Stay away, this game will hurt you. I wanted to love it. Overhead Motherlode? Ok, I'll bite. But no, it is a joyless slog. Tedious, repetitive, dull, flavorless. Hour after hour of driving back and forth for the occasional expensive upgrade or completely undescribed, benefitless treasure. Would more than two sentences of story kill you, dev? How about even a slight deepening of gameplay as you progress? What is the point of a one-time teleporter when you can't find enough material per loooong trip away from base to justify building one? And the "music" that plays every time the game loads, ulch. I usually don't award 1 star unless a game is severely bugged, but you earned it.

Classic case of screwed up fundamental game mechanics. I enjoy a good upgrade-focused grinding game. This is definitely not it. Everything is abysmally slow. Any loot you manage to collect you then sell for chump change and can always barely afford a next, slightly better, upgrade after hours of grinding. And by that, I do not mean "quality fun fun gaming time". No.All you'll be doing is spending 3/4 of your time going freakin' back and forth. This had potential but sadly is a very repetitive, sad, boring mess of a game. Don't waste your time with this crap. You've been warned.

Lag makes the pacing back and forth pretty painful. If there isn't a "Build teleport" option - there should be! And if there is, it should be available a lot sooner. Great game in concept though!

So much digging for so little profit and then I have to go AAAAAAALLLLLL the way back to base? And just as I saw some diamonds I went "too deep" and have to find $500 worth of ore just to go get the good stuff? Good premise, but seriously overbalanced towards the painfully tedious.

Going back the entire way, or using up a whopping 3 metal (not the easiest for beginners to get) to go back to base makes the game not very exciting 2/5

bug:i randomly got 9 permenent rocks that i can sell 1000000000000 times but i mined 1 rock and i got 2 rocks and lost the other 9.

is it just me or does the digger guy seem to go off the path if you dig too far to the right or left or whatever (I have no idea what causes it -_- *SIGH*)

if you hide the map in the top right corner and play the game, the map will not show where you have been when you press the map button at bottom of the game. so the only way the keep the big map updated is to keep the little map showing

would be better if the materials were more abundant, so that i don't have to backtrack to the base every minute to sell 3 rocks and recharge, boing boing boing boing boing boing... besides that no complaints. thanks.

Well it used to work but now every time i try to recharge my energy it just opens the stupid garage over and over. too bad i liked this game. Now ill never play it again.

Quitting. I built a portal right next to the base, and it won't work. If anyone can tell me what i did wrong? Also if i need to rebuild elsewhere, it's not worth it. Took me ages to get enough metal to build that

as with most games on Kong, this game is meant to WASTE time, sorry if you entitled lazy brats can't respect or enjoy that. SETTINGS is useful in ANY game you play, instead wanting directions on how to do everything printed in a cheat log for you, try PLAYING the game. Once again if you are lazy or looking for an easy game easily beatable go play something else.
I like this game as an 8 bit throwback to the gaming days of yore.

This would be a great game if it didn't have the whole fuel and recharge thing going on. It takes way too long to dig 30 blocks and then have to drive all the way back and hold a button to recharge and do it all over again. Too time consuming and not enough fun to make it worth it.

Ya know, I think the ability to actually recharge your driller without having to go to a certain, unmovable area would be more important that building when there's no point in building.

Action button=E, The game was so cryptic about this that i gave it 1/5 instantly. Please include control-info in the game.

I really want to like this game, but a game where the vast majority of my time is retracing my own steps, is not particularly fun. I'm not sure if I would suggest shrinking the world, populating it with more ores etc or making earlier access to multiple use teleporters. I assume they're are in the game, but I haven't gotten anywhere near that, and frankly may stop playing long before I do. I can only imagine how bored the miner must be, driving endlessly back and forth through a featureless void of his own creation... If I was him, I would find a new job (which is what this 'game' is starting to feel like) :(

no auto save wtf...and how can a 16bit game have lag o__o
I'm giving this a 5 because there's not enough of these digger games around, but you have some serious design flaws dude

I hope some one actually reads this, worth a try at least. Mostly because I could really like this game, but the way it is right now it is a terrible grind for little reward. I like that the map is enormous, I want to explore all of it. (If you didnt know there are 4!! quadrants in the map). However some tweaking is necessary, as a minimum upgrades should be easier to get, and perhaps more types of ore. Another great feature would be increasing the visibility radius of the miner. Anything that would make you feel like it is worth it.

Got the teleporter to work. ONCE. Otherwise I've not been able to build anything. Either instructions are unclear, or there are bugs.
