I clicked on the "Bluewolfgames" logo accidentally too many times, and I'm done with this game now.
It's reached the point where it's too irritating to be worth the fun.

i think it's worth mentioning that the blue enemies, "kaprals", are immune to all status effects; they can't be slowed, poisoned, scared, stunned, or even burned! i'm not sure about "headshots", that is, Billy's 2nd skill...

I don't like how Chuck's fire rate drops randomly with the skill. Even if he hits a bunch in a row. Decent game otherwise, sequel maybe? 4/5

Well I finally did it and it took a *LOT* of tries and luck but I got 3 gold stars on the last level and managed to get the 15 gold stars achievement. :)
Great game, nice music and a decent difficulty curve. Just one minor gripe, once you've sold an item it's gone for good. It might be worth putting 'em back into the shop just in-case you sell the wrong one. :)

there is a bug where if you position your cowboy near the edge of the screen, the cowboy shoots and hits the enemy as it is coming in, but does not do any damage.
The enemies can only be damaged when they get much further in.

Sorry, but if you gonna create a tower defense game in late 2011, you REALLY need to get something original... using the wild west as background is not enough.
2/5

Replaying levels should get you something other than stars (like cash).... and the achievements should give you bonuses. The game itself is an interesting concept but it needs more work and some ideas like being able to pave terrain so that you can put your cowboys where they actually need to be. (3/5)

Best way to win 90% of the levels:
1. Get a few Tecumseh with just 1 upgrade (to see cloaked units).
2. Get a ton of Billy Kid and just upgrade his headshot ability.
Even on the levels with a lot of immune guys, I still had enough Billy Kid to kill them, no problem.
Vote up to spread the strategy!

Tug nr. 1 "Oh shit, that's a lot of guys wielding guns. Mabey we should take a different route.
Tug nr. 2 NO, LET'S JUST CHARGE THEM HEAD ON WHIT ALL OUR FORCES

totally disagree with punksush. Billy is the best when his stun is maxed. easy to kill the enemy when they are standing still. Try to think outside the box.

Error in the game: If you update Chuck's damage and then later his attack speed upgrade, the bonus accumulates for all his levels, but does not in reality apply. Fx: Upgrade Chuck 4 levels with damage only and then do the attack speed upgrade. The damage upgrades remain and it now says 15 % instead of 3 % attack speed upgrade pr. shot. However, nothing happens when he shoots - not even the 3 % modifier applies.

Is it me or victories in Hard [3 star] do not give Exp? The message says "you gainned the maximun exp for this battle" (or something like that) but the exp bar seems not to move...

good game. i give it 4/5. the upgrade system doesn't quite fit it. I always get torn apart when choosing which one I should go with to upgrade.

To show why crit is not worthless
(15 * .7) + (60 * .3) = 28.5
(19 * .76) + (76 * .24) = 32.68
35*1=35
(23 * .82) + (92 * .18) = 35.42
(31 * .94) + (124 * .06) = 36.58
(27 * .88) + (108 * .12) = 36.72
2 crit 3 damage is highest average damage
Do not believe top comments just because they are ranked, pures are almost always overpowered or under powered. at least in crits this is well balanced.

Autopause needs to happen when placing towers as well as when upgrading. I've lost to bosses so many times because I couldn't get the last tower there in time.

if billy the kid can shoot at two targets at once, if there is only one target, he should be able to shoot both his guns at one guy and do double the damage..

@punksush1 Couldn't agree more. The point of leveling up and getting skills should not be to then have the option of trading damage for something that becomes useless without damage upgrades.
