I don't know what anyone's complaining about, this game is great-- as an example of why Zelda 2 is the only one that used an XP mechanic.

What am I suppose to do with the "Pushing manual". I got it but can't read/use it and still can't push anything... wtf?!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
the first enemy is just an octorok from legend of zelda but it looks like with a bit of tweaking thisgame can be lots of fun!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Bland art comprised of mostly recycled assets from God kows what tileset (who often humorously mismatch each other), atrocious hitreg, completely off-target algos for damage calculation and level scaling...
Just a weak, cheaply done Zelda lookalike.

Teleport system has fixed prices, they just are different for different locations. Needs too much grinding before you get enough money to get better weapons. Axes do the most damage, swords are faster. You can get some weapons as quest rewards but buying is the key. So invest points in money collector. You need mouse for shops and leveling up. Customize your keys for arrow key movement and whatever key you wish to wear out attacking.

One of the worst RPGs ever! Shit weapons that barely do any damage, friggin annoying tons of monsters and shit mecanics!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Not a bad game, but the TTK is quite too high for me. Weapons are also very expensive, which means you will need A LOT of time before being able to purchase something worth it. Finally, the teleport system should be much cheaper - and with a fixed price. 3/5

First, sound options belong in the main menu screen, not only available after going into a new/continued game. Second, the controls are just clunky: it cannot decide if it's a mouse driven game or a keyboard driven game and I'm constantly removing my hands from the keyboard to use the mouse. There are other gameplay issues, but those are the primary offenders.

Whack 25 octoroks 10 times each, use the computer in the middle of the grasslands, wonder where they recycled the music from, get badge.

It is possible to die before the first save point. My work around:hit enemies diagonally(left/right) in front of me. The quest requiring to kill the first monsters is not at start. 3/5

There's a difference between homage and rip off, and ripping the graphics and sounds directly from the Gameboy Color Zelda games puts this squarely in the latter category.

Did anyone else find a tree that auto swings for about 11-24 dmg when you swing at it? I thought I was swinging at an invisible enemy and got myself yeeted back to the exp equivalent of the stone age.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
This game is straight up a ripped off Legend of Zelda GBA game. I recognize the sounds, animations, enemies, and backgrounds. There's only a new menu interface slapped on, a few new enemies, and a few changed sound effects. Can't find any way to heal either. 1/5
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Frustrating. I had to submit a ticket to get the first badge, got the second just fine and now after reaching level 50 my game won't update again so I can get the badge. 1/5 for bugs and irritation =/

@Silmarillion101 you need to go through the labyrinth, there will be a soldier near a campfire at the end and he will give you the sewers key. To get to the labyrinth I think you need to bring 8 bandit or human eyes to a soldier south of windy village, he will give you the key to the labyrinth.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Hey, can anyone tell me how to get the Sewer Key? There are no hints given and I've scoured the map. At this point, it seems I'm missing something obvious.

If you get poisoned without an antidote, restart the game. There's nothing you can do. Even if you warp to town, it's likely you'll die in town.

if u are an adventurer, you wouldn't left home only with a sword and nothing else, will you?
no place to heal even you have got a home and a bed?
no computer to save at home but a computer in the middle of nowhere? you should let me know "how to save" at the very beginning, not after i got poison by the snake in the hidden dungeon and died few times. the swing of the weapon really need some polishing, need to be quite exact in order to cut a grass/ flower or hit an enemy.
invulnerable time after being attack is too short.
you should add a "Danger! deep water" sign near the 1st pond, so that people wouldn't walk into it and lose 2 HP without knowing what happened!

Neutral:
*There is a quest log to keep track of progress but it needs some QOL adjustments. During the course of the game, you get flooded with quests and it can get difficult remembering who gave which quest and which town they're in.
*There is only one song and it plays constantly the entire game, can't fault ya for that but it's not appealing either.
*Would be nice to get more info on stat changes. Investing in HP gives immediately noticeable results, but, the other stats aren't nearly as obvious with their changes.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Con:
*Character sprite and portrait box are mismatched, they look nothing alike and often are not even the same gender (talking to a blond haired boy for example brings up a portrait of a pink haired woman).
*Using a bow prevents the use of accessories due to arrows and rings sharing the same slot (dex rings serve little purpose if you can't use them with a bow)
*Some enemies have far too much hp, even if you're using the best available weapon at the time
*Ranged attackers such as thieves have more hp than melee attackers such as blue slimes
*Thief's knockback stat needs a reduction, considering they are ranged attackers. Once they start ganging up on you, it quickly becomes impossible to recover

Pro:
*The game gives an option to change controls, not all flash games offer this choice.
*Legend of Zelda theme
*Grammar & spelling are of good quality

this has the standard terrible rpg BS of a guy watching me kill 5 zombies then still asking me to kill 15 as if tho I hadn't killed any
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
nothing I've levelled up matters. I've put 6 levels into strength and I still only deal 1 damage. I've put every skill point into increasing the xp I gain and I still get the same base xp from each creature. this game is awful
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I've talked to like 6 NPCs and already found repeating pictures with palette swaps. this is seriously the laziest garbage
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I can't believe this doesn't have key commands to open menus
this game shouldn't need to involve three hands, why was this so lazy
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Well this is infuriating. Refreshed my game after saving since the achievements were not updating. The save data is now gone.

"Hey, grampa, I went to the shop and apparently there are monsters now that prevent newspaper delivery. Sorry. I'm going back to the garden now, OK? Thanks."

I have a glitch where I have the 'pushing manual' but the game doesn't seem to think i have it and wont let me move anything. So i am stuck unable to get any farther than the mausoleum. :(
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
wow, i had really fun playing this, even though i agree to the other comments that the weapons deal too few damage to the enemies, even if you have the best one and maxed skills. guess there could be another tier available, i had about 100k gold spare in the end :D nevertheless i found this quiet enjoyable - until the end!!! im quiet dissappointed right now to be honest. much potential, but lacks a bit of climatic story telling. like if the grind is the real game, but the given story is just the prequel to "the real thing" and thats not really matching.
anyways, i enjoyed it, thanks for making this game and i hope there will be the promised sequel somewhen in the future :P

Upgrading sword mastery and strength doesn't increase damage done on enemies. I still need same number of hits after upgrade, and their health always drops the same. At the moment, i kill bats with 3 hits, first 2 decrease their health to almost 0. I upgraded strength and sword mastery couple of times and nothing changed.

The one thing that bothers me about this is the pushing feature. You make some items pushable and not others, and then you can only push them one space at a time. The inconsistency and limitedness of this is really annoying and irritating, especially because if you mess things up you have to leave and come back to a screen.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
the game literally trolls you in the last room of the game! when you chose between the two sets of stairs, one of them restarts the entire dungeon XD
(psst... it's the one on the left that trolls you)
