I wish I would have read the comments before I started playing. Why is it that every single weapon in the game SUCKS!!! The worst weapons in a shooting game ever!!

Lucky I bread the comments and went straight for the frag grenade. Didn't even get that baby fully upgraded and beat the game hehe

this game is like mixing a shot of confusion with a double shot of ripped off..... I couldn't understand the shop in the beginning, then, once I figured it out, I kept getting ripped off!!!

Are you kidding me seriously ? Planes that look like ketchup and temples and i cant kill them with shooting them acrros the whole map+spin and 2 bombs and the last boss just stops taking damage after left at 3 bars so you gotta suicide, dude this game sucks so hard at this point i dont wanna even try a 2nd time.

Halfway through, disappointed so far. Nearly every enemy in the game can rotate their guns to attack me wherever I am. Yet every bullet I have only goes straight. Meaning I have to be flying directly at them. 2nd and 3rd shots should fire at a 45 degree angle, so I have some spread.

If you want some cheap firepower, just go with plasma bullet and up them. You're just a little weaker, but it's a lot cheaper: I beat the game with it :)

has anyone else noticed how totally ineffective any weapons are once you hit about level 11? The only way i'm killing anything is by flying into it.

I was so disappointed with this game. It looks like so much fun and I love the graphics but the gameplay is just tedious and super grindy from start to finish. The weapons are all really weak and the differences between upgrades are negligible. The game is neither not long enough to justify the expense of the upgrades nor the extent of some of the in-game badges (anyone want to guess how many times you have to repeat a level to kill five thousand enemies?). The controls both in-game and in the shop are pretty wonky and the sound effects are extremely loud compared to the background music. Looks like there is a sequel, though, so hopefully that will be better.

For some reason, this game seems to stall my browser for half a minute when I first click onto the page. Oh well. This is a pretty great game, I will be playing the rest of the series shortly.

Ah, can't you make it so if your mouse goes off the screen the plane stays where it is??? So many times I accidentally put my mouse of screen and the plane flies into just about all the planes and bullets!!!!!

Best weapon is the second (Plasma Bullet), IMO. 2.5 damage per whatever (frame?) when maxed, and does the closest thing to focusing fire from a distance.

It's really fun, and the artstyle is pretty nice to boot, but these types of games really should have an option to use your bombs with the RMB.

I tried out the H-bomb, thinking it was just weak because of its slow firing speed - nope, it actually deals low damage. Somehow, despite it having the highest listed DPS of any weapon, I can kill single enemies more easily with a Sonic Shot. (Frag bomb doesn't seem much better, though - its special ability might triple its damage, but the sucker can't aim.)

Wait a minute. The glitch that causes enemies to mercilessly spam bullets whenever the game is lagging was in the original Notebook Wars too? Nrrrgh. . . Screw you Matakukos. That's unforgivable.

@Scruffythejanitr Couldn't imagine how a person using that name could be such an arrogant prick; thank you for the example.

In 1984 this game was called 1942. Although the hackneyed idea is still as dreadfully boring today as it was back then, at least the weapons in the original arcade game weren't "spit" or "wadded balls of paper". Rock on and enjoy if this is your cup of tea, but with ridiculous grinding for overpriced upgrade costs, a control scheme that is simply dumb, and the weakest weapon in any game ever, I can't find one redeeming quality in this game.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that stars aren't supposed to appear so close to the sides of the screen that they're unreachable, cause, you know, it's annoying missing one star because of that.

Last boss if you don't want to super upgrade to win just fly up his open sides to get him to spread his fire enough to have huge gaps when you wing back in front and up his other side. Liked the other one of these better. But this one was ok. Got a bit tedious and the rockets blowing up after x seconds was annoying and made them almost less useful then the ones before.

BUG:When the final enemy of the level comes, try to get close to it,then wait for the you win screen come let he kill you and it appears "you win" then "you lose" at same time. if the losing screen somes first you lose but if the you win screen comes first you win.
