Wait.... I got to the end... and... wait, what? ... I'mma have to see if I just missed something, but if that's the end... what?

Overall, very fun, challenging game. One suggestion, though: Quest markers over NPCs. Please. I hate searching for the NPC I'm supposed to be turning in to.

I gave this game a 5/5... then I kept playing and its just button mashing and positioning yourself to not get hit by projectiles... 1/5 for being just horrible after 20 minutes

Ok nevermind..now the game sucks. These thieves are so unfair. You have to be right in the way of them to hit them but then they shoot those damn arrows at you which do a ton of damage and can't be avoided. Plus they gang up on you and take forever to kill...this is horrible.

Part 2/2 Attack speed on the whole is rather useless considering monsters have a hit-cooldown. You are unable to harm them immediately after an attack, so even if you can attack faster, it doesn't matter due to the cooldown, so weapons like daggers would be rather pointless (in my opinion) unless you expect to miss a lot while flailing and wanna make sure you hit. Fourthly, the exp stat doesn't seem to boost exp much, if at all. I put a single point of exp, and while I admit I wasn't expect much of a difference, I was expecting at least AN extra xp or something per "slime" (octorok). This is what I have gathered from initial play.

Alright, so, here is my initial analysis of this game: Part 1/1 Firstly, like the others, the keyboard just cannot keep up! screen panning is PAINFULLY slow many times, decent other times. Swinging and movement mirrors this. Second, the Strength stat is COMPLETELY USELESS! I have poured points into it (so far +4 worth, total 8), and it isn't making any dent in my damage. I am not sure if your version of a str stat is that it increases odds of higher damage on dmg range or if it fully adds more damage to the melee, but if it is the latter, it is doing NOTHING. Thirdly, you have a dex stat, but one would expect dex to increase (even slightly, +1 per stat) your attack speed. If you use it a lot you should be able to flail super fast.

Wow...I'm actually amazed at how much hate this is getting. It's because once one person started hating it..the bandwagon came rolling by. Since when is a game being like LOZ a bad thing? No..it's not special or even above average..but the hate that it's getting is really undeserved.

Good idea for a game, but images probably stolen from some rpg maker. Overall decent, fighting boring, story line has no good hook (Grandpa lost his newspaper! Soooo interesting! *Sarcasm included*). 3/5 at least, but 4/5 at most.

I agree with Warpstarkirby completely. And because I couldn't get over those two things the game has been ruined for me.

ugh this game just isn't as fun as the zelda game it blatantly steals everything about itself from. also the music is so bad

This game is amazing. Brings back the old days.Pixels,(bit of) anime, fighting and the music! What more can a man/teen ask?(besides achohal and guns) 5/5 who gives "master swords" for if you can't block and stuff. 5/5 5/5 5/5!!!

I played the game all the way through and never added a point to anything but strength. Did 700+ damage with each hit (STR was 70+) and had 3000+ HP but DEX, VIT and LUCK were all ridiculously low. Never put more than one skill point in money or drops and still had more than 100,000+ in GP at the end, with the strongest weapons in inventory.

Rough comments on here. To be critical: totally copy pasted. Quests need more work as does leveling system. Awesome map though!!

poison really should wear off eventually... I levelled up 3 times in a row and didn't have any antidotes and died while walking back to the shop to buy some

There are numerous problems with the game you can easily find with just one playthrough. (1) Poison is hilariously weak compared to other elemental effects like fire and ice. Fire does 20% extra damage per hit and ice slows down enemies. Poison only does 5% extra damage every 0.5 seconds for 5 seconds and only works if you stop attacking. Make it stackable or AT LEAST TRIPLE its damage so that stopping and letting poison do its job is actually worth the time. (2) Quest rewards are often incredibly useless. Near the end of the game where you most probably have the ultimate 200+ damage weapons, one of the quests gives you a weapon that does 20-50 damage.

(3) There are some enemies on the EDGE OF THE SCREEN so that when you move through a transition you are INSTANTLY HIT with NO CHANCE of avoiding it. Add the insane poison mechanic (see point 4) to the mix and it's just dumb. (4) Enemy poison is just an insanely broken mechanic that adds nothing but frustration to the game . Either make it weak just like player poison (with antidotes granting immunity to poison for x duration) or just scrap it altogether. (5) Skill point requirement for pushing and swimming. After going through a long dungeon and receiving a swimming manual you'd expect to be able to swim through the water just next to where you found it. Nope, you have to backtrack through the same boring dungeon and kill until you level up. Yet another frustrating and poorly-conceived mechanic.

After getting the Swimming manual late in the game I went back to some caves dungeons to pick up stuff which was formerly out of reach. Results: 1 Antidote, 1 Small Health Potion and a completely obsolete weapon. There's also a questgiver south of the Mausoleum who gives you a quest that you can't finish until like 30 levels later. Again the reward is a crappy weapon. Side quests are a waste of time because the rewards suck and with enough cash you have access to every weapon in the game basically right from the start. Stupid.

All about doing damage and dodging. Get the axe mastery and dagger mastery skills maxed out. The Zombie Ripper (axe) will do huge damage and poisons mobs. The Mermaid Tears (katar) will attack really fast and not allow them to get close and it slows mobs.

percentage damage (Poison) versus non-percentage healing (potions) is a really crappy idea, it would be better if poison wasn't percentage based, since that pretty much ruins the idea behind boosting HP.

When you reach Pandora's Cave, there is a hidden warp to the NE of the terminal that will take you directly to the summoner. (I stumbled on it after taking the wrong stairs (the left one) that warps you back to the beginning)
