not sure if its just me, but my drill thingy isent were it actually looks it is, like it is physically a bit to the right of the image, im a square left vissually and i i have hit the wall 2 blocks to my right, this is getting continuingly worse as i play and cannot play this more than 15 minutes at a time before refreshing the page

Two complaints. 1) The unit of measurement. The miner is only one square foot. 2) As I play, the miner slowly moves to the right, so it is half into the other column after about an hour of play. Still a graet game, just things like that annoy me.

To any who enjoy this game, I highly recommend the Xbox indie game, "Miner Dig Deep". MDD is much better than this. The biggest difference is that in MDD the act of digging is interesting and fraught with hazard. It's not boring like this.

I must agree with uberpenguin... I know that any game I've ever written, the first step I take before publishing is playing the game myself. This game, AWESOME concept indeed... however when you spend 80+% of your time travelling (akin to everquest almost!) and can hardly find materials or treasure to start out, it's a major time killer. Then the lack of documentation doesn't help either! I still don't know why I can't build the teleporter (I've tried at 50m, still can't build it despite having the resources required)... who cares about the guy staring at me, or the logo... who cares if someone used the logo from the Bulls? Like they don't have enough money, or is it because this game is profiting SOOO much from the logo use? pfft... rated 5/5 and faved in the first 5 mins... after 30 minutes of hair pulling frustration, rated 2/5 and unfav'ed... sorry

to me the only flaw is that whenever you move horizontal it changes your vertical movement by moving you to the left several pixels

Man I REALLY want to love this game. Far as I can tell all that's stopping me is the atrocious framerate (really???) and the choppy controls... if movement was smoother and the game ran quicker this would be right up my alley...

Man, I always hate to see a game like this. Everything looks like it's in place to be good, and the idea is sound and w/e...and then sees developer shooting himself in the foot through implementing obviously poorly conceived features again, and again, and again, until it gets to the point in which you realize that he/she completely butchered the idea. We had a good idea here, but between spending 80% of the time running back to the base, and related to that the absurdly low amount you can actually dig at a time, and beginning upgrades costing way too much to even get off the ground (I mean, I need an O2 compressor to go any further, but that costs 500 gold. That's 100 rocks, and rocks are all you're gonna find without that O2 compressor)...Like, it's astonishing to me that a developer could create a whole game and never once sit and actually think "Gee, are the things I'm making people do actually contributing to the game? Or are they just going to frustrate people?"

If that kid doesn't get that god damn controller out of my face, pretty soon I'm going to take it. Then I'm going to shove it where the sun don't shine...I uh...I mean as in where his sun doesn't shine, not mine. I'm not into that sort of thing...

Wow, it's phenomenal how badly coded this game is. I never thought I'd see the day an 8bit game on the lowest settings with music and fx turned off made the framerate chug on a modern computer.

Controls are unresponsive to digging, often forcing you to come around at a block from a different side to dig it, even if it's just plain dirt. Really badly done.

It looks like two treasures are surrounded by the undrillable stone. So I guess unless an upgrade allows me to break it, winning is impossible.

Cave Explorer - Extreme grinding redefined! Bad game designer, no twinkie! http://www.designersnotebook.com/Columns/103_Bad_Game_Designer_X/grinding103_bad_game_designer_x.htm

Not bad, but a couple little things here and there. It should save our options settings between sessions (I have to reset from wasd to arrow keys EVERY time I load the game, as well as turn the music off). Also it IS really annoying when the digger gets offset (it only seemed to do so on the vertical paths, not the horizontal)

Interesting... for the sake of fun I'd like to be able to simply 'return to base' without having to manually go all the freakin' way back.

lol i had 12 rock and when i was going to sell it i didnt lose the rock so i was able to resell it till i had OVAR 9000!

500 $ for the first o2 compressor is way to expensive :X
it takes out the fun in the first minutes.
I had to farm tons of rocks to get the 500 $

What is the point of a 'save game' button (that tells you "game saved!") if when you come back to continue your game your only option is to hit "new game" and lose all of your work?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I am getting lag in the game every time I move. Also, I have to have to mini map open for it to show as explored territory on the main map. I get even more lag if I have the mini map open, so it is a give and take situation. I imagine it is probably my computer that is the problem. It is a great game, just takes me longer to get anywhere.
