HARD BADGE GUIDE: (Easy game if you follow this) 1. Skill Points: Max out skills in this order XP, Sword Mastery, Natural Armor, Berserker Hit. 2. Stat Points: ALL into Strength. 3. Save all your money for swords. Sell all arrows/bows/other weapons You should be hitting 650-800 damage by the end with the Golden Flame Sword (best in the game) Buy new swords when available. 4. Always have several antidotes on you for poison. 5. You can hit enemies behind most objects/npc's without getting hit. Use this when fighting enemies that shoot at you. 6. Good luck and was a really fun game (if you play it right) 4/5

That was extremely underwhelming, for a game that takes a few hours to complete. I wish I could say it was that long because of the difficulty, but it really was simply because of the tedium of hitting the same enemies scores of times before defeating just one. Even though I really enjoyed getting used to the mechanics, it quickly died down as my focus was more aimed at avoiding enemies to not have to bother wasting a good minute or two to move a single screen. I finished it, but I'm not satisfied. Show me what the sequel can really do!

Recolored graphics from the Legend of Zelda Game Boy games, with faces ripped from RPG Maker VX? Huh, dunno how to feel about it.

Character Level: 79
Gold in Inventory: 159,707
Attack Damage: 576 - 711
Attack Speed: 34
Strength: 78
Dexterity: 4
Vitality: 20
Luck: 4
Life: 18,334
As you can see, no need to put any points into Dex or Luck at all as a melee character - dodge is irrelevant as you shoudn't be getting hit much in any case. Drop rates don't matter either, since once you've got your end-game weapon, you'll have too much gold to know what to do with in any case. In hindsight, I could've easily left Vit at it's base value of 4 also, since the Natural Aromor skill - once maxed - gives all the boost to life you'd need. An extra 16 points to Str would have helped the game finish a little bit faster.
The toughest enemies on the last screen were taking 6-8 hits/kill.

Finished it in a day, a bit grindy at the start to save up for weapons, but once past windy village, I pretty much just did the main quests and ignored the non-compulsory sidequests. >>>>> Skills were levelled up in this order: 1) Student: Level 20 2) Sword Mastery: Level 3 3) Push: Level 1 4) Natural Armor: Level 20 5) Sword Mastery: Level 20 6) Axe Mastery: Level 3 7) Berserker Hit: All the Rest. >>>>>
End-Game Stats:
Weapon: Golden Flame
Accessory: Hercules Ring (Strength +12)

A very nice little game, reminded me of the days I played Zelda on my GBA :) It's refreshing to find a game like this, simple and easy to play, in the era of 3D games (which neither I nor my old laptop enjoy) Also, a big thank you for making it possible to change the controls! I couldn't play with AWSD to save my life and I lost count of how many games I ended up not playing 'cause I couldn't change the controls for the arrows like I'm used to.

there is a flashing red light when I pick up a quest, not when fullfilled the requirements- If you only could chose one shouldn't it be better other way around`?

This game has a lot of potential. It also really cranked up the nostalgia factor. However, I'll echo what everyone else is saying about every enemy being a meatshield and also add this: please please please don't place monsters along a scrollable edge of the screen. I've lost count of how many times I've been comboed on south island by moving to a new screen, having a snake spawn on top of me, and promptly poisoning me before i can react. Heck just one square away from the edge would suffice so i can get away if need be...

@nadavv: save 12.8k and buy gold slayer sword in the shop. if it's not helping, my stat are full strength and my skills are 20 sword mastery, 20 student, and the rest is on money collector (i use it for grinding the 12.8k at that time, but if you are patient enough, there is no need to do that) at that point. hope that helps.

The entrance of the last dungeon, there's a secret tile that takes you right to the last room. Has anyone discovered this or just me?

Hey... Uhh, matakukos, make a second game that takes place like a good 30 years after this, put in spells, less spam, a "continue" button, and maybe some other stuff, and I would definitely play that

@WinterDaqqem
I don't know if this holds true throughout the whole game, but at least in the snake pit you don't get attacked unless you land a blow, use that to your advantage.

be better if you didn't get overwhelmed by a mob of enemies as soon as you attack one of them. reminds me of the witcher 2 in that aspect. 1/5

Love the game, love the graphics... and I understand that water hurts me until I figure out how to swim. But the higher I level up, the more water hurts me. What is in this water?

There is a major game breaking mechanic to the game. If you are poisoned, save the game and die, you are still poisoned. The problem occurs when you have no antidotes or potions to run back to town and buy. You will then have to start a new game.

the more i played the lower the rating got, very tedious, almost no storyline and the end is just bad. and why not tell people that taking the axe just makes you get hurt at the end cuz of its tragic attack speed. tempted to give 1/5 but ill leave it at 2
