isent were it actually looks it is, like it is physically a bit to the right of the image, im a square left vissually and i i have hit the wall 2 blocks to my right, this is getting continuingly worse as i play and cannot play this more than 15 minutes at a time before refreshing the page

You don't need a massive logo to attract people to your games, you need good games. Think if Capcom, Konami, or Blizzard started forcing their logo in your fave during hours of starring at a brown empty map. I know I'd stop playing their games. that is all.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Ya know, I think the ability to actually recharge your driller without having to go to a certain, unmovable area would be more important that building when there's no point in building.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
This would be a great game if it didn't have the whole fuel and recharge thing going on. It takes way too long to dig 30 blocks and then have to drive all the way back and hold a button to recharge and do it all over again. Too time consuming and not enough fun to make it worth it.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Do not change the action button to the space key, you will not be able to recharge your fuel. The player should not be allowed to do this.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
in order to research and build items, you have to remember the exact placement of each item, this being the case, cant you put the picture order in the build area once you discover the recipe, instead of just the amount of material?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Good game design is about letting the player do the fun bits and not making them do the boring bits. So why do I have to stand around holding down space to recharge my energy?
