Under rating threshold (show) This is going to sound very harsh, but I am only being so critical to try and give you some useful feedback on your game. So, grain of salt? :\ Here's what your game does badly. The EXP System: The main problem I find with this game is all the grind, but the grind is there because you need exp to get levels, and beat the bigger monsters. Why is the EXP system in the game at all? The build choices are very very shallow, and almost unnoticeable as you level up. If you build incorrectly, the game will punish you for it, but there's very little to cue into to figure out if you're doing it right or not.

Under rating threshold (show) The Loot: Here's a question, you have all this focus on grinding, but why are there no rare drops? It might make the Luck stat more useful, and also finding weapons off of monsters is a strong hook for an RPGesque system. Why bother having the shopping system in place if you can only get weapons from shops and chests? You might as well have had a window you could open to pay gold for upgrades like extra stat points.

Under rating threshold (show) The World: So, with all the trouble taken to emulate the action adventure games sired from Zelda, why is the game so linear? The main strength of these games is the open world exploration and the ability to go back and open new paths and areas. There is some reason to backtrack and explore, but only for very minor rewards. The other times, you may have to go back to old zones to progress, but really the way this is treated, you could have made the game a completely linear route with no backtracking and had the same effect. Additionally, to this end, it's obvious the game is scaled in such a fashion to slow down player progress as much as possible, because there just isn't any content to be had. Beat monsters, get stronger, find a new power (which doesn't really do much then to let you progress to the next zone) and do the same thing over and over in a loop.

Under rating threshold (show) Monster variations: There are only three types of monsters, things that shoot, things that don't shoot that are slow, and things that don't shoot and are fast. Very boring. Consider how you would have made your game differently if you'd taken out the exp system, offered no weapons sold at shops only arrows and consumables and opened up the map? That said, here's some stuff you did I felt was right. The sell back %: I like that at least you didn't push people by having 50% or less as the sell back rate. You actually promote people buying upgrades on a regular basis instead of hording gold to try and skip upgrades. So, nice move there. Warp system: Given the importance of shops, it was nice there were warps to go back and get new weapons, but why have a cost for them at all? Adding a price seemed arbitrary and the cost didn't even scale for how much money I was making in the later parts of the game, so it might as well not mattered later on. I appreciated it was there at all though.

Under rating threshold (show) Config panel: You let me rebind the controls! That's really unexpected for a flash game like this. I wasn't expecting that at all, so that's a nice bonus. Somethings I wasn't bothered by but I wish were different: The menus: I wish I didn't have to use the mouse at all? I used a gamepad for the game and I would have liked to been able to navigate menus without the mouse. But, the inventory system sorta mandates that... so I guess that's not really fixable.

Under rating threshold (show) Combat, the southeast deadspot: So, you can't swing a weapon towards the bottom-right. That's kinda irritating and an issue in a few screens. Would have been nice to have that not be a thing. Perhaps if I'd pressed both down and right at the same time? Puzzles: So, yeah some puzzles would be nice. It helps to break up flow and not get burnt out on combat. There's a reason you keep seeing them in zelda games!

Under rating threshold (show) Anyhow, I know that was a very critical inspection of your game, but I hope that you keep making these games, but put a lot more work into the final polishing. It's like they say, 10% of writing is the first draft, and the other 90% is the rewriting? Keep at it!

Under rating threshold (show) Could you please, matakukos, add a button in the skill menu while you level up, to take your stats and skill points away while you are still leveling up? Because i ended up putting a stat point in strngth to see how much more damage with a sword i did, while i so much prefer to attack with bows... And could you also add the npc and quest givers on the map? I know we already said it but i just say it once more. Besides that, it is a really great game, very well done, please do a sequel!

Under rating threshold (show) Legend of Pandora, which should feel familiar to fans of the old, classic and original Zelda titles for the Game boy and the SNES, is a good re-make and certainly a well done, constructed game. However, I have issues mainly with how slow the game can run. I've got the updated Firefox with 11 Flash; and the game runs awkwardly. Also, the quests aren't that exciting as well as the combat. And the variety of enemies is quite low, which is disappointing since I got tired after fighting snakes, zombies, and pellet shooters for an hour and a half. Overall, Legend of Pandora is a good remake of the classic Zelda titles; however; it does carry it's own problems and therefore I give it a 3.5 out of 5. Good work, MATAKUKOS.

Under rating threshold (show) God! I absolutely am a sucker for nostalgia! I love everything about this game! My favorite thing is how monsters will aggro to you when you attack another in the same map. The variety of monsters in a single map is also quite fun to fight around. Couple suggestions would be to fix when phasing into another map and moving along the border tends to toss you back to the previous map. Also adding a zoom function on the map with markers for towns and/or quests.

Under rating threshold (show) What's going to die first: the enemy or my J key? Some enemies just have way too much HP. Even with a stronger weapon, it takes like ten hits at least sometimes, and all they do is slowly shamble towards you, get swatted back, and repeat. Gets a little tedious. Overall, it feels more like a foundation or a prototype of an RPG; just testing monsters and NPC/quests to make sure it all works before putting the real content in. It just lacks personality at the moment. The maps themselves are decent, though. Some more puzzles, treasures, and other stuff out in the field would be a huge improvement.

Under rating threshold (show) My big problem with this game is it lacks boss battles. I was thinking Pandera's cave would lead to an epic fight but then it just ended. Boss battles would make it significantly more fun if this was 1997 this would be a great game but the mechanics and graphics feel very outdated. I understand it is supposed to be like Zelda but even old school Zelda has better mechanics. 3/5 nice try but you really need to add more meaning to the game instead of just wandering around just to find out your father was evil.

Under rating threshold (show) I like the rpgs you come out with, as a game its very good. Some useability improvements like the zoom feature might be nice but not neccesary. What I really want to say is my disappointment stems from this only being 1 part and not waiting to finish part 2 before release. And that as many others have stated the amount of material used from the loz gb games is a bit disturbing to me because I do feel you put out good work and that this game shows how your work continues to improve. Really looking forward to part 2 and other rpgs from you!

Under rating threshold (show) Loved the game. A couple of suggestions... 1) Bosses (at least one) 2) more puzzles 3) change the characters appearance with equips (i.e.- if you equip a shield you should actually see a sheild, and it should do something) 4) dont put a lvl cap on skills, let us be a bad-A with an axe/sword/whatever if we want. Thanks! Nice Job!
