There's no game play. There's barely any strategy needed. 90% of the game is simply buying the best gear you can and hitting play, and then waiting. Not fun at all.

"Sir! We are outa fuel! We need to leave immediately!" "NO lieutenant!. WE NEED THAT ORE..." "But sir! We're gonna get blown up by whatever the heck that green thing is!" "I DON'T CARE! WE ARE GONNA SIT HERE AND WAIT FOR THE SHIP TO FLOAT TO THAT ORE."

"Wow I designed the most powerful space ship of the galaxy!"
"Nice! What does it look like, the millenium falcon, the Enterprise, the heart of gold, the death star!?"
"Nah, just a rectangle..."

The coolest part in this game is that in later levels, after you finish a level, you just fly away into the ebbs of space. The more fuel you have leftover, the more it becomes philosophical...

Hmm, I have loads of reserve fuel, and even though my ship is damaged it will slowly repair over time.
I know, I'll constantly accelerate into more and more enemies until I'm overwhelmed. Yay me.

If you're having trouble beating a level, put all your weapons on the left side of the ship, and fly all the way to the right. Equip just enough fuel to get through the level, and put x4 +25% damage, all the level 3 shielding, and all the regen items. If you are still having trouble, make sure all your weapons are level three. This isn't very good for when you are farming resources, but late game this makes it easy.

An interesting game, but some things.
1) Get rid of the stars or make them more important, I felt my cargo was wasting time on them when I have 5 times as many as I'll ever use.
2) Let us pick what our cargo prioritizes as Ore was WAY more important to me early/mid game, and late game repair/fuel was.
3) The only enemy I had trouble with was the Phantoms, the Pirates were laughable, and the Swarm merely annoying, Let them scale better rather than throwing bigger waves at us. (1/2)

I finally figured out how to beat the game. The biggest problem was effective DPS. I needed to mitigate the amount of DPS loss from disappearing projectiles. To do this I removed all my missiles because they fired slowly, and I ONLY used the level 3 guns. I then staggered them in an X pattern through my ship.
Once I beat the game the game DIDN'T SAVE MY SHIP. I want to share and show off my ship, but I'd have to play through the whole thing again to achieve what should have been presented to me. This is a terrible design.
Here what I remember
All Level 3 gun module.
0 level 3 missiles module.
All level 3 regen modules.
Approx 4 +25% Damage boosters.
2 Level 3 fuel tanks modules
3 double drone harvester modules. (Back center, back right, and back left.)
Rest shield modules.
To developer: Just because I figured out how to beat the game using this tactic does not make the game a good tactical game.
To players: The ending isn't worth it. Just give up if you feel frustrated.

I could forgive the imbalance of certain aspects more if I could set priorities for my guns and harvesters. Still, pretty fun; reminds me a bit of Galaxy Truckers :)

I think this game needs better introduction to the game mechanics, and not limiting fuel or items in the shop, I would rather be able to spend longer time doing stuff my way instead of being forced into some odd beast.

I can't go back and buy regens? I'm on the last level. Pfft. not playing again, 1 star for being sqrewed on the last level

Want some cool tips for the harder levels ? First forget abour symetry, put all your weapons and gathering droids on one side and all your defensive sets on the other side. Then all you have to do is to clutch yourself to the wall. you'll encounter less ennemies and won't show your defensive sets as targets !

reaching the last boss was pretty hard while killing it took only 2 secs...
less minions and harder bosses in the last 3 galaxies maybe
4/5, simple and fun.
and for those who dont know how to beat stage 3 of the last galaxy: no missiles. use all repair modules, 0-2collectors, 2x fuel , 6-8x dmg boost, 6-8 armor and loads of fastshooters (some at the back of your ship)

I'm encouraged to fail so that I can get all the resources from doing the section again and again. Getting only half of what's left when I finish actually punishes me for having a good ship and being able to clear an area first time.

funny game. Some solution:
1. Re-launching starts before killing zone mini boses helps with harvesting all those needed materials, which i find rly helpfull later in the game.
2. Buy those healing machines, at later stages i couldnt find any at shop, and they r rly usefull
3. Dont put all missles next to each other as they will fire at once at one target ( which is a huge waste)
4. Struggling last wave ? U can use a trick - move your ship to the one side of map so that not every enemy will fight u. Bit lame, but this is an easiest way to finish the game.

very fun game, however the final level feels to hard, and i think it might be because either its set too hard and needs either a particular layout to beat it, which in my opinion is wrong for this kind of game, or 2, the shop refreshes to little, because the final level is essentially mass customization.
and some thing i would like to see, however might make it too complex, is prioritization of weapons, and gathering units so that you can choose what you want them to pick more of
but overall very well made and very fun, 4 of 5 stars

Anyone fly beyond the final boss thinking there is a secret boss? Well I tried and I got the boss meter that was empty and stopped moving I was about halfway to the menu button

normally, i like that type of games, but this her is - for me - only a 3-star-game. so why? you've just to sit around and wait till your shit has farmed enough iron. like some others here said: stars aren't the problem: there are more than enough of them.

Game developer protip: If your users are going off to check their email during the game, you need to make it more interactive.

It is way to easy to lock yourself into a bad build and not have a way out. I am stuck on the core of the last level and cannot get the resources, or the items to show up in the shop, to get me out of the situation.

If this game gets a part 2 I would suggest higher level harvesters have options of what to grab. At the end of the game Id rather be grabbing repairs and fuel than stars or ore Ill never use.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Too bad missiles don't have guidance systems that can re-target if their target goes down before they get there. They're so darn slow to move and fire.

Positive - Easy game to understand. Navigation is decent. Custom ship layout. Ability to sell outdated ship parts back. I like the reward for conquering the zones.
Negative - Ore to star ratio really is off. Not enough information about the things you can pick up (maybe a small ingame pedia needed?). Ship quickly becomes so large it gets hard to see the rest of the screen.
Overall - Not a bad game, but needs several tweaks. 3.6 / 5
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
There should really be a trader to convert stars to ore and vice-versa, and maybe controlling where shots go using the mouse, this way you don't end up having all your weapons focusing on destroying the minor ships instead of the bosses, ultimately leading to death.

Great concept. Needs better execution. Pretty much end up with a big flying rectangle of stuff. Maybe consider placement advantages. Placing engines along the bottom edge makes them more efficient, that sort of thing. Consider shrinking components so that ship and boss ships don't bump into eachother so badly. Although this would make the game more complex, consider giving hitpoints to the individual components. Once an individual component has lost all it's hitpoints, it no longer functions. Automatic resourceless repair upon returning to base, along with possible repair component for repairing on the go. Also, fuel and repair items should always be grabable regardless of cargo capacity.

Fun game... If you are doing a second one... I would focus a little more on ship layout... for example a rocket shape, a dumb bell shape, funky star trek or star wars designs... also have advantages & disadvantages to each layout. Also improve the story... Cheers.
